*The office, if that was what it could truly be called, was as lavish as it was expansive. Taking up the entire top floor, the office was composed of a series of rooms, and acted as it's own self sufficient sector, complete with a reception, kitchen, board room, and the executive suite.
Barred off from the rest of the complex by a pair of doors which were crafted from varnished wroshyr wood, reinforced with duranium complete with a series of both manual and electronic locks- the reception was the first room that would be entered, and served as the only entrance and exit to the office. The dark wood paneled walls with rich electrum trimmings and mysterious yet aesthetically pleasing carvings, coupled with a beige marble floor gave an air of elegance. A massive horse-shoe shaped marble desk dominated the center of the room, manned by two hand maidens and an administrative droid. On the wall behind the desk, an electrum trimmed transparisteel plane with the Halocroft Industries logo engraved in it hovered over an artificial waterfall hovered through unknown means. There was a metal door at either side of the desk, leading to twin hallways, divided by the executive conference room which was located directly behind the rear wall of the lobby.
Past the conference room and basic facilities -including a kitchen and lounge, as well as a few smaller offices- the hallways converged into a greater hallway leading up a flight of stairs into the Executive suite, which was separated from the rest of the penthouse by a set of ornate brass doors.
The suite was the largest room in the penthouse, spanning the entire width of the top floor. While the halls and other rooms had marble floors, the floors of the executive office were covered in a soft beige carpet. Where a backwall should have been, there was a massive reinforced transparisteel wall, revealing the view of Byss' mountain range to the west, and the Imperial Sector's sky line to the the east. Much like the lobby, a massive desk dominated all other furniture in the room, though unlike the reception, this desk was wrought from the trunk of a Wroshyr tree. Polished to a fine finish, the desk looked more like a massive work of art, rather than a piece of furniture. Behind the desk was a massive, tall backed arm chair where the executive sat; there were two less impressive chairs at the front of the desk for guests to sit.
The walls were lined with art work and artifacts. The entire south-east corner of the room acted as a library, complete with parchment documents and digital documents, a reading desk and an arm chair. The southwest corner acted as a small, yet luxurious communications suite, with a holoprojector and an array of computers that linked into the tower's security and maintenance systems.
This office was as much a display of power as it was a seat of power.*
