Re: Massassi Arena

*Dav was in the flow of the Force, surrendered to it's guidance, completely lost within the fight. He allowed all his skill, all his instinct, all of his power and knowledge and experience - and, most of all, that feeling of complete serenity that combat, and combat alone, granted him - to flow, to combine, to merge fluidly with the eternal wisdom of the Force. He felt the grenade coming a moment before he heard the tell-tale thud of the launcher, and he had already decided what to do about it before it had even traversed half-a-meter of the space between him and his one-time student.

His head turned, making eye-contact with the grenade over his right-shoulder. His body followed, in an almost exact mirror of the turn he had made moments earlier to face Erebus. The right hand dropped, lowering the green blade to his side. His left arm swept up and around, coming to horizontal. As it swept, his fingers uncurled, launching the cyan blade out into the air - it spiralled through the air, headed for the echo of Tebana Sor. The left hand continued it's arc, and as it passed into the space between him and the grenade, he let loose another Force push, this time broader, with less impact but no less effect - the push wrapped the grenade in it's telekinetic effect, diverting the grenades course back along it's own path. The grenade didn't have the height remaining to return completely to Jessop, impacting the ground between him and Dav, exploding powerfully and sending great plumes of dirt, smoke, and brick into the air.

And then through the smoke burst the Jedi Master, leaping through the air, coming down at Jessop with his blade raised behind his head to strike.*

Re: Massassi Arena

*She saw the cyan blade coming, and she knew better than to stand her ground. And so she took the only option available to her: she rolled to her left, enhancing the motion with the Force, propelling herself out of the path of the thrown lightsaber. As soon as she was safely out of the way, and her feet anchored firmly on the ground, she ran.

She ran, full-out, towards Jessop. Erebus was scampering away, but Jessop had no means of protection in close quarters combat. So she would come to his aid. She knew that the attack was coming because it wasn't just dirt, smoke, and brick that had been sent into the air. Small particles of the pathogen had been sent up as well, as it had spread throughout the floor of the Arena.

So it was that, when Dav Man'Sell burst from the smoke towards his foe, his other foe was already almost there to intercept, swinging her blade in a wide horizontal arc towards his back, taking advantage of the fact that his blade was already in the process of swinging down in front of himself towards Jessop. If she knew Dav Man'Sell, she knew that he would probably have five different ways to counter her assault while still continuing his, but she had to take this chance. She had to take the risk of confronting him directly. The Seed needed to be recovered properly, and she needed to end this threat to her species once and for all.*
