Name: Simon Dean, Ayeniner
My RP speciality is, dare I say it, playing the underdog. I've always liked coming up with new and exciting ways to trump opponents who think they're mega-super-special-uber powerful. Most of the time, it works (Insert :P face here)! I've been in many different factions over the years of roleplaying here but I usually end up going it alone. I have not participated in any really big roleplays lately as I have been 4000 miles away from home, without internet, for seven months. Oh dear!
I would specifically be going for the Science Council and/or Patent Office roles.
(It's probably wise for me to note here that I was a Science Councillor back when the PO was open. What I am looking for is to help out with the PO. Contrary to all the shnizz that actually went on before it closed, I actually enjoyed my time as an Officer and would love to be one again, if only to help out and get the PO running again. I marvelled a the imagination and improvisation that the players used in some patents, and with some patents myself, I really appreciated the opportunities such a thing brings).
Like I mentioned, I like playing the underdog and was always wary of overpowered shnizz going through. I also cancelled at least two of my own pending patents as, on review, I thought they were too powerful.
Well, I studied Physics and Chemistry just before going to university and I have a good grasp at complex Physics concepts. On the other side, I am an absolute Star Wars freak and I know almost too much about Canon technology and history. :P Also, as mentioned before, I used to be a Councillor and PO.
Experience on Jedi vs Sith:
Been around since the beginning of 1.0 as one character or another. Been on the extreme all-superlaser-dreadnaught side of things, and the simply my-biggest-ship-is-a-Victory-SD side. I know where the line to draw is. Apart from that, I just like it here and even if not roleplaying, I like to check in with my JvS friends on FB just to see how the site is doing.
List and Explanation of Infractions on Jedi vs Sith:
This is pretty simple; none! :)
Even if I am not eligible for a Science Councillor position for whatever reason, or if you guys are full up, I'd still be up for being an old-style Patent Officer were we had no powers apart from the PO. Just a thought.
