I knew exactly what I was doing at the time and was in no way underestimating you. IC bragging about it is fine but that kinda irks me a bit, especially since I had no back up, no allies.

Anyway, I'm not here to make a big deal about that, just to lurk and see who I should pay for my X-wing order :P[/color:20au2j4q][/quote:20au2j4q]

Shhhh! I'm trying to be intimidating! LOL
Sorry but I was only calling it as I saw it, I saw the Chiss jump in... overeager to attack and expecting to be able to stealth their way around. Also, the only NOE forces at Kuat was my fleet, Kryptman's fleet (which never fired a shot) and Dearg's ship(s?) which also kinda didn't do anything if memory serves right.[/quote:20au2j4q]

Not sure how you can overestimate an SSD and however many fleets were there that also fired on me. Whether they were NOE or not :P Plus as I recall the plot there was i was there to negotiate for you to turn over a certain ship/person who we thought had attacked us, but hadn't. Meh it was fun and i didn't complain, til now. :P I might have to fiddle it that I get to fight your fleet at some point Morty, payback![/color:f82gxrgf]

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

I don't care to be involved in this, but I would like to offer a suggestion. Drop the OOC arguments and stick to IC.

No more comments suggesting that Plu doesn't deserve the business, because that is insulting. No more boasting, because both groups are dominant in their own right. And no more trying to rationalize why one group would do something, and another group would do another. Forget abandonment claims and technicalities. Don't do something IC that you aren't prepared to face the consequences for.

NOE shows up and attacks, wanting planet and company. Natural response, Mandalorians defend and call for backup. Two groups fight for what they want. Winner takes all, end of story.

Keep it IC. That used to be the norm.

That's all I have to say. Now if you don't mind, there are Ewoks that require my attention.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

*Shrugs*
That's how this started. I came to Fresia IC and sent a polite message to Plu. Unfortunately it never went through. If they want to fight for a planet and business that none of them were using then I'll defend it. The planet was technically abandoned which means our ships have the advantage. We're setting up defensively right now and because the planet was abandoned, none of Plu's defences are active.

So. We now have the foothold so to speak. We'll hold them off as long as possible if Plu decides to fight. If he doesn't then I am more than happy to work something out both IC and OOC. I'm done arguing about this. I'm just going to wait for Plu's response.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

Where I think you're getting confused Dearg is the abandonment thing. You have the right to call abandonment on the planet.

That however does not mean you automatically gain control of Plu's Canon business Incom.[/color:1c5h3g0s]
No more comments suggesting that Plu doesn't deserve the business, because that is insulting.[/quote:1c5h3g0s]

This I think strikes to the heart of the issue. While Dearg may have this burning desire to take over and control Incom, simply taking a planet on abandonment doesn't mean you also get businesses on that planet via the planetary abandonment rules.

There is a separate process[/url:1c5h3g0s] for businesses within the GEC.[/color:1c5h3g0s]

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

I think that is totally wrong Kaine. If someone takes a planet then they should gain the assets of that planet as well. Otherwise, why do you take a planet? A nice place to settle down with the wife and kids? *shrugs* It does not make sense to me.

Besides, I did not even know that there was a process to claim abandoned business anymore. Last I heard many, many months ago it was just a work in progress. Secondly, I didn't even get to put in a claim. I showed up over Fresia, was PM'd by a very frustrated Plu and then the OoC hassle began.

If I had known that I was supposed to put in a claim then I would have done so at the same time that I took over Incom. I cannot now however, because the moment I go to put in a claim I will be told by Plu, Tiro and Bria that I cannot claim it on abandonment. Plu posted today. So technically I cannot claim the business because of abandonment. I have to take it by Force now. Or strike a deal IC. I'm open to both options.

EDIT/ADDITION
Let's not forget that Cannonically, Incom has more than one location. I don't see why Plu and I cannot share. I will take Fresia's location and he can keep the others. We can both make the ships. That seems fair to me.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

I'll work on a post for you as I play some Xbox. Basically I'm going to ask you to place the SSD in geosynchronus orbit over the planet's northern axis. It'll have a commanding "view" scanner and weapons point of view. Your other ships will be given free reign to patrol or defend wherever they want. As long as they keep relatively close to the planet and the bigger ships. That way aid can get to them before they blow up.

I need to talk to Dearg first, and work out where we go from here. There's no need for OOC bickering.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

Because OOC bickering accomplishes nothing whatsoever and should have no effect on IC events.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

let's allow Plu and Dearg to sort with out, with the option of a councilor to act as mediator, it will make everything go smoother I think and avoid fighting.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

I've been waiting for Plu to come on so that we can sort it out. I've done all my nemoidian throughout the day so that when he did come online I would be done being pissy and be able to talk to him like a rational adult lol.

Look, we all know what we need to do IC, so lets do it.

Plu do you accept the fact that your planetary defense are asleep at the wheel and we have a surprise attack?

I'm pretty sure Dearg wants to avoid a battle if possible.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

There'll be plenty more opportunities for battles.

I'd much prefer we not fight one with any OOC disagreements hanging over the issues at hand. Let's leave the IC planning for after Plu and Dearg sort themselves out.

Re: OOC RP Planning and Dispute Resolution

I think we're sorted out OOC, and I've sent Dearg some suggestions for ways we can both get what we want out of this.

One thing I need to learn how to do better is share my my shiny toys :-P
