*The Machine Lord, Commodore Starkiller's photo-receptors began to dim and shut off completely as his viral programming was transferred from one mechanical frame to the next. A new life flowed into the new Starkiller Unit, one of malevolent rage and an all consuming desire to see the Eye's work done. The mind behind the viral programming was mad, insane and psychotic some had said. But the Commodore didn't see it this way, instead he thought of it as pure intelligent decision making. Serving the Almighty Eye and purifying its enemies was the only logical choice of work left in the galaxy, and he was a machine after all. Was not logic to be a part of his programming? Though perhaps somewhere along the line something had gone wrong when the original codes were written, something that caused the Commodore to be as he was. His hatred for organic life for one instance, where had that come from? The higher lords of the NOE, and even the Almighty Eye's great manifestation, the Lord of War, was a being of organic nature. So why did the Mechanical Monstrosity have a all consuming hatred for beings of the flesh? It had to be an error in his programming, something that was either written incorrectly or that had occurred during a power surge or transfer. That made the greatest deal of sense.
Not that such feelings towards organic beings were felt all the time. For instance, all his brothers and sisters of the Eye were exempt from this hatred he felt. The Machine Lord was in awe of their power, and was unable to raise an arm against any one of them unless ordered to by the Eye's holy manifestation, Lord Bacca. He physically couldn't do it, even if a desire had been there, for his loyalty programming prevented him from thinking such thoughts or performing such tasks. In fact, had he ever been ordered to destroy a brother or sister of the Eye, there was a good chance his circuitry would overload and he was shut down. That was how strong the loyalty circuitry was, it was a part of his core programming. Which was good for the NOE, as it meant that they had a servant who would never betray them, nor think disloyal thoughts, nor question their orders. Had Commodore Starkiller been ordered to destroy himself, he would do so without hesitation. The Almighty Eye's work would go on uncompleted, but his programming trusted that his brothers and sisters of the Eye were wise in their decisions. It was perhaps a dangerous option to have should one of the NOE ever choose to go rogue. But then, how would his programming respond to such betrayal?
Would the Machine Lord see the betrayal as a crime against the Eye? Would he choose to eradicate the rogue as a heretic? Such things were not to be put to the test, there was danger in possessing thoughts as such. No, the Machine Lord had to trust that his brothers and sisters were just as loyal as he, and trust in the decisions they made. While the transfer was ongoing, the Commodore made sure to delete the last few thoughts he had just considered. Such doubt was an unnecessary clutter to the Commodore's programming. With the internal debate deleted, the Machine Lord confidently transferred the last of his programming into the new Starkiller Unit. The new war droid, more of a bipedal tank really, came to life as two red photo-receptors burned brightly in the dim room, casting a crimson shade that encompassed everything in the laboratory. The massive war machine, towering 3.2 meters in height let out a mechanical screech that would have shattered the ear drums of an organic sentient in little time. The metal cranium of the Commodore declined downwards, looking at the metal restraints that held the body in an upright position. The sound of hydraulics could be heard as the Machine Lord's arms and legs broke free of the restraints, and he stepped onto the cold laboratory floor.
The Mechanical Monstrosity took several moments to run a scan on his new body, checking the weapons systems, power supply, motor functions, and finally the remaining calculations and computations that were natural in a droids running. When all came across as clear and fully operational, the Commodore turned his head towards K4 and let out a course metallic chuckle. This was unusual for the Commodore as he usually showed little pleasant emotions. Most were saved for hate and anger, as to better become a vassal of destruction for the NOE to use. The cybernetic laughter filled the room, and disturbed those who would walk by outside. The Machine Lord, Commodore Starkiller was now complete. A thousand sorrows and woes upon the enemies of the Almighty Eye, for not they would come to know the true unmerciful nature of the Eye. They would be subject to excruciating pain, unending suffering, and unparalleled torment until the day they died. A thousand sacrifices would be made today, in tribute to the Eye for this blessing. Yes, the halls of the Temple of the Eye on Taivas would run red and become gore slicked with the life fluids of the slaves held there. For such was Commodore Starkiller's devotion to the Eye, he was its servant for ever more.*
*Mechanical laughter* Yes, I am complete! Pray that the Eye is merciful on those who prove themselves the enemy of the NOE, for I shall not be so kind. A new wave of suffering and death shall encompass this galaxy in the Almighty Eye's name. But first, a test is required. Droid, where might I find a nearby target suitable enough for destruction? Are there still tribes of Gammorreans in the jungles of Pzob? A village would give me an ample body supply to test this new unit.
