Dace vs Kel

*The Nature of the arena our combatants find themselves in is one of strict usefullness. A flat square floor, 50 feet by 50 feet, open on all 4 sides. 15 feet back from the tournament platform is a 20 foot wall, and behind that wall are the arena seats. They are filled with spectators screaming and cheering, booing and carrying on*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*The same arena. The same floor. Blood stains where combatants had lost limbs, been stabbed or shot....It was exhilarating....He took a deep breath, smelling the air. It was go time. An old friend. An old enemy. Kel.....This battle would be hard fought, hard won...There would be blood. There would be Blood......

He stood, his jacket falling to the arena floor. HIs black tank top now the only thing between Kels sabers, and his own skin......He closed his eyes briefly, allowing the Force to flow through him....He exhaled and opened his eyes, awaiting his opponent....*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*As the lift bringing him to the arena floor chimed with its arrival tone, Kel exhaled and opened his eyes. They were wary, sharp, their every move an analysis of all he perceived, already thirsty to drink in their next target. Kel's previous opponent had not shown, and the disappointment had rang throughout the crowd and within himself. He'd wanted blood, and it was denied him. Plenty of time to make up lost ground, he thought as he turned and emerged into the light.

It was the same venue as before, down to the raucous crowd that roared as he entered. Not two steps from the lift he reached back and drew his sword, eliciting a crescendo and the scattered calls of his name that he'd come to expect from the patrons of the arena. He scanned the floor of the pit, and found himself half-surprised that his combatant already had arrived. What was more, it was someone he quickly recognized as someone he'd fought previously. He gave a mirthless chuckle, and let the Force creep into his voice so that it would carry to the figure standing ahead of him.*

"Iniquitous. I'd heard you had taken up the Jedi mantle. That's disappointing."

*He would await confirmation before making any further move, but settled in perhaps ten paces from the former...well, trying to attach a single alignment to the warrior was akin to assigning a smell to fresh air. Nevertheless, this would hardly be a battle won on ideological differences. It would end with one spit upon the blade of another, or in some other conflagration of blood and limbs just like their previous tangles had.

He swung his left leg back, bringing his right side to face Iniquitous as his sword angled downward such that the tip just touched the ground. His left hand was free, ready to grab one of his myriad utilities (his loadout had not changed from his previous duel) or to employ the Force actively as necessary. He and Iniquitous had faced each other enough times to know each other's tricks, and the warrior within him awaited what would come of their martial maelstrom.

He awaited.*

*He grinned. He didnt move. He didnt change position. He just stood, waited and looked at the other man across from him*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*His faux-mirth dropped and his eyes narrowed a fraction at Iniquitous's retort. Everything had to be a chore. He could oblige, of course.

He strode forth, his strides covering the distance in just a few seconds at a walking pace. All he offered before they began was a simple,*
"Very well."

*He raised his sword-arm to shoulder height, and as he closed to attacking distance his left arm shot forth suddenly to send a ripple of the Force to the dust-covered ground, sending a cloud up into the space his opponent occupied. His goal was simple; cloud his vision, sting his eyes, make him cough, distract him.

As he made his last stride forth, he twirled his right arm and brought his sword down in a cleaving slash that would, ideally, shatter any defense Iniquitous contrived and, perhaps, put an early end to their confrontation. He knew better, though, and as his sword whistled through the air he scanned for whatever countermeasure his foe would erect.*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*Kel strode forward, closing the distance in a matter of seconds. Daceniquitous let the Force bleed through his body in a solid rush. Everything around him seemed to slow down to microseconds. Kel's left hand came out, almost at a crawl, blasting the dust up from the arena floor, looking to blind and or disorient his opponent....Daceniquitous grinned.... He watched as the other man then attacked with his right hand, the sword coming down in a powerful slash..........

Daceniquitous then reacted. His body would seem a virtual explosion of movement. He stepped forward and dropped to his knees, his sabers slapping into his hands, his left blade arcing up, now on the inside of Kels right arm, just below the elbow, his right blade erupting directly towards the other mans solar plexus.

The move was risky, but could pay off huge.....*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*The moment Kel saw his target drop, he knew some skulduggery was afoot. Iniquitous was fast, Kel knew, but the bloodlust of the crowd had remained consistent from his last duel. Kel's own frustration at his opponent's haughtiness metabolized to dark-side strength, and he let his body flash with energy as his own senses exploded into action.

His forward momentum was augmented by a Force-aided push from both his feet, including the stomp with his right, and he launched into a high front-flip as the lightsabers flew toward the space his torso had occupied instants earlier. With his sword-arm acting as the pivot, his blade was brought into place to meet Iniquitous's cut on the inside, pushing it safely away (for the moment) as his opponent's other lightsaber stabbed for the place his torso had been. Barring a sudden reversal of fortune, he now had his opponent beneath him, lightsabers stabbing away from where he would end up, on his knees.

At the zenith of his leap, he was completely upside-down, and it was a simple matter of channeling the fury that surrounded him into the very tips of his fingers, feeling them go cold as blue fire tickled his palm. There was the briefest sense of anger that pervaded his mind as the runaway Force energy manifested itself, then the bolt was loose, arcing for the crown of his opponent's head with the potential and kinetic force such an attack often entailed. At best, his foe would be electrocuted. At worst, he would at least buy some space for a safe landing on the other side of his foe.*

Re: Dace vs Kel

*Still under the influence of Force Speed, and with Kel in the air and upside down, Daceniquitous rocketed to his feet and pivoted 180, lashing up and out with his blades. His right blade just above the wrist of Kels open left hand, his own left blade slashing at the neck/face of the other man. At 6'7", with fully extended blades, the big man would have over a ten foot reach into the air. This would allow him to either cut the mans arm and head off, or defend against the lightning if he was unable to cut the airborne man apart*
