IC disputes Settled OOC

So that you might have as much to work with as possible, and so I could fit in as much as possible so I could get used to writing about the Bith in writing about one Bith - so as much for me as anyone - my initial is quite lengthy, but that is no way indicative of how I intend to write from here on out.

So what's next?

I don't know. That didn't really turn into anything, but it was fun! I can try to find others to write with if you want, or we can go again, this time with more conflict. If you can't tell I am of the mindset that stories should not, most of the time (sometimes a desired outcome is a good thing for character AND writer development), be planned. I am in the free writing, even the "club" (beyond "blue light," I want my character/characters to be as fully alive, as genuine, beautiful, connected to others, and kind as possible before they die (if they die). Roll with the punches no matter WHAT they are. But, beyond that, I want every post to bear the full pregnancy of my ever-improving writing skills. I aim for profundity, but generally land shy of that. Still I strive, I struggle, I try.

Anyway, failure doesn't change anything. It's not about outcome but story and spontaneity, not about the end but the journey, about life on the page, even life beyond what we mean to write (characters and stories take on a life of their own; they are more than what is written on the page, like certain music). One day and night has passed. We can have the same two character meet the very next day and start the difficulties, or you can bring in someone else, or you can, since it's your planet, have something very large happen, and Bektashi does all he can, even outing himself as Jedi, to save people.

What do you think should be next, Night? Stories are slow. If you want an idea, maybe she liked Bek'tashi (just for his character, not romantically - we're not going there, you and I - lol), and comes back to hear his music again and again. Maybe she feels something stirring in her shriveled heart and her rage lessens (music soothes the savage in all of us); maybe she is suspicious of him. Maybe none of that happens, but they get in a fight and accidentally reveal themselves to each other. There is really no limit to "what now." Let's use our imagination.

Next day sounds good.

I'll write a quick blarg about the bombing and other stuff and end into the next day.

Gotta go get my little one from school, maybe in 2-3 hrs I'll have something up.

Or maybe she is suspicious of him regarding the resistance you keep mentioning (she could even ask him directly if he's loyal to the NOE). But a bombing sounds like a good plot device, too. Whatever you want to do with your character(s).

Can some give me a run on what has taken place since my departure, I accept the teams claim of the planet with no repercussions, I will investigate thou IC, definitely will be coming to the Temple.

The IC story: Sobrius has recently managed to free himself from the confines of the Netherworld and shed his past, disgraceful life in pursuit of forging a new path with the dark side. Seeking a new base of operations, he came upon Clak'dor VII, seeing that it was already equipped with a Sith Temple. Claiming leadership of the Temple, he then alerted the government of his presence before returning to convert the Temple to his needs and vision. He is later greeted by Darth Decretious, who expresses his desire to take control of the government; Sobrius allows him this, so long as the Temple continues to receive proper funding. And now, Vandook has arrived, bringing with him the gift of Rakghoul...

The OOC story: I decided to revamp an old character, wanted a base of operations, found Clak'dor and its Temple, saw it was abandoned, decided it'd fit perfectly, then me and the writers of Decretious and Vandook (possibly others) were working on a few ideas OOC on stuff we could do with our Sith. Not much else than that.

Would you, Darth Decretious and Vandook Lithage consider joining a faction?

That would depend highly on how it's proposed IC. Sobrius has little interest in empires, and is wary of allying with other Sith due to past experiences. I can't speak for my peers though.

I personally have been part of a number of factions in the past, and had some bad experiences - some good as well. But I would like to run on my own for a little while longer, develop this character a bit more before I jump into anything else again.
It's not a "no" so much as a "not yet."

Bacca, don't take me the wrong way, but I'm simply going to decline. I've had my time where I've been a part of factions, both big and small. I've even ran one or two in my day and what I've learned from it, is that my Sith, this character that I've built up for several years now, doesn't play nicely with others and as such I tend to avoid groups. So just know, it's nothing personal, just that being a part of any faction doesn't exactly fit Vandook's Character.
