Kala'uun

*The driver handed the marcobinoculars to Worm, allowing him to see the figure on the roof take down a few forces. He turned and opened the small panel between the cab of the hovertruck and the cargo area.*



*Worm shut the pannel, the opened another compartment in the floor. Despite his orders, he removed a secret weapon for his own protection, a disrupter pistol. He then nodded to the driver, who, in order to provide a distraction for aide of the Jedi, proceeds to drive the hovertruck straight through the main door of the facility. The Sesk'vati pour from the back as soon as the truck stops, seeking hostile targets.*

*Ellie followed her sister onto the roof, she wasn't to happy about letting her sister head back down there, not after what she went through. She was about to tell her sister that she could help, but was distracted by a loud crash from below. Quickly she ran over to a skylight and peered down into the main floor of the building. There a van had smashed through the door, military personal were now pouring out of the back of the vehicle and engaging the slavers.*

"Who are those guys and how did they find us?"

*Downstairs the slavers had engaged the Sesk'vati in the main entrance. Many of the slaves had taken cover behind while another group moved to the catwalks to gain the higher ground. Upstairs in an old office stood Gesh, he seemed less then concerned about the fighting below. He was flanked by two heavily armed guards wearing solid black armor closely resembling old imperial armor. Turning from the desk that he stood in front calmly walked across the room to where an armored case sat. He ran his hand over its smooth surface before turning to the guards and walking towards the door.*

=Gesh=
"Come. Grab the box, I believe it's time for us to depart."

*The guards hurried over and picked up the box, one on either side, and followed Gesh. He had barely made it down the hallway when a human male ran up to him, out of breath and a look of panic on his face.*

=Human=
"Sir! The military is here. Their.."

=Gesh=
"I know that. Grab what remaining men you can find and fall back to the warehouse. We'll evacuate through the lower levels into the caves. Now go!"

*The man darted off without another word and pulled a communicator out of his pocket. Within seconds the order had been sent and slavers began to fallback into the warehouse to defend the turbo lift there.*

*The twenty Sesk'vati fired as they ran, but they did not take up positions in the open area. They continued to fire as they ran moving for locations where they suspected the leaders and the slaves might be. This meant that six soldiers headed into an old office area, while the remaining soldiers broke into three squads and split up to begin searching for holding cells. Slavers tended to be unimaginative in how they situated in such facilities.*

*In the mean time, Worm and the driver remained in the cab, it's armored shell largely protecting them from blaster fire. Worm shifted closer to the door, before opening it a crack and sticking out the disrupter. He fired at the catwalk above, taking a nice chunk out which was now disintegrated. That would give something to think about to those who sought a "better" position.*

They were the ones that captured some of the slavers that shot your ship down. They must have followed Master Kei'takao and I here. [action:2temt4vz]Pursing her lips in thought for a moment, debating what the best course of action is now that the situation has changed for the better, Kaiya, deciding the Sesk'vati should know that she and her Master are on their side and there is no danger of being caught in the crossfire, looks over at Ellie and says,[/action:2temt4vz] Stay here. I'm going back in to help Master Kei'takao," [action:2temt4vz]and then heads back for the entrance that will take her to the stairs leading to the top floor of the plant, her lightsaber held down, unignited, at her side.[/action:2temt4vz]

[npc name=Brijesh Kei'takao:2temt4vz][action:2temt4vz]The slavers soon find themselves caught between the advancing Sesk'vati and the Weequay Jedi Master, his emerald hued blade a yowling blur of eldritch light as he steadily advances with a determined scowl, deflecting blaster bolts back towards the slavers that had captured and tortured one of his students and killed his fellow Jedi, Master Kowen.[/action:2temt4vz][/npc:2temt4vz]

"..Sesk'vati."*Ellie said this in a low voice before turning and seeing her sister take off towards the stairs again. She didn't like the order "stay", especially when it involved her sister heading down into the fray without her. Biting her lower lip she turned her attention to the chaos below.*

*Down in the main warehouse the remaining slavers pulled into a tighter defensive position around the turbolift, their numbers rapidly dwindling. The sound of a blast door opening was drowned out by the sounds of blaster fire and yelling. Gesh strode through the door, his guards with the box in tow, and headed calmly towards the turbolift. He was wearing a black cloak over his armor with the hood pulled up. Without so much as any concern for the battle going on around him he calmly made his way to the turbolift, as he did he glanced over at Master Kei'takao and caught his gaze briefly. There was no fear in his eyes, no worry or any emotion that would indicate stress. Gesh came to stop in front of the turbolift and opened the doors, he stepped in followed by the guards. The doors slid shut and carried the trio many stories below the building.*

*Ellie watched the man from the skylight, she recognized him instantly. She could feel the anger rise up in her and didn't bother suppressing it. Her hands balled up into fist and she clenched her jaw.* "You."*Her anger got the better of her, abandoning her sister order to stay she took off for the stairs. She wanted nothing more than to tear apart the man who killed her master.*

*Stories below the turbolift came to a stop and the doors slid open. Gesh stepped out and raised his hand to signal the guards.*[/color ]"Leave the box." [color=#FFBF00]*The guards set down the box and follwed Gesh down the tunnel to where a speeder waited. From there he would be able to disappear for days, even week at a time. He pushed a button on his wrist communicator signaling the rest of the slavers to call the turbolift. Once the turbo lift doors had shut, Gesh hit another button on his communicator. Inside the turbolift a small screen lit up on the box showing a countdown sequence.*

*The turbolift reached the main hangar and the doors slid open. The closest slaver turned towards the lift then back to his attackers before doing a quick double take. There sitting in the turbolift was the box, its timer almost at zero. In panic the slaver yelled out an attempted to flee his position.* "BOMB!" *Before he could move, the device exploded. The blast ripped the turbolift apart and shot outward, killing the remaining slavers. The explosion was strong enough to reach a short distance away from the turbolift, casting shrapnel and other debris with it. Ellie had just made reached to warehouse and had started running towards the turbolift when the bomb went off. Moving instinctively, she dove behind a pillar and leaned up against it. She was close enough to the blast to feel the heat and shock wave as it rolled past her cover. Several seconds after the explosion, she peeked out from her cover. There, where a turbolift once stood, was nothing but a twisted heap of metal and duracrete surrounded by a cloud of dust that filled most of the room. Ellie stepped out from behind the pillar and let out a yell of frustration, she had been so close but failed to catch her masters killer.*

*The Sesk'vati lost three soldiers throughout the fray. Worm had watched all safely from the hovertruck. Unfortunately, the years of torment caused him to be physically ill equiped for such measures. After the flaming bits of turbolift finished pelting the cab of the hovertruck, Worm replaced the illegal pistol in it's concealed compartment, then pushed the door all the way open. He used both hands to swing his legs over so that he could exit the cab. Once he had steadied himself, he began his slow walk toward the where a small group of his warriors stood as well as the Weequay with the lightsaber.*

Brothers, sisters, continue your sweep. Recover any slaves you find. *The soldiers rushed off to comply.*

[action:ltkbruaj]Brijesh dives towards his right, intent on barreling through the door of an office or storeroom of some kind, narrowly evading the majority of the flame and debris the explosion sends roiling towards him, escaping unharmed save for some singing of his robes, a moderate burn on his left forearm and a jagged bit of twisted metal embedded in his left side above his hip.

Shaking his head, still ringing from the roar of the blast and shockwave, Brijesh stumbles slightly as he exits the office in time to witness Ellie's yell of frustration just before a Twi'lek he assumes is with the Sesk'vati approaches him and says,[/action:ltkbruaj]

[action:ltkbruaj]Looking over at Ellie, he asks,[/action:ltkbruaj] Did you see any Twi'leks that were being held here along with you?"[/npc:ltkbruaj]

[narration:ltkbruaj]Kaiya, having been on her way down from the top floor when the explosion sounded out from below, had taken a tumble down the flight of stairs she had been on. After recovering from the fall, bruised but otherwise unharmed, she had bolted down, anxious about her Master and twin.[/narration:ltkbruaj] [action:ltkbruaj]Skidding to a halt when, to her relief, she sees that both her Master and sister are among the living, Kaiya smiles as she stops beside Ellie and mutters under her breath for only her sister to hear,[/action:ltkbruaj] "Should have stayed on the roof like I told you [i:ltkbruaj]vod[/i:ltkbruaj]."

*Ellie rolled her eyes at her sisters comment. She muttered back to her just low enough for her sister to hear.*

"Not now Kaiya. I'm not in the mood for this."

*She turned to Master Kei'takao.*

"I'm not sure if there was. I was the only one in my cell."

*The grotesquely disfigured Twi'lek stroked his one remaining Lekku which wrapped his hunched shoulders absently.* We shall search the facility for all slaves, and export any non-Twi'lek to their native worlds. We will also search for sales records, in order to recover any information that might give clues as to where further sales were conducted. This is our task, to obtain freedom for all our people throughout the galaxy.

*Worm, despite his permanent sneer and afixed squint that result from years of torture, looked at the recently enslaved Jedi with the best expression of compassion that the scarred face could muster.* If you would like, we have excellent medical facilities and Rylca tanks.

*Ellie could sense worms feeling of compassion and sympathy more through the force and verbally then she could physically. Even though she had was battered and bruised, she shook her head and turned to him.*

"No, I'll be fine, thanks though."

[action:bkzb37py]Looking back at the disfigured Twi'lek, Brijesh asks,[/action:bkzb37py] Are there any maps of the tunnels beneath Kala'uun. Any other ways to access any caverns beneath the city? The sooner we can begin pursuing them, the better. The starport has been placed on lockdown but if these schutta have a ship or ships somewhere outside the city they may elude us."[/npc:bkzb37py]

Of course, Master Kei'tako. There are an endless connection of tunnels in the undercity, many of which are mapped. If this being has any wisdom at all, the realism of inaccessability of the star port would be well thought out, but taking the tunnels to a ship parked on the surface of Twilight would be a possibility.

*Worm turned to the driver.* Have the Sesk'vati send Deathseeds out to search for ships parked on the surface. Any ship that flees, tell the Republic fleet to disable and capture the ship.

Their ship was downed and Master Kowen was killed when these vermin attempted to take them captive. Ellie, as you know, was taken captive. The twin's bond enabled them to communicate telepathically despite the distance and when we learned of what happened, my Padawan and I came here to free her. [action:2ltf7xdb]Closing his deep set eyes and slowing his breathing as he prepares to remove the shrapnel from his side, his disgust for slavers evident, Brijesh concludes,[/action:2ltf7xdb] Now that we know what these scum are, we won't leave Ryloth until they are hunted down and, [action:2ltf7xdb]he grunts through gritted teeth as he wrenches the shrapnel from his side and lets it drop to the floor to press his hand over the wound to staunch the bleeding,[/action:2ltf7xdb] made to pay the price for their crimes."[/npc:2ltf7xdb]

*Ellie followed her sister up the stairs, each step brought a shudder of pain up through her legs. She let out a sigh when they reached ground level. With each step she took, she began to lag. The adrenaline, shock of her sisters arrival and the ambush by the military was beginning to wear off. Everything she went through was now beginning to hit her hard, she was now regretting not accepting medical treatment right away. She searched the offices with her sister for several minutes, each of her steps became more forced then the last. Finally she came to a stop in the middle of the room, she steadied herself to keep from falling over.*

"Vod...I think I need to sit down."

*Taking her steps slowly she headed for the nearest chair, the front of her boot caught the floor almost causing her to trip. Upon reaching the chair she slowly lowered herself into it and gave a slightly painful sigh. As much as it hurt she still wanted to keep going, to catch the man who killed her master.*

"Maybe I pushed myself a little to hard."

*Reaching out to catch her twin in case she falls when stumbling, Kaiya kneels beside the chair Ellie drops into, a concerned expression on her face as she nod in agreement and says,* "You need to take it easy vod. You should probably be in a medcenter, not here. You won't do . . . anyone any good if you collapse. *Looking around the office they had been searching, Kaiya sighs in frustration and rubs her forehead as she says,* I don't think we're going to find anything in here. It's not likely they left anything behind that will lead us to wherever they've gone. *Standing up, Kaiya says,* We should go and see if Master Kei'takao and the Sesk'vati have had any better luck. When you've had a chance to catch your breath, ok? Maybe you should let one of their medics take a look at you too."

*Ellie knew her sister was right with both points. The odds of the slavers leaving clues behind to their current location was slim. Her sister was also right about her needing medical attention. She let out a sigh and looked looked down at her arms. Her forearms had several bruises and cuts running down to the restraints till connected to her wrists. She could feel a few sharp pains in her chest with every breath she took.*

"I..just wanted to catch him, before he hurt anyone else."

*Placing her hands on the arms of the chair, she slowly pushed herself out of the chair. She was still sore, but she didn't want to be there any longer.*

"Lets go. I've had enough of this place."

*Kaiya puts an arm around her twin's shoulders when she explains that she avoided being treated until now because she wanted to make sure the man who killed her Master, held her captive and tortured her was not able to inflict any suffering on any else, saying,* "I know vod. We'll find him, *she says determinedly as they leave the offices and begin making their way back to where Master Kei'takao and the Twi'lek that seems to be in charge of the Sesk'vati that are here were when they last saw them,* He won't hurt anyone ever again. Haat, Ijaa, Haa'it ," *she adds solemnly in Mando'a, making it clear that she is vowing to her twin that it will be so.*

*Ellie leaned slightly into her sister to use her as support to keep herself standing. She remained silent for a moments as the headed back to where they left the others, before speaking in a low voice to her sister.*

"Thanks vod, for...everything."

*Worm had not noticed the wound until the Weequay wrenched the object from his flesh.* If you would follow me, I can get you the map you seek and a rylca patch for that wound.

*The severely disfigured being began the slow shuffle that his twisted legs would allow him.* I can relate to the plight of your padawan's twin. I too was a slave, and experimented upon until what remained is what you see today. I lost everything, my childhood, my health, my lekku, even my name. For you this is a case of one slave, one friend. For us, this is the reality of the battle facing our entire people. Throughout the galaxy, our women are highly valued as objects of rape, while our men are reduced to little more than livestock.

The Jedi Watchman or Watchmen stationed on Ryloth? Has their presence not acted as a deterrent at all? Surely you could approach either or both of them about increasing the vigilance against scum such as, [action:39mzkppx]he waves a hand towards some of the bodies of the slavers they are passing,[/action:39mzkppx] this? The Night Jedi have some ties with the Jedi Order, I could see if there is not something more they could do once we've dealt with this particular nest or vermin. If the Jedi Order will not stand with you against this injustice, I give you my word that the Night Jedi will."[/npc:39mzkppx]
