Adi vs Atia

*The Nature of the arena our combatants find themselves in is one of strict usefullness. A flat square floor, 50 feet by 50 feet, open on all 4 sides. 15 feet back from the tournament platform is a 20 foot wall, and behind that wall are the arena seats. They are filled with spectators screaming and cheering, booing and carrying on*

Re: Adi vs Atia

*Round two....

After our Jedi Hero defeated Seros Darklighter, and was patched up miraculously to begin -this- round, Adi meditated on what was going on out in the universe. The Mandalorians were now attacking Yavin IV, and he was supposed to be defending the hangar there. In fact, they were on their way down through the atmosphere of the forest moon as we speak...

There was, however, always time for a tournament....

Dressed in a black T-shirt that said 'Trust me, A Jedi I am' with a picture of Master Yoda in the backdrop, black cargo pants, and white Air Force one sneakers, along with his phrik gloves and bracers, Matango changed nothing from the first round....including the single saber fastened on his hip with the hook-n-loop fastener. Even the arena was the same, albeit a little more beat up from the last round's more...adventurous fighters...doing damage to the hard, duracrete floor. It was merely cosmetic damage, truthfully, but the damage done showed the brutality from the previous round. Why the Jedi signed up for these things, he would never know.

Alas, here he was....about to fight someone else. Whoever it was, though, they were going to be upset....because Adi had no intentions of losing this one either. Before the Seros fight, the Arkanian had boldly predicted that NO one would stop him from winning the entire tournament....and he meant it. He was the best he had ever been, the strongest as well. His form and technique was crisp, and well-practiced.

He was ready. And his opponent-to-be would soon find that a ready Adieumus was not someone to trifle with.*

Re: Adi vs Atia

*Adi woudlnt know what he was fighting against, at least not now, and if Atia was doing everything right and Adi was doing everything wrong, he would never know. Why?

When her door opened, only yellow smoke would come out of the door. While waiting for the door to open, she had allready engaged one of the two smoke granades she brought, throwing it on the floore before the fight allready started.
That was cheating.

Cheating is just a smart way to winning.

As the doors opened, she pulled the pin out of the second smoke granade, and it started to spew thick yellow smoke. That was so she started her charge. Runnng towards adi at a jog, holding the granade about chest level in front of her, so the spewed smoke covered her entire torso and head, even down to the knees sometimes.

She was in the same cloth garb she wore to the last round, and combat in general. Bandage wide stripes of dark purple velvet cloth wrapping round and round her limbs, torso, lekkus and even head. Only the fingers and the goggles were visible. Again, she used the thermal goggles, showing the world in many shades of blue, and one red humanoid shade in darker orange with blue gear on him, like a lightsaber. No other weapons... Intresting.

Atia herself had enough of them. Right hip, E-11, left hip Sabergun and a thin bladed cortosis-Durasteel alloy dagger. All in holsters. The Belt itself was a stealth and sound dampner belt. There was change though. There were two thin walled glass vials on the belt, Batmanstile. Clorophorm. The quickly vaporising kind, high density. Could send a bantha to sleep. The vial could break very easily, like being thrown at any surface harder then a newly made pillow.
She added a rebreither mask to her mouth and nose too, so she wouldnt fall to her own trickery. It was nicely concieled benieth the cloth stripes wrapping around her head.
Finally, insulated combat boots, Slaves collar with a sound changing device.

Jogging towards Adi, she took one of the vials into her left hand, ready to throw. She also got ready to use either Force Absorb, or Force Deflect... she wasnt sure about this "Adi" figure, so she was ready for mostly anything.

That is how a thick yellow cloud quickly advanced on Adi.*

Re: Adi vs Atia

*This was the ....and Adi was -not- going to take chances. His opponent wasn't out there on the floor...and there was only one other door. A sort-of 'un-jedilike' plan began to develop. One that Adi was surprised -no- one had thought of before....

Why not just take the opponent out before they even had a chance to come -out-????*

*He waited....feeling Ashla's power wash over him for the few seconds that he was in the arena ahead of his unknown foe. His hand dropped to his sides, clenching them into fists. His feet moved outward, getting a good footing on the smooth duracrete. His hands moved up in front of him, snapping sharply open, and they flew together, aimed directly at the door in front of him. An icy cold stare bore a hole into the door that was beginning to creak open.*

*What the -hell-?? Was Matango fighting a walking fart cloud? Seriously? Well, even bad gas has a cure....*

*First pulling back his right arm, and snapping it forward, Adi directed a hard, focused force push-like blow at the top right 'section' in the doorway....mirrored a half-second later by the left...at the top left. With the knowledge of projected fighting, Matango had been able to use a alter the wide angle push into a more solid 'blow'...centered as if Adi was throwing a palm strike. These attacks repeated once more...first right, then left, at the bottom right and left sections respectively. And they were fairly hard shots meant to really slam into whatever created the gas cloud.

Whatever it was, it needed to cut down on the space Mexican food...seriously....*

*He could almost 'feel' someone or some -thing- inside the cloud, but Matango was hoping that whatever it was was hit by any of the four hard projected TK blows to the doorway. Best case scenario, he hit with all four...worst case, none hit, and now Adi was out in the open against a pissed-off...whateverthekriffitwas. These half force push, half projected fighting blows were not meant to be precision strikes. Instead, they were meant to cover the four 'sections' of the doorway in a powerful TK blow, like a triphammer. That way, if the foe went to move in any direction away from one, another would be striking on the other side of the doorway.

One...two...three...four.....Love to hear the crowd roar!!

If your opponent didn't want to play fair, Matango didn't have to either. It wasn't dirty, or underhanded to conduct a preemptive strike on an unknown foe. It could have been -Corr- coming out that door....Whills know it would explain the fart-like cloud....if it WAS Corr, the Jedi most certainly didn't want to smell that horrible body odor again....Took a week, and four bottles of industrial-strength odor removal shampoo to get the stench out of his hair the last time they scrapped....*

Re: Adi vs Atia

*Only her combat reflexes saved her. Just as all the coolness of the doors opening and the yellow smoke coming out, and people going silent (most of them saw the previous match where a yellow smoke defeated a sith lord), something hit the yellow smoke, and then again and again and again.

The first washed away beside her, cought her left shoulder in the "turbolence". Just the outter wave of the push putting her left side backwards. Could say it was a glancing hit, but it saved her from more humiliation. The man was punching air, and hitting the same around her. Ranged melee fighting? Intresting. When she is finnished with this male, she wont kill him. She will wound him, and when this round is done, she will get her banshees to kidnap the male, and in the cells of the crucibles his secrets will be revield. Tomorrow, In a week, in a year.... in a lifetime, but they will be hers.

that was what she thought after she fell to the ground and rolled to her right side feeling a push miss above her. Hitting the wall of the corridor she found cover behind the doorframe of the large bulk doors. Just enough for her to be in full cover, thanks to her smaller frame. We are referencing to Jedi Master Super Sayan here... not even his HAIR would fit there if he had all the hair jell in the world.

Joke aside, Ati sees as the yellow smoke is pushed down by a combo of force pushes, wind howling beside her and then silence. She felt her heart pump as she sat there in cover. Not a good way to statrt this fight, but she can turn it... she will tire out the little jedi if she needs to, but she will conquer him.

Throwing the still spewing granade out somewhere between him and her, the lost smoke is soon replanished as the granade rolls in a half circular arc before stopping and just continuing to spew more smoke between the two combatants.

While this happens, she pushes herself up a little with her leggs, sliding up on the metal doorframe. Pulling the E-11, setting on the strongest stun, she leans out just for a moment, aims at the reddest spot where she last saw Adi (should still be Adi) and fires dead center.

Ati braces for the Jedi-s reaction. if he dodges, she would restart her charge, because then she can supress the jedi. If he grabs a lightsaber, well... the same. If he does something Else, then she might not fully charge him and keep to the cover of both metal and smoke.
Her tactical advantage stays still. She can see him, but he, at least for the moment shouldnt be able to see what she is up to. Her clothing grants her great stealth, and any sounds she might just happen to make (not at all much) would be masked by the bouncing and rolling of the granade.

So, theoretically (for ati) Adi wouldnt know that she was about to attack from anything but the force, and while the blaster sound is a good giveaway, she wasnt using normal bolts, but the cone shaped blue light that comes with stunblasts. And it would be too late to know what it is because of the thickness of the smoke.

All in all, it sounds like a normal blasterbolt, an easy thing to deflect with a lightsaber, but in truth, it is far from it.*

Re: Adi vs Atia

HissSsSsssssssSSSS...
....TINK-taTINK... SSSssSsSSssssss..

*A burst came ripping from within the doorway through the yellow cloud of the smoke grenade, one that to a trained ear from a normal blaster shot. A stun bolt had a distinct sound....the normal 'kill' shot from an E-11 having a bit more 'thump'...whereas a stun shot was a higher pitch frequency, allowing for one to distinguish between the two. While the former would be dealt with using a slight burst of speed, and a phrik-covered hand tossed into the path to reflect it, this would take a little more...finesse.*

*Once again reaching into his bag of tricks, Adi brought his hands back together in front of him, and further braced himself as best as he could..He then envisioned a very shallow 'dome' out in front of his entire body, like a shield, about a foot and a half out in front of him. No sooner had he done so, the stun bolt's energy washed into the force reflect. He leaned into it, bending his elbows, then pushing back on the stun burst, flinging it back at its point of origin. Yeah, it drove the Jedi Watch Lead back a little bit from the impact, but it would hopefully be worth it.*

*Cheap parlor tricks and guns? Who was this guy, Adi from the past? Next, a repulse hand blast would exit the hallway, along with a stickyshot cartridge....

The Arkanian felt the sweat beginning to bead on his forehead already, and it was only the beginning of the fight. There was only one saving grace to all of this....he hadn't had to do a lot of moving around yet....but that didn't mean he wasn't feeling the strain of drawing on the force in such rapid bursts such as he had to already. He wasn't sure if the tingling in his hands was from his use of force, or the residual from the stun bolt. Either way, it really didn't matter....point was, he wouldn't be able to keep this up for long at all.

There was, however, no kriffin' way he was gonna let whoever it was in that hallway know that.*

"Is that REALLY all you've got?? C'mon now, this is a tournament, not a rave....so far, you are all smoke and lights. Where're the deathsticks and Ecstasy?

You aren't really that scared of a lil' ol' Jedi Knight, are you?"

*And, he waited. There would be time for reacting soon enough.*

Re: Adi vs Atia

*First off, I would like to commend my opponent with the following theme for his efforts.[/url:1k0pvnp3][/color:1k0pvnp3]
"Is that REALLY all you've...[/quote:1k0pvnp3]

*Sensing the force beeing used instead of lightsaber or quick feet, she didnt need to guess what the male was going to do. Its one of the deflecting/absorbing powers. That would have been what she would have done. The thought brought chills to her spine. A male doing what SHE would have done... BAH! Where is the world going to?

Sweeping back behind cover quickly just in time for her own shot to wine past, she did not hesitate.*[/color:1k0pvnp3]
...got?? [/quote:1k0pvnp3]

*She exited the cover, her left hand allready pressed the sound dampner active on her belt, and left an other finger on the stealth button. Fireing a shot again, this time a blaster shot, without sound, and in the thick smoke without light untill it was very late. She guessed he would use the same technique to defeat this attack, and that is why it was only a distraction.

As she shot, she also jumped imidietley, jumping from the bridge over to the platform on Adis left. This would bring her out of the smoke and into visibility, and that, she could not let happen. That is why she activated the stealth field the very moment her feet left the ground.

She would land in a half crouch, left foot forward and facing Adi, right one behind and out to the right. Her left arm would be bent before her and the blaster laid to rest on it, to be more steady. The gun was set on auto fire, normal blaster shots.

She was ready to use Force Delfect any moment before, during and after the jump, if the jedi would find a way to delfect her own shot at her or use any other attacks.

What she was going for was that the jedi would thing she is still in the fog, since she fired a new shot, with a new tactic, as if she was tasting him, while she wasnt even there anymore, actually invisible and a mare jump from him. Of course, the jedi would surely feel her closer and not in the fog of smoke anymore, a fog that was still growing, but not for long now.*[/color:1k0pvnp3]
