Lets face it some people are never going to like these films whoever had the rights to make them because they won't be perfect to what we imagine. However I'm excited just as I was before the prequels came out because its STAR WARS AND STAR WARS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote:laapecdz]

except for Jar Jar, that rodder is going down [action:laapecdz]cocks shotgun[/action:laapecdz][/quote:laapecdz]

LOL I hated Jar Jar at first, then I watched the first film again and started watching him more, especially in the background scenes, I couldn't stop laughing. He's pure slapstick fun.

Disney owns marvel, and they have made an awesome avengers movie, and lucas still owns writing rights, like stan lee has input, so i think bring it on 2015

sadly yes. they both had two sequels, Lion King 2 was only moderately bad but Lion King 1 and a half should be used as torture for suspected terrorists. Cinderella 3 and The Little Mermaid II are basically the same movie

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

whine. nemoidian. moan. Complain. whine some more. Say epicaly stupid Sithspit.

This is what I read on these kinds of threads. New Star Wars is AWESOME. Episode 1 is over 10 years old now. And really, it wasnt THAT terrible. I mean, it wasnt fantastic, but it didnt completely suck. Same with Episode 2. It had its moments. I mean, who didnt Sithspit themselves a little when Yoda showed us how Ataru is supposed to look? Episode 3 was almost all good....if you cut out all the Sithspit love story that Lucas doesnt know how to write.

But Rob.....did you hit your head this morning? Are you sick?- You might ask. To which I will look at you like you just suffered brain damage. SW fans love to complain. Its all we ever do. About everything. The joke goes "Only a true SW fan hates Lucas". I dont like Lucas writing for the prequals. Thats it. HIs vision of SW is what brought us all here. Dude and chicks, aliens and robots in space with laser swords and mind powers that can crush your face like a tin can....I mean wow........ 5 years old watching RoTJ on my dads lap......who doesnt remember that Sithspit at my age?

Come on people. Get Excited. This Sithspit is epic. Finally a movie studio that has made some seriously awesome movies lately. Like come one.

"Cinderella 2-3...Litter Mermaid 2. Lion King 1.5 and 2..." Boo kriff Hoo Wanda. Dont forget Avengers. Toy Story 1-3, Cars, Pirates, Snow White, Hercules, Emperors New Groove, Mulan, kriff Tangled, 20,000 leagues, Monsters Inc, Brave, Wreck it Ralph, The Muppets.......Seriously. Pull your head out of your choobies.

We can all admit out of all those movies listed Bambi II was the worst of them all.

I hope Disney does a better job with the saber fights.

^^Nick Gillard has nothing on Wieber, Flyte, and Scott.

Jus' sayin.

I also call them busting out the yellow sabers, and probably pitting two dual-saber wielders against each other at one point in the trilogy, giving u a tid bit peek in the previews just to make you cream your pants.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I--and I can't believe the words are coming out of my mouth--agree with Dace.

A new Star Wars could be awesome. Lucas not writing, only providing creative input...Disney's proven track record, plus lightabers, Sith, and Jedi? Yes, please! It could very well surpass the prequels in awesome. We all know nothing will surpass the originals in our memories...

The only question is which story line will they pursue and will the original cast make cameos (I hope so)?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

The only thing I disagree with in Dace's rant is that Episode I was that terrible.
And yet I'll still watch it, because it's Star Wars.
In the same way that I am completely stoked for a new trilogy; because it's Star Wars.
Good or bad, it's virtually guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience simply because it's Star Wars.

So anyone nay-saying all of this before the movie even has an official release date is retarded. Even if you're not at enthusiatic as I am, at least wait for the damned movie to pop up in previews or something before you condemn the whole thing.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I think a lot of the naysaying is due to people's (well-founded) fears that the new movies will be basically another slap to the face. Like the prequels that favored a dominance of CGI and action over a story-driven plot with well-developed characters. And how Clone Wars basically took the phrase "Canon? What's that?" as their official slogan. Fans are afraid of more of that, I think. Me, I am hopeful. Cautiously optimistic, so to speak. I just think you shouldn't be too hard on the naysayers. They just don't want more disappointment.

oh by the way, there was an announcement saying they will be making an original story and not go with established canon. *takes the Thrawn Trilogy and tears pages out of it then puts them one by one into the paper shredder*

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Yeah...uh....the only thing that ruined everything for me....

Was that the established canon just got wrecked. Which is why, since that particular announcement, I've been rereading every single Star Wars novel I can get my hands on.

Just so I can remember what really is supposed to happen.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I love the fact there are going to be more star wars movies but Disney may not make it how we think they will. I don't want them to mess it up and would prefer something on the new republic. Or they could make an old republic or republic commando series of movies would be good.

So yes but no.
