Agamar was an agriworld in the Mirgoshir system of the Lahara sector. The world, which was governed by the Agamarian Council, was a member of the Galactic Republic before joining the Confederacy of Independent Systems just prior to the Clone Wars. The site of fighting between Republic and Separatist forces, it was once more in Republic hands by the end of the Clone Wars, and subsequently became part of the Galactic Empire. Resistance to Imperial rule led to the destruction of the small town of Tondatha as punishment, after which the Agamar Resistance joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Agamar, however, remained in Imperial hands for several more years, before eventually joining the New Republic. During the early stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Agamar took in refugees from worlds hit by the Yuuzhan Vong, but eventually fell to the invaders.

As something of a backwater planet, Agamar was not a well-known world. Among those who had heard of the planet, Agamarians were stereotyped as dumb hicks, though many natives of the world played important roles in both the Rebel Alliance and New Republic, most notably the New Republic general and Jedi Keyan Farlander.

-To Join the story here:

-Please post in open orbit to request clearence and co-ordinates to land (of course stealth approaches are not required to do this) you will then be directed either to the Techno Union Military Centre, or to the spaceport in Calna Muun depending on your reasons for visiting.

-New players are welcome to post on the surface if they wish to begin there story as a citizen/prisoner/traveller etc on Agamar.


-What to expect as a new arrival:

-You will recieve an IC welcome
-You will also recieve an OOC welcome PM detailing recent events and any current storylines
-Some of the closed RP arcs on Agamar do not always conform entirly to the natural laws (e.g fleet limits/banned powers). Please note that these story arcs have no bearing on the Universe outside of the closed RP arc. such RP's. You will recieve details of anysuch RP's in your welcome PM.
-New players welcomed/encouraged, time will be given to get you started in the universe
-New players will recieve answers to OOC questions via PM
-Long term/Short term RPer's welcome
-There is to be no OOC whatsoever on the threads, on the first instance of this you will be sent a friendly warning via PM. If you persist you will be asked to leave Agamar.


A brief history:

Agamar has recently peacefully changed hands from Lord Reign of the VSE to Seleck Tanes of the TU. Anyone is welcome on Agamar and NPC's will always be available to RP with and create storylines etc. Over time Archduke Tanes developed Agamar both culturally and econimically. As a result Calna Muun now contains a massive Military Center to oversee the proper running and governing of the people. Cygnus Spaceworks, along with most of the member companies of the Techno Union have recently re-located to Agamar under the watchful eye of CEO Tanes and an orbital station has been constructed for the sales and fabrication of their products.

Important Areas:

-Majestic Station

This massive station in a geostationary orbit over Calna Muun is the hub of all of the business activites of the Techno Union/Confederacy of Independant Companies, if business is what you're looking for Majestic Station is the place to visit.

-Calna Muun

Calna Muun is the capital city of Agamar and the secondary RP location on Agamar. It is filled with beautiful white-stone buildings, peaceful parks and all manner of other places such as the University of Agamar or the ancient Council Centre for your character to relax and soak up the culture of Agamar. Be sure not to stay out after curfew without a pass however as the regular patrols of B2 Super Battle Droids are unlikly to distinguish between a citizen up to no good or a wandering adventurer (curfew passes are issued at the Techno Union Military Centre once a candidate has undergone background and personality checks as well as a short interview).

-Tondatha

This quiet little suburb of Calna Muun is the home of the vast majority of illegal activity (which has been allowed by the Archduke to flourish due to the tax revenue it produces) on this beautiful little world. The curfew and regular patrols that are hallmarks of Calna Muun and most other cities on Agamar are non existant here and as a result the once quaint little streets where the great Jedi Keyan Farlander spent his early days are now packed with bars, revellers and criminals. Be sure to keep a close eye on your posessions and watch your back when visiting Tondatha

-The Techno Union Military Centre

The TU Military Centre is the main RP location on Agamar. Built to celebrate the handover of power from Lord Reign this massive spire that dominates the skyline of Calna Muun holds many functions. It is here that all of the important decisions are made regarding the future of Agamar. It also serves as the main training facility for the troops of the Sovereign Guard, soldiers drafted from the populace to serve in the First Army of the Techno Union alongside their mighty Battle Droids. There are also extensive facilities for the training of your character with a wide variety rooms of varying sizes containing all manner of weapons and training droids to cater for all of your training needs. Should you be in need of medical treatment the Military Centre also contains a first class medical facility.

Entry to the TU Military Centre is by invitation or request only, this will be given in most cases (the exception being characters with obvious hostile intent, of course). If you RP making your way past the security measures and patrols then that is also a legitimate way to gain entry! You will most likely be directed here if you wish to speak with Archduke Tanes or one of his advisors, or if you wish to be issued with a curfew pass.


-Open Terrain

The great Binka forests are an ideal place for you to enjoy a leasurly stroll through an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Binka trees themselves are also ideal for use in construction of lightsaber hilts as they are easily carved to fit the wielders hand and are highly attractive when stained. They also make beautiful furniture and vendors of such items can be easily found in their dozens in both Calna Muun and Tondatha
