Message from the Speaker
Senators of the New Republic,
It is with great sadness that I must report to you, the abdication of Supreme Chancellor Vassili Stukov.
Senator Stukov has resigned the Office of Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic, and withdrawn completely from public life.
Mr. Stukov led the New Republic, and held the New Republic together for many many years, and through difficult times. His legacy will live on, so long as this republic lives on.
As per Amendment V to the Constitution, I Adam Slane, Senator of Mon Calamari, and Speaker of the Galactic Senate of the New Republic, following the line of secession am now Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic.
