Thanks for the bailout. That's the only one I didn't wrap my head around, but once I did - makes sense.

Re: Not a poll, but what's your alignment?

Neural Evil - Mainly because he plays by his own set of morals and standards, and because he employes both sides of the Force to acquire more knowledge, in order to fulfill his preordained destiny. So, he will do what he must to meet his goals and get his means, even if that means switching from a reliable ally to a vicious enemy at the drop of a hat.

Chaotic Evil - The moniker says it all, and it wasn't earned due to being a "nice guy" or "sympathizing with others feelings"...

Sometimes, The Code doesn't list every eventuality. Sometimes, the laws of man are not the laws that should govern sentient life. Sometimes, you have no choice but to listen to your own instincts.

Jago Pulastra is a man who understands these truths. He's never been a big believer in Fate or Destiny, and sees nothing as preordained. He recognizes the fact that even good guys have to do things that may break the law. However, he's always followed his moral code in any action he's attempted, with his own morality being slanted towards The Jedi being good and The Sith being evil.

He believes heavily in the concepts of freedom and choice, and recognizes that not all governments do so. He will go above the heads of authority if he feels that they're not acting in a beneficial way towards the people they're supposed to protect, and while he has serious doubts about who he is as a Jedi, he's confirmed who he is as a person.

He's a person who will stand up to tyranny and oppression, who will fight to Protect The Order and The Republic, who has sacrificed his body and soul in the never-ending fight against the evils in The Galaxy. There are many aspects of The Code he does not agree with or is at least confused on, but he recognizes and accepts why they're in place and why they're important to try and adhere to. While he has killed in the past with little to no qualms, he has tried to stay his hand as much as possible after becoming a Jedi, though still has difficulty controlling his emotions under duress.

He is The Ace Of The Galaxy, a hero through-and-through. While he may often ponder what it means to be a Jedi and still questions whether or not this was the path he should have walked, he's glad he took that first step and is ready to lay down his life for it.

Re: Not a poll, but what's your alignment?

I have to say [b:35wz5qa0]Chaotic Neutral[/b:35wz5qa0][/color:35wz5qa0][/url:35wz5qa0] based on the site that Kaan posted and not the picture. Reading the links for each type of character I found that Isabelle falls most in line with Type 4 Chaotic Neutral.

[quote:35wz5qa0]Type 4 are those who are overly cynical, and hold no allegiance to anyone and decide for themselves what is right or wrong, and whether or not they want to do anything about it. They are often the disillusioned types who once held onto an ideal or have lost their family or friends, and often belonged to a completely different alignment, but others were cynical from an early age, often (but not always) due to a bad childhood. They can be dragged into The Quest or bought for their services, and may battle the forces of evil if they come across them or they get in the way, but they lack conviction beyond basic self-interest, and if they still aspire to better themselves they are usually their own worst enemy. They are often loners, though they may have a handful of close family or friends, and tend to prize survival highly with wealth, luxury and power often being mainly (though not necessarily exclusively) a means of ensuring said-survival for good, assuming they are not self-destructive or suicidal. At their worst can be completely amoral and indifferent to other people getting hurt whether or not by their own hand, but they usually have the potential to still be good people. [/quote:35wz5qa0]

Kel himself would say Lawful Evil but I say Chaotic Evil. His misguided sense of what he sees as "justice" is self-serving at best and flat-out anarchic at worst.

Red is certainly following the will of the Force, and the force cares for no laws of mortals. He tries his best to minimize casualties and will never outright kill an opponent, so long as that opponent is not trying to kill him. Red will break the rules of his order to help others, and although the Jedi order is strict, Red would never follow the rules when someone needed help.

Re: Not a poll, but what's your alignment?

Being the 'Chaotic Good' character that I am, I hereby reject your system of governance, and institute my own (stolen from the Rifts RPG, which I always thought had a superior system of Alignments to D&D...)

Principled (Good): Principled characters are, generally, the strong, moral character. They rarely lie, respect the law, try to be ALWAYS honest, etc.

Scrupulous (Good): Scrupulous characters value life and freedom above all else, and despise those who would deprive others of them. This type of hero is typically portrayed in many Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson films; the person who is forced to work beyond the law, yet for the law, and the greater good of the people. They are not vicious or vindictive men, but are men driven to right injustice. These characters will always attempt to work with or within the law whenever possible.

Unprincipled (Selfish): This, basically, good person tends to be selfish, greedy, and holds his/her personal freedom and welfare above almost everything else. He/she dislikes confining laws, self-discipline and distrusts authority. This is the Han Solo, Star Wars, character. The guy who is always looking for the best deal, associates with good and evil characters, is continually tempted to lie and cheat, and hates himself for being loyal and helping others.

Anarchist (Selfish): This type of character likes to indulge himself in everything. He is the insurgent, con-man, gambler and high roller; the uncommitted freebooter seeking nothing more than self-gratification. This character will, at least, consider doing anything if the price is right. These people are intrigued by power, glory and wealth. Life has meaning, but his has the greatest meaning. Laws and rules infringe on personal freedom and were meant to be broken. An anarchist aligned person is always looking for the best deal, and will work with good, selfish or evil to get it; as long as he comes out of the situation on top. The anarchist is continually teetering between good and evil, rebelling, and bending the law to fit his needs. Often mercenaries fall into this category.

Miscreant (Evil): This self-serving, unscrupulous character is out only for himself. Power, glory, wealth, position, and anything that will make his life more comfortable is his goal. It matters not who gets caught in the middle, as long as he comes out smelling like a rose. This person will lie, cheat and kill anyone to attain his personal goals.

Aberrant (Evil): The cliche that there is "No honor among thieves." is false when dealing with the aberrant character. This is a person who is driven to attain his goals through force, power, and intimidation. Yet the aberrant person stands apart from the norm, with his own, personal code of ethics (although twisted ethics by the standards of good). He expects loyalty from his minions, punishing disloyalty and treachery with a swift, merciful death. An aberrant person will always keep his word of honor and uphold any bargains. He will define his terms and live by them, whether anyone else likes it or not.

Diabolic (Evil): This is the category where the megalomaniacs, violent, and most despicable characters fall. This is the cruel, brutal killer who trusts no one and has no value for anyone or anything that gets in his way. Aberrant aligned characters find these dishonorable people just as revolting as a good aligned character.

Galdaart Fel: Scrupulous
Cal Witwer: Principled
Tir Kaarn: Aberrant
The Preacher: Unprincipled
Krayton Jantsk: Scrupulous
Jorek Malestrom: Anarchist
