[b:dpl4od4x]Call of Mand'alor[/size:dpl4od4x][/b:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]For our first story, we turn to one of our new rookie reporters, Darian Beviin[/npc:dpl4od4x]

"This is Darian, formerly of Clan Beviin, reporting for the Holonet News Network. Generally speaking, the people behind the scenes of the holonet aren't a huge fan of mando'ade. I can't imagine why."

[i:dpl4od4x]The subtle sound of flames raging somewhere the the background is slowly drowned by blood curdling screams, and the young looking man with dark hair, bold features and jade green eyes slowly blinked, folding his hands. Behind him, a man ran across the backdrop of the set, and Darian simply paused for a moment as the man fell over face first.

And then, he went on. [/i:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x]

"Many of you may have heard the call of Mand'alor. It was broadcast galaxy wide several days past, against the better judgment of many of the clan leaders. As is expected, there was a quick rally to the Oyu'baat in Keldabe- which leads me to beleve that far more of my vode than I like to admit have a drinking problem- and the Crusade has been sparked. Only not sanctified. And sanctification is of vital importance, whether or not you know it-"

[i:dpl4od4x]Darian was cut short by another loud scream, the man shooting upright just behind him and flailing his arms in the air like a madman. Upon closer inspection, it can be ascertained that the man had been set on fire, and was burning to death. Slowly.

Darian's nose twitched suddenly, and he quickly turned round, burying the head of his hand axe deftly into the chest of the man several times in quick succession. The body went limp and fell back, and Darian slowly took his seat with a satisfied nod of his head.[/i:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x]

"Kad Ha'rangir has spoken with the voice of Mand'alor, and he has united his children in holy war without end. If you wish to join our just cause against those who stagnate the world through their wretched visions, their incessant reliance on a power not their own, to strike down the infidels who poison this great galaxy, you have but to come forth.

And woe betide those who stand against the might of the Great Destroyer and his flock."

[i:dpl4od4x]With an uncharacteristic calm in his voice, Darian lifted his notes and shifted through them, tapping them against the desk softly. Blood had painted his face, though he showed no inclination that it had bothered him at all. Rather, he continued immediately into the next piece. [/i:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x]

"There have been several reports, unconfirmed though very likely, of a meeting being called on Yavin for the Jedi Watch. While the topic remains shrouded in mystery, there are just too many galactic goings-on to discount this rumor as false, and as such, we will keep you updated as to the validity and purpose of the alleged meeting. Yavin, hmmm? Interesting... interesting indeed..."

[i:dpl4od4x]Placing his notes down, Darian gave a warm smile that screamed of psychopathy when coupled with that winning face of his, and he placed his hands down on the table, standing upright.[/i:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x]

"Again, this has been Darian Beviin, reporting to you from the newsroom. Join us again soon for your regular galaxy news update. Kad's blessings upon you all!"

[action:dpl4od4x]The screen fades to black with a shattering noise and more loud screaming.[/action:dpl4od4x]

[narration:dpl4od4x]The camera view then returned to Stan in the studio sitting behind the news desk[/narration:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]Uhm, thank you for that... thrilling report Darian.[/npc:dpl4od4x]

E[/color:dpl4od4x]n[/color:dpl4od4x]d[/color:dpl4od4x] of[/color:dpl4od4x] t[/color:dpl4od4x]h[/color:dpl4od4x]e[/color:dpl4od4x] W[/color:dpl4od4x]o[/color:dpl4od4x]r[/color:dpl4od4x]l[/color:dpl4od4x]d[/color:dpl4od4x]![/color:dpl4od4x][/size:dpl4od4x]

(Live Footage From Earth)[/size:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]You have all heard the hype, and our friend Yoikns has the story...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Good Morning Peoples of the Galaxy. This is Yoikns John-Bob, your HNN correspondent.
[action:dpl4od4x]Yoikns shuffles some papers around at a desk he is currently sitting behind.[/action:dpl4od4x]

Now, we all know of this stupid theory that the planet Earth(God knows what or where that is..) will be destroyed sometime in the month of December thanks to some crackpot Mynoks.. [action:dpl4od4x]Yoikns then looks off camera and puts his right hand up to his right ear, frowning before continuing on.[/action:dpl4od4x]
..Sorry, I have just been informed there is no Mynocks involved but rather a mysterious group called the Mayans, who made a calendar and didn't bother to finish it before leaving on some epic quest.
[narration:dpl4od4x]He then adjusts his notes, looking a bit worried at what he was about to announce..[/narration:dpl4od4x]

According to my notes, they were all eaten by a Evil Rabbit, and that they had to answer a series of weird questions before crossing a bridge, although I doubt the accuracy of what my Editor has given me to read here.. [action:dpl4od4x]Skimming through the next few bits of his script, Yoikns murmurs something that sounds like 'Knights on NIi?', 'Messiah, very naughty boy..?' and finally the name 'Brian?'. He looks off camera again to where his editor should be and mouths 'git', before returning his gaze back to the rolling camera and smiling.[/action:dpl4od4x]

Now Ladies and Gents we have an inhabitant of this 'Earth' place whom we interviewed earlier this month. [narration:dpl4od4x]The view then fades to a random street in America, where a local boy[/url:dpl4od4x] stands on a pavement.[/narration:dpl4od4x]
Young man, What is your opinion of the End of the World?

[npc name=Ralph:dpl4od4x]I'm a Unicorn![/npc:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=YJB:dpl4od4x]Yes, I can see.. Wait, WHAT?![/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The boy starts to jump around before running off down the road and out of sight.[/action:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]Yoikns then turns back to the camera.[/action:dpl4od4x]
Well as you can see, even the children are scared out of their minds about this apparent event.

[narration:dpl4od4x]One of the news-crew with him then handed over a clip-board with many papers attached.[/narration:dpl4od4x]
Now, there are other reports on this planet that various groups are constructing massive water-based vessels called ARK's to carry the population to safety if there are floods, others are preying to deities to save them.. err.. here is a couple words from Whill Shaman's Xixo and Gotrek about the apparent end of the world...

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]Oh, I've always lived my life without holding anything back, so whether the world ends or not is of little consequence to me and my daily existence.[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
if the world is ending, I say let it come. I'm a troll slayer. Seeking our doom is what we do. Plus finally there will be a screw up that wasn't my fault.

[action:dpl4od4x]The reporter then flicks through a few pages whilst still standing on the pavement, trying to find anything else to report..[/action:dpl4od4x]

..Ah! Locals have also been mourning one of their great astronomical heroes this month, the star-gazing legend Sir Patrick Moore.[/url:dpl4od4x] I would like to ask the Galactic community to share a moments silence with me. [action:dpl4od4x]With that Yoikns lowered his head in respect for about a minute before returning a smile to the camera.[/action:dpl4od4x]

Yoikns John-Bob, signing out.

[narration:dpl4od4x]The camera then fades out to return to the HNN Studio[/narration:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]Thank you for that report Yoikns. The HNN is happy to inform you that since we are all still here, the world clearly did not end... We will be right back after these commercials...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[b:dpl4od4x]Torque's Corner[/b:dpl4od4x][/size:dpl4od4x]

[narration:dpl4od4x]Stan reappears on the screen sitting behind the news desk[/narration:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]And we are back. Today we see the launch of a new addition to the HNN known as Torque's Corner, I'll let Torque explain it...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]Torque appears on screen, sitting behind a desk with a holo screen behind him[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Torque:dpl4od4x]Thank you Stan, and welcome to Torque's Corner, where each month I will be tackling one important topic at a time, with your help. Each month we will be offering up an Opinion Poll for you to vote and voice your opinion in about the matter. So without further ado, let us get underway...[/npc:dpl4od4x]
[action:dpl4od4x]The holo screen behind Torque fades to show an image of a fleet battle[/url:dpl4od4x][/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Torque:dpl4od4x]War! It divides worlds, star systems and the galaxy at large, bringing death and destruction in it's wake. But war also unites unlikely allies against a common foe, it also opens up opportunities for people to rebuild and have a change of pace as opposed to the regular routine of peace. So while war can be nitty gritty, it can also be prosperous. But is it all it's cracked up to be? In the wake of the recently announced war on Force Users by the Mand'alor, I put the question to you, the viewers, to find out your thoughts on this matter as to what you preferred more of: war, peace or just a small amount of conflict. I must say the results were a little surprising...[/npc:dpl4od4x]
[action:dpl4od4x]A small box appears over Torque's shoulder on the holo image wall[/action:dpl4od4x]
[img:dpl4od4x]http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk278/spartan2224/Jedi%20vs%20Sith/HNN/HNNopinionPiece1Results_zpsfb3c14ca.jpg[/img:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Torque:dpl4od4x]As you can see 68% of voters preferred all out war, while 28% said they liked a little bit of conflict and a small 4% like peace. These are quite interesting statistics, but with very interesting reasons behind them from some[/npc:dpl4od4x]
[action:dpl4od4x]The view changed to a background with blurred writing as quotes appeared[/action:dpl4od4x]
War keeps things interesting, it keeps the galaxy moving so to speak. Even people not participating can feel the affects of war, it can chance the galaxy[/quote:dpl4od4x]
War, but not at the expense of a good story. It makes things exciting and dangerous around the galaxy, and much more profitable for my kind. It's rare that there is this much interest in war and I have to say that it is refreshing.[/quote:dpl4od4x]
What do I prefer more of? Well, I'll give you one guess...

...

Alright enough of my joking around.

I enjoy having a little bit of conflict here and there on the site. The battles, lightsaber duels, and blaster fire fights are a large part of Star Wars. Always will be. Still, it's good to not have it be all what you focus on. While the Jensaarai are currently participating in a battle on Contruum, we are currently intending on going on a scavenger hunt of sorts for various items of interest in the galaxy soon. I've actually received quite a bit of praise from some members for the uniqueness of the rp ideas as they're centered on exploration of worlds and meeting new people on them, rather than just looking for somebody's skull to smash.[/quote:dpl4od4x]
[action:dpl4od4x]The view changed back to Torque sitting behind his desk[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Torque:dpl4od4x]As you can see there is quite a rather diverse range of opinions on this matter, although a few people still prefer a good war. So what does this mean for the coming Mando Holy War and future wars on JvS? Well aside from the small amount of OOC bickering that is to be expected from such large endeavours, We can expect a lot of good and interesting writing and a warm welcome from a large section of the player/writer base.

This has been Torque's Corner, tune in next month, where we will discuss the long debated matter of Planned vs Unplanned Roleplays. Back to you Stan.[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[narration:dpl4od4x]The camera then fades out to return to the HNN Studio[/narration:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]Thank you for that Torque, I'm sure we can look forward to more interesting polls in the future...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[b:dpl4od4x]Meet The Whills[/color:dpl4od4x][/b:dpl4od4x][/size:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]And now Ladies and Gentlemen, we bring you that most beloved section, Meet The Whills, with the always lovely, Roseline! And this month, the HNN has not one, not two, but Three Whills! So without any further ado, I pass you to Roseline who will take things away...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera view changes to Roseline, sitting in a chair in the Meet the Whills studio[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Thank you Stan. This month we decided to go that extra mile for you the viewers and give you a really good ending to 2012 as well as celebrate the holiday season. Earlier in the month I managed to catch up with Whill Shaman Odin, Whill Shaman Xixo and Whill Shaman Gotrek for separate interviews and tonight we will be airing them all, so let's start with Whill Shaman Odin...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera fades to Roseline and Whill Shaman Odin sitting in the studio[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to sit down with us. As some viewers may remember, you were last on the HNN back in April of 2011. Since then a lot has changed, you're now a Whill Shaman, tell us, what's that like?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Well Rosy, being a Whill Shaman certainly has its benefits. Mostly the ability to make the youngin' Whills fetch me mead. And of course the joy of talkin' bout the old days, and forcing all the other Whills to listen.... however that is more because I'm the Allfather than because I'm a Whill Shaman. But as far as discussions and voting go, all Whills have an equal share.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]So what is the mead like here? still zapping Gotrek for trying to steal your supplies?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

My home boasts the best mead anywhere in the galaxy, or your money back. And we make enough nowadays that Gotrek doesn├óÔé¼Ôäót [i:dpl4od4x]need[/i:dpl4od4x] to steal it. A barrel a day keeps that damn dwarf away![/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]who is your favorite whill that is no longer around? and who is your favorite Whill out of the current lot?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Asking the tough questions huh? There have been so many good Whills that it├óÔé¼Ôäós hard to choose. Certainly there is a soft spot in my old heart for Seraphiel. He could match me drink for drink, was never short of a funny story and worked harder than na honest cop on Nar Shaddaa.

As for the current bunch... Chill is a proficient penguin, Nyx is a cute cat, Zauriel is passionate protector, Persephone is graceful goddess, Gotrek is sociable slayer, Xixo is an astute avian, and Anaxilea is a charismatic chief. Oh. And Sahn. Is a volleyball. I think we played one too many games and some sentience rubbed off on it. Can├óÔé¼Ôäót be sure though. I was pretty wasted at the time. But I digress. Clearly my favourite current Whill would be me :)
[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]So what's your favorite non-Whilling pastime?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Gate crashing. If the party is rocking, Odin comes knocking.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Odin, is it true that your enemies list you as their emergency contact?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Oh absolutely! Who you gonna call? It sure ain├óÔé¼Ôäót Ghost Busters. Ever since they got called in for that Force Ghost fiasco they├óÔé¼Ôäóve avoided Star Wars like the plague. Plus if someone├óÔé¼Ôäós gonna take down my foes, it├óÔé¼Ôäóll be me. That├óÔé¼Ôäós just how I roll.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]What would you change about the universe, if given the chance?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

I'm not sure you want to hear the [i:dpl4od4x]whole[/i:dpl4od4x] list, but here goes for starters...

More war. Since when did peace overtake pillaging as a pastime? It├óÔé¼Ôäós a travesty. And I├óÔé¼Ôäód fix the Maw. Poor place is a shadow of what it should be. And I'd move Tatooine further from its Suns. Damn but that place is hot - haven├óÔé¼Ôäót they heard of winter?[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]which whill do you find yourself agreeing with the most in discussions?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Inky. That dude knows where it├óÔé¼Ôäós at.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Which planet would you choose as a vacation spot?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

Hoth. Cold as a Norse winter and it has game that fights back. Not the nicest place to take a woman though. For that I'd choose Naboo.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]So despite Ana being quiet about it, can you comment on whether you and the Godmother...well you know, spend time together... alone? also is there any truth to the rumor you "pine" for Persephone?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

I did not have sexual relations with that woman.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]If you could only give one piece of advice to newcomers, what would it be?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

It would be to ask for more advice.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]Odin suddenly holds up his hand for silence and cocks his head slightly to one side as if listening to something that no one else can hear. After a moment he nods and stands up, reaching out to shake hands with the reporter.[/action:dpl4od4x]

Duty calls my dear.[/color:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]And with that, the Allfather raises his spear slightly before slamming the butt of it on the floor, causing a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder. And in that blink of time... he is gone - back to whence he came.[/action:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera fades back to Roseline in the studio alone[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]A very interesting man Odin is, But a pleasure to have had him on the show none-the-less. We now move on to my interview with returning Whill Shaman Xixo...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera changes to Roseline and Whill Shaman Xixo in the studio[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Please give a warm welcome back to the venerable Whill Shaman Xixo! It's an honour to have you on the show. So as some of our viewers may be aware you went into retirement for some time. So what's it like coming back?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]Hello and thank you for the welcome! To explain what it's like to return after being away for a while, I'd like you to imagine a student who, after graduating from an academy, returns several years later for additional coursework. You see, most of the faces have changed, a lot of things are different in the universe than I remember, and I am still having to go through the process of re-learning everything I need to know. But, at its core, everything is very much the same as it was from Day 1. The Whills still have the same goal-- to serve the denizens of the galaxy as best we see fit-- and even with new faces, the same welcoming feeling of brother-and-sisterhood was there to greet me when I first went into the Whill Council after so long.

So it has been my very great pleasure to come back.[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well it's always good to have some familiar things upon your return. But speaking of the changes since your last term here, what do you think of them? Do you feel JvS is still moving in a positive direction both for old and new players alike?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]The site has always been moving in a positive direction for the players, and that's one thing that has made the evolution of JvS so great.

If you look back at every event along the way, every change made to JvS has been motivated by a desire to make players' lives easier and to accomplish in a greater way the manifestation of a place where the players can come and create and do so in a comfortable setting. Indeed, for old players this takes the form of the gradual realization of the Universe we all-- I include myself here because I am very much an "old player"-- had the dream of seeing and taking part in, and could picture a glimpse of in our minds, before the Universe became what it is today. And for new players this takes the form of making as seamless as possible their integration to a community, a welcoming place, and introducing to the style of play that this community enjoys so much.

This is still very much the contemporary mindset, too, and for that reason JvS is still growing into who-knows-what, which we will see however many years down the line. And this reason gives me the confidence to look towards the future and say, "I know that it will be a better place then than it is now."[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well on that note, have you seen anything about JvS that, you know, was in it's infancy when you left, that players now really use a lot since your return?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]No.

The only thing that really qualifies as "infancy" at the time of my departure would be the Players' Guild. It's clearly gone through some changes since I left, as did many other facets of the site, but even back then it saw widespread adoption immediately. So its true "infancy" never really happened, or rather took place over such a short time that it matured almost overnight into what we have now.

My memory of that time that sticks out the most is how readily the Councilors threw themselves onto what the Whills asked for in the opening of the Guild, and it is thanks to their efforts and diligence that it survived.[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well I guess in that respect the PGC really has, evolved, a lot since you were last sitting council, which is good as the site really has seen plenty of benefits from it. So what's your most favourite and least favourite thing about JvS since your return? and Why?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]I'll answer that question from both a personal and a leadership perspective.

Since my return, my least favorite part has been the fact that I am not writing, and neither do I feel any strong desire to return to the player aspect of the site at the moment. This is not an unusual occurrence for me, and surely I'll someday in the future feel the drive again and once more pick up the pen. But until that time, it remains my largest personal disappointment.

On the other hand, my personal favorite part of returning has been, and you'll please excuse a bit of self-indulgence here, the satisfaction that I get just from doing stuff around here again.

Administratively, what I dislike the most is how the structure of the site and some of the finer policy details have changed. I don't argue with the changes themselves, the problem comes in where I feel occasionally lost or as if I have to double-check each step. It makes my work a bit less efficient than those who have been in this system longer, and this has led to my disappointment when a swifter Whill finishes something I was trying to get to.

What I do like the most is the fact that everything seems far more neat and clean, and that working with a new system makes it more interesting! So it's certainly a different and fun experience working with this stuff.[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]I would imagine it would be a little frustrating when things change on you. But I am sure you will pick things up soon enough. So what's your impression of the new faces around the Whill Council? must be strange seeing a volleyball sit council nowadays...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[list:dpl4od4x][list:dpl4od4x][b:dpl4od4x]=Whill Shaman Xixo=[/b:dpl4od4x][/color:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x][/list:u:dpl4od4x]
[list:dpl4od4x]The weird part is how the volleyball is more productive than I am, much of the time...

It isn't what I would call 'strange', honestly. The new faces are simply a natural progression of the way things go around here, it's really more like I got the privilege of being part of the old and the new generations.

Whills always take on a distinctive face, but that's just something you get used to. Back when I first became a Whill, my "twin" Whill who joined the Council at the same time I did was a bit of fire that gained sentience.[/list:u:dpl4od4x]

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Yeah it's always the things we least expect that do better than us. Well it's been a real pleasure having you on the show Xixo and it'll be good having you back.[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera fades back to Roseline alone in the studio[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]What a gentleman Xixo was, It really will be a pleasure having him back on the Whill team. And now, I give you my long awaited interview with Whill Shaman Gotrek![/npc:dpl4od4x]

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera changes to Roseline and Whill Shaman Gotrek sitting in the studio[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Ladies and Gentlemen please put your hands together for Whill Shaman Gotrek! It is a great pleasure to have you back on the show after so long and so much build up. So what have you been up to since your last appearance on the show back in 2011 with Felix?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Roseline, let me tell you, it has been hell. As you may have noticed from my new title, I've been promoted since our last interview, and with fancy titles comes great responsibility. I basically run the whill council myself these days. Oh sure, Ana helps out too, but the brunt of the work falls of these capable shoulders. I keeper the cooler stocked with coopers, I apply Zauriel's makeup, I sweep up around the council, and so on and so forth. And this is on top of me doing all the stunt work for the dwarves in Peter Jackson's new flick. What did they call that, the hoobit? Worst of all, the manling has run off, so now I don't have any backup. [action:dpl4od4x]Shakes head.[/action:dpl4od4x] You know it's hard out here for a dwarf.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well yes congratulations on the promotion. But at least you are keeping yourself busy and making a little extra cash on the side. But yes it does seem like it'd be hard to be a dwarf given most of the galaxy would be taller than you... On the matter of Felix disappearing, have you ever thought about finding a replacement? I mean the pickings do seem a little thin for you...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
[action:dpl4od4x]Scoff[/action:dpl4od4x] Find a replacement?! Felix is irreplaceable. He was by far the best side kick I have ever had. Granted, he was the only side kick I have ever had, but that only further drives home the point. I mean I understand why he left. For someone so short I can sure cast a big shadow, and for some folk that's hard to live in. I tried to share the limelight with him, but what can I say, the people know what they like. There is a reason we were called Gotrek and Felix and not Felix and Gotrek, if you know what I am saying. Back on point, I've looked at maybe adopting a one start whill as a replacement, but it is slim pickings these days. In the meantime I figure I'll just hang out with Odin and compare beard sizes. [action:dpl4od4x]Wink.[/action:dpl4od4x] Mine's bigger.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Yes well I am sure many a people will always remember your dynamic duo. Speaking of the Allfather, he was just on the show talking about keeping you away with a barrel of mead these days, do you think he does it out of beard envy? I mean you do have a fine chin of hair.[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Beard envy? Well I never thought about it like that. You know what? Yeah, that's why he said it. He's jealous of my illustrious chin carpet. That and he knows he can't hold his drink as well as this ol'whill. It's important to remember that Odin is, well, pretty old. I'm still in the prime of my life. Only 204, that's middle aged by dwarf standards. Odin's at least a thousand, if not older. And every time there is work to be done he claims to be in his 'Odin Sleep', like that's an excuse to skip out on doing your chores. It's a good thing we didn't let his son, Whill Thor, onto the council, otherwise he'd never do nothing.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]well I guess when you are his age, you need all the rest you can get... speaking of rest, if you do get any, where do you like to take your vacations?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
The Sithies lounge for certain. The judges have a backstage room with a couch and a beer fridge, basically everything I need to get me through the holidays. Zauriel and I already built a nest under the sofa, so if I get any time off this Christmas I will probably hibernate there.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]It's funny you should mention Christmas, with the holiday season upon us, have you ever been mistaken for one of Santa's helpers? Have you ever actually been mistaken for the big jolly man himself?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Santa's helper? Is that a short joke!? [action:dpl4od4x]Waves his fist aggressively.[/action:dpl4od4x] I'll tell you this. If anybody did mistake me for one of them gobbie looking knife eared spriggans, they'd soon find my axe planted in their gut, along with my boot in their hieney. I have on occasion been mistaken for ol'St Nick though, on account that I'm jolly, have a big beard, and am usually covered in red. Granted that's gobbie blood and not felt, but hey, I can see where they might get confused.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x][action:dpl4od4x]squeaks in fear[/action:dpl4od4x] I'd never make a short joke....So people's misgivings aside, I gotta ask, what is your favorite thing about JvS? and why?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
[action:dpl4od4x]Scratches beard[/action:dpl4od4x] Hmmm, probably the weirdos. I know this is the internet so one should come to expect that sort of thing, but we seem to have a pleasant collection of hooligans around the site, most of which are well meaning, if a bit strange. Keeps me out of chat mostly, mind ya, but they are fun enough to watch as they make their mischief.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well everyone has a strange little quirk about them... So here's another interesting question for you. Who is your Favourite Past Whill? and who of the current lot is your favourite? Asides from yourself of course...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Ha, I was going to say me. Alright, favourite past whill. That's got to be Sera. If it wasn't for his faith in me then I never would have ended up going down the whill road at all. He definitely played the role of a mentor to me. I always felt comfortable when he was leading the show. Sound judgement, cared about the players, basically the best qualities of all the whills wrapped up into one odd guy. To this day I still wear my WWSD bracelet. As for my favourite current whill, well, I don't want to offend any of my colleagues but it is probably Ana. But not for the reason you think. See, she usually speaks in images, rather than text. I've only get one eye, so big and bright images are a lot easier to see than tiny gobbie scrawl. Plus if I don't want to listen to her, I just disable my browser's ability to read jpegs and gifs. Silence is golden as they say.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Yeah Ana seems to be the most loved Whill. But I gotta know, how did you lose your eye? I trusts in some heroic quest befitting your fame...[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Uh, yeah, sure. Look, off the record, it was a mustard packet. Those things are dangerous. Squirted right in my eye and blinded me. Not being one to waste a fine mustard, I plucked my eye out, scooped out the yellow, and finished making my sandwich. Of course the way Felix tells it, I lost it while saving a village from a horde of Chaos worshipers. So let's go with that story.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Hmm yes I think Felix's story is way better for you... So what do you think of the HNN? have you enjoyed the recent incarnation of it?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
Absolutely. You guys run a tight ship. Fewer ewoks it seems these days, which is probably a good thing. They are basically gobbies with fur.

[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]well it's been a real pleasure having you on the show. Before you go, what are your hopes for the new year for JvS?

And finally What is your take on this 'End of the World' stuff, do you think anything will comem of it, and if so, how have you prepared yourselves, apart from grabbing your choobies and getting off the possibly doomed planet?[/npc:dpl4od4x]

=Gotrek=
In the new year I'd like to have less of a direct hand in crashing the site or causing serious glitches. The last couple of things that went haywonkey were a result of my tampering around behind the scenes. What can I say? Fighting internet gobbies is a messy business. Well intentioned though I may be, my aim is sometimes a little off. And if the world is ending, I say let it come. I'm a troll slayer. Seeking our doom is what we do. Plus finally there will be a screw up that wasn't my fault.

[action:dpl4od4x]The camera returns to Roseline in the studio alone[/action:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Roseline:dpl4od4x]Well that has been the final Meet the Whills for 2012. The new year looks to promise many new and exciting things, with a few Meet the Retired High Councillors spots. Until next year, take care and be safe! Back to you Stan[/npc:dpl4od4x]

[narration:dpl4od4x]The camera changes back to Stan in the studio behind the news desk[/narration:dpl4od4x]
[npc name=Stan:dpl4od4x]Well that is all we have time for in this edition of the HNN for December 2012. We would like to thank our entire reporting team who have supported us throughout 2012; our sponsors; the Whills, whom have both made an appearance on the show and been working behind the scenes with us; and finally you, the viewers, for whom we put these reports together for each month. Happy New Year and see you next month for another edition of the HNN[/npc:dpl4od4x]
