I will post us all moving into the upper amosphere and down onto the surface. After that you will make your post about arriving to the city.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Sangi: do we have a transportation system here yet, i have a Military one, but is there a public one, the man on the surface that dug himself up is asking, he was part of an old RP here before we arrived and he wants off the surface, he wants to know if he should steal, fix or ask for a ship to leave in. his Name is Neg'ij.

I Think he would be a good addition to starting a writing team here. same with J'nah arytiss who Havok is gonna help with some fundimentals of RP'n.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

For now I was looking for a means of leaving the surface and looking up some people I knew from JvS 1.0 days but who knows....I could be back for any myriad of reasons. After all, who knows what could be under the surface that I dragged my sorry choobies out of to get back to the surface, right? ;)

For now I just wanted off the planet but didn't want to step on any toes in the process, so thought I'd ask what was around and easy for me to slip onto unnoticed or "borrow".

Maybe you could steal J'nah arytiss's rental he arrived in, if not, i give you permission to steal a TIE fighter if you can write a good rp to go with it.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

no. never heard of the movie.

btw:
it will take a while for skyvers to get to the bar. and it will be all over by the time he gets there.
roughly one post is 6 seconds, so if it took you 5 minutes, yeah, it will be over.

LOL its out of your hands buddy. and all NOE are currently at the garrison, oh my! lol.
thats why i asked you if you were sure you wanted to pull everyone back...

just showing axyer the ropes.
we'll probably fight using random NPC's in a few more incidents. so we can cover other modes of fighting. right now, its spontanious freeforall.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

I hate having to say this, especially to you, but I am calling this a Closed Rp, for the purpose of training.

If you want to be in on the action i would appreciate it if you would ask, or tell me what you plan on doing before hand.

If you want to take over, I'll just spontaniously combust serial killer and then you can take over talking to ryxar about Rping fights. not a big deal.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

you start creating NPCs and shooting up the place, I just figured you want that little "un-expected" part from a friend, who is more than happy to help bring better rp out everyone else, just roll with it Stu, please?

On another note and For the record: With Sangi MIA, this planet reverts back to my protection.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Jnah:
ok,
so now we talk about what you do when you are faced with a death situation:

Above all it is important to realize that writing is a cooperative effort. there is no "winning". If i were to kill your character, just to be mean, that is a situation where we both lose. Roll playing is not about killing other peoples characters, and its not about keeping your character alive. its about telling a story. over all our Rp hasn't had alot of story, becuase its been focusing on Rp mechanics. I've been trying to help you understand why you need to write more, you need to write better, and you need to describe describe describe.
hopefully this battle has shown this. I've been saying this all along that how have been writting(or what you haven't been writing) will result in your character's death.

now The point of this was not to kill your character.
The point was not to show why trained force users kick choobies(though i think it does show this.)

So when you are confronted with death, first thing you do is PM THE OTHER PLAYER and POLITELY ask them to allow your character to live.
then you talk about alternatives to death so that it is evident that you lost, but it makes sense that you got away, or your injuries were bad, but not that bad, or the other player thinks he killed you and leaves you for dead and you somehow are found and healed.
if you are reasonable and polite, just about anyone will be sympathetic and you'll be able to work something out. you both have to agree.(or rather, they have to agree)

If you are whiny or a jerk about it, odds are the other person will not care, and kill you just to teach you a lesson for being a jerk: so never be a jerk if you are about to be killed.

In this case, because my character is actually a sith: your fate was sealed because you put your faith in an untrained force technique, when you were up against a trained jedi master. the jedi didn't want to be found, and the sith was just looking for a fight and wanted to be found, and so you found the sith.
yes, i called him a jedi, because your untrained force sense was fooled into beleiveing this was the person you were hunting.
sorry for the deception.
this illustrates the point, that there is no substitute for force training.

so back to thinking of a reason to let your character live:
I could just as easily say that the "jedi" actually is a jedi, but not the jedi you are looking for.
it would be just like him to disarm you and then heal you, as soon as you call the shot and fall to the ground bleeding and gasping for air. a wound of this sort is usually fatal, and unless the jedi heals you, you will die from it.

But if the jedi heals you, will you owe him a life-debt?
will you still hunt him?
will you realize how foolish your hunt was?

I have offered several suggestions, now its your turn:
come up with ways you can be wounded and still live. i'll be glad to hear your suggestions.
