Re: Refuge City

*He tracked the scurrying creature in his helms three-sixty vision as he approached the door, reaching the top of the steps and setting himself ready. He head turned slightly to give the impression that he was looking at Sid, though such a head movement was unnecessary. He liked to do that when addressing someone. It gave them a better grasp of what he was saying somehow and put them more at ease... sometimes.

He also managed to impart a withering look with the T-Shaped gaze.*

:: Want me to blast it for you? ::

*The snark was meant in jest and he turned to face the door once again as Sidara neared the top of the stairs, giving her time to ready herself to the side of the doorway like the well trained soldier she was.*

:: I guess there's one way to find out... ::

*As soon as she was in place he stepped forward, armoured boot coming up to mash into the door with thunderous force. The door, frame, and half the wall collapsed inwards and Corr was through in a blur of green and grey, rolling over his shoulder as he hit the floor within and coming up with blaster pistols in each hand, scanning the room, barrels tracking with his stare...

The place was empty.*

Re: Refuge City

Sidara frowned at him. Her tone was slightly disgruntled and pouty. She didn't like her weaknesses recognized by him. She didn't want him to think of her in any other way than strong and fearless.

No.. you don't need to blast it. I'm fine.

She followed him into the building.. the empty building.

Uh, Corr'ika... this place is deserted.... are you sure this is the right place?

She knew he had the right place. Corr was always very deliberate in his actions and checked himself. He rarely made mistakes when on a mission. She knew she had to learn from him.... and put her ego away when they were working. Her stubbornness would get her no where.

Re: Refuge City

*Grumbling in Mando'a he big warrior stalked around the empty space, poking his foot at a rumpled sleeping mat and assorted debris. It was obvious the someone had been living here. Perhaps the Sith would return, Corr thught as he looked to Sidara. His sensors beeped at him for attention and he turned his head, directing the ghostly green sensor on the far wall where, in his HUD, there was a faint red outline.*

:: Aha... ::

*He approached the wall and the red, rectangular outline, fiddling with controls on his left gauntlet until his comm bounced a ghost signal, an echo of a previous transmission, to the hidden device to caused the secret door to slide aside, revealing a concealed turbolift.

Corr frowned as he glanced to Sidara. He hated these kinds of lifts. There was always the high possibility for ambush and trap, with nwhere to move.*

:: I guess we're going down ::

*He said somewhat reluctantly.*

Re: Refuge City

Sid walked cautiously around the room, keeping her weapon at hand, ready to fire if she needed. Her sensors didn't pick up anything suspicious, just the nasty dirt that seemed to cling to everything in this room. It looked as though whoever was staying there had fled quickly, not that she could blame him or her. The thought of sleeping in this room made Sid shudder.

:: Not really luxury accommodations here, it seems. ::

Sid was cut off by the sound of a moving wall. She turned to face Corr, and found him standing in front of the turbolift.

:: I hate those things Corr. Too many variables involved. ::

She sighed, thought to herself how great a cigarette would be right now, and followed him. No matter what, she wouldn't leave him.

Re: Refuge City

*The lift was only small and they had to squeeze in close, chest to chest, to fit. The top of Sid's head only came up to the chin of Corr's visor and he chuckled softly at the predicament. She utter a scornfully "Its not my fault your so big" to which he replied "That's what she said" getting an armoured elbow in the armoured ribs for his mockery.

The lift hissed open and both Mando's immediately raised sidearms as they stepped cautiously out of the small tube.*

*The room they stepped into was big, probably a hundred foot square,carved from the rock of Camaas by some sort of mining laser, judging by the smooth walls that they could see. It was pitch black down here and their visors cast their surroundings in an eerie green hue, night vision flickering to life at the lack of light. The far reaches of the room were lost in the fuzzy green, ambient light not enough for their enhancements to penetrate, while closest to them were work benches with various vials, tubes and containers.

It all had the sterile feeling of a lab and the disinfectants in the air showed up on their HUD, thankfully lacking any poisonous aspect. Radiation levels were low too as the two surveyed their discovery.*

*Corr looked around, blaster tracking with his vision, and let out a low whistle.*

:: This barves been busy... ::
