clarification: The 3 cm area is meant to be within 3cm of each other. In other words, the barrels are tilted inward.

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

You're patenting basically a big turbolaser? Doesn't seem unique enough for a patent to me... but oh well.

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

Yes, its a big turbo that can shoot nearly 2x as far as most turbolasers with incredible accuracy...The pinpoint tech is what makes this unique.

Er, void that. Pay no attention to that.

How accurate is "incredible accuracy"?

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

Again the beams themselves are fire-linked to be within 3 cm of eachother..In the effective range (.2 to 2 Lightminutes) it has the ability to strike within .5 to 3 meters of the target area (accuracy getting less and less as the distance increases) Provided that the target vessel doesn't make some kind of abrupt movement.

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

Here is an idea of how the turrets are set up.

Quad barreled but not like the Lucrehulk-Class ones

Not like this:
___
0 0
0 0

But like this:

______
00 00

It just occurred to me that you can do image links....*facepalm*

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

Looks awesome, no problems. The only eeeeency teeeency thing I have is that it still seems to me a heavier version of a heavy turbolaser, and really not unique enough to patent....

But anyway good luck.

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

Well Aye... the layout and orientation of the barrels along with the range, power, and accuracy are what makes this patent unique.

Re: MM-40 Superheavy Turbolaser

I don't know. I'm waiting for someone to slap a "approved" sign on my mass driver, since I realized it's been a weeks since I had three votes.
We're going a wee bit slow.
Anyway,
Snoggle.
