Freedom Tower

Hiring out one of the building's meeting halls Melanie meets with the three Senior Colonels: Silvia Baril, Hugo Sanchez, and Tobias Volker, and the 24 Captains under their Command. Together those 27 officers and Melanie herself make up the senior command staff for the Chandril Ravens First Corps. The Mountain Divisions have yet to been sorted out, but once they are another 21 officers will be joining them. They are currently in the room, a smattering of First and Second Lieutenants, along with a Sergeant or two.

Melanie has an aide prepare a presentation for the officers, as well as detailed datapads full of their responsibilities, their Table of Organization, their Logistics and Equipment Rosters, and special new encryption codes. The meeting is scheduled to begin soon enough and Melanie takes the time to make last minute revisions to her notes and speech, as well as ask some officers some last minute questions.

All three officers are securely in the "Raven" Camp and not the General's camp. As are the majority of the officers and soldiers. Which at first glance the First Corps happened to have the Original Battalion and two of the Veteran Battalions, many of those soldiers were transferred out to the other Corp, or transferred to command different units.

Silvia was a bit disappointed to not be chosen to make the trip to Chandrilla. A native of Alderaan she had joined because the Ravens had offered her a chance to command a medical based PSC. She has a degree from the University of Alderaan, as well as a MD, so being based at the Chandril Raven's new medical facility would have been excellent. Instead the "technical post" would be Surgeon General of Borelias, as Melanie has asked her to run the medical side of the First Corps.

Hugo rather enjoys Borelias. While a native of Chandrilla, and still boasting several family members on the planet, Hugo joined the Spec Force Rangers to get AWAY from Chandrilla, to see the galaxy and visit new places. Borelias is nice to Hugo: a lush tropical rainforest, not to many civilians, and an easy job where he can do what he wants when he wants while commanding the best soldiers he knows. A vacation back to Chandrilla once in a while, what's not to like.

Tobias is in it for the money: he could care less where he is posted or how long he's there. A career soldier the Ravens offered him a chance to be paid for his talents, and training one of the best groups of soldiers as a premiere defensive unit is just another aspect of the job. He is excited to see the new Mountain Divisions and is one of the people signed up to test fly the new Series V E-Wings: privileges of command he see's it.

Melanie finally sits at the head of the room, and prepares to get the meeting started.

*Carson Binder took a seat in his newly redesigned office. With the joining of the new republic the Borleias government had decided to redo the capital building along with all the offices. As the newly appointed senator Carson had been assigned to a larger office and he felt a little out of place. He had been nothing more than an aide six months ago and suddenly he was assigned to represent Borleias in the galactic government. It was a bit overwhelming but he was confident he would be successful. Lost in his thoughts he glanced at his terminal's screen and suddenly realized that he was going to be late. Grabbing his datapad and shutting down the terminal he rushed out of his office and to the garage where a speeder was waiting to take him to the spaceport and then on to Coruscant where he would take his place among the other senators.*
