Re: Open Orbit

BA was staring at the radar, one heavy boot tip tapping out a beat when Nemo walked in. She straightened up when she saw him, tossing her long shiny brown hair over one leather clad shoulder. Giving him a quick up down look with her big brown eyes she listened to his orders. Pirates? How, interesting.

"Right away cap'n"

She quickly turned back to her controls and her fingers flew over an array of buttons and switches with ease, but her perfectly sculpted eyebrows furrowed when the yellow overheating light blinked on. Sighing she rerouted the engines to take the strain off the faulty fan. Nemo had sent Bob and that glorified nerf herder Jay to fix that hours ago, but when you send a man to do HER job...

Speak of the devil. Jay and Bob walked in, and quickly the dull hum and beeps of her peaceful cockpit was filled with the inane yapping of that grease ball Jay. He blew out foul smelling smoke and her direction and she swiveled in her chair to send him an icy glare

"I know you are used to always having something between your lips but would you mind...blowing....elsewhere? Some of us have work to do"

Turning back to the controls she fine tuned their course as the newest readouts on ship movements came back. She could feel Bob's gaze on her chest and she let out a sigh and stood up. Jay was yammering on about pirates and Nemo had his usual expression of attentive boredom while Bob made some gesture to his crotch. Walking over to fiddle with the sensors she heard Jay say her name and she twirled.

"Right. This is my cockpit and right now it needs more PIT and less...."

She stopped herself when she caught Nemo's amused look. Leaning back she pointed one long graceful finger at the door.

"OUT!"

[action:1wk588qo]Jay looked at the angry young woman as she berated him, the insult not lost on him, but was met with a vacant, dumbstruck expression, open-mouthed and semi-closed eyelids. Snorting derisively he bit his bottom lip as his face turned to one of determination, springing nimbly out from behind the seat Bob had taken, and into open space, or at least what little was available to be called as such. Making the spanking motions yet again he nodded vehemently at BA, holding her gaze.[/action:1wk588qo]

"Yeah biatch! Get makin' those kriff' sammiches and Sithspit!!! Know your place!! Nnnn Nnnn Nnnn!!!"[/color:1wk588qo]

"OUT!"[/quote:1wk588qo]

[action:1wk588qo]Her anger radiated like a blazing star of fury, and Jay knew when to cut losses and high-tail it, indeed, it was how he often survived his outspoken mouth. The rage in her eyes spoke of hideous and heinous acts to be imparted upon his person, no doubt fuelled by his sandwich comment earlier. Tapping his compadr├â┬® on the shoulder with the back of his hand, he stuffed his other into his pocket and dumbly fumbled amidst the contents for his lighter.[/action:1wk588qo]

"Come on fatboy, this nemoidian be raggin' anyway! kriff' tampon must be stuck! Dumb nemoidian prolly kriff stuffed it up her nose or somethin'! BONG!"[/color:1wk588qo]

[action:1wk588qo]Flashing a half-grin, half-sneer at BA, the anger now evident in her eyes was enough to force a yelp. Jay knew she would make him suffer for it later, but he couldn't help running his mouth off. Maybe he had one of those mental disorders or something, like tourette's or ADHD or some other Sithspit that people blamed for speaking before thinking. That or he was just a gobby stoner. Let's not take bets on where everyone lay on that. Jumping visibly, his eyes widening with fright, he "eep!"-d and swiftly scurried out the bridge, or cockpit, or kriff, leaving the grumpy miser to her piloting, and Nemo to his plotting, and assuming Bob wouldn't be far behind him.[/action:1wk588qo]

Re: Open Orbit

*Bob opened his mouth in a silent laugh, looking somewhat like Guppy Fish at feeding time, and rose unsteadily to his feet. Was the Inertial compensator turned down or was this just the usual head rush that often accompanied his muddled brain while ascending a couple of feet? Did anyone care? Surely not ole Bob.

Jay words often ran parallel to Bobs thought and he found himself wondering back to the last time BA was this grouchy... Wait... That didn't work. One problem was his memory only lasted back as far as the spliff Jay and he had sneaked while listening to that boring Jedi kriff prattling on about Sithspit that seemed, to Bob at least, to be a given. Just another reason for those scroteless pacifists to pat each other on the back and say how righteous they were. No. Bob didn't hold much truck with the so-called Jedi order these days. Not after...
The second problem was that BA was always grouchy. She couldn't be leaking vital fluids every one of those times. Christ there'd be a crimson trail from the outer rim to the core!

Mouth opening and tongue lolling at his own thoughts he Reached down and gripped his lightsaber hilt, clipping it off his belt in one deft move and, with the cylindrical prtrusion leading the way, proceeded to dance a little shuffle after Jay while waving impudently at his angry Padawan.*

Re: Open Orbit

*Nemo watched and listened to the exchange between his team. He might not like the content of their discussions but rivalry was good for team morale. He'd make sure that this rivalry stayed friendly. His eyes followed Bob out of the room, he could hear Jay leave before him. He'd have to have the last word before he left though.*

*He said to BA before getting up off his seat and leaving the cockpit. He walked along to the lounge and slumped down on a comfy part of the sofa.* *He would've said something to either of the knights but instead he got a cigar out from his robes, somewhere, and lit it up. He then spent the next few minutes looking at the ceiling and blowing smoke rings, imagining what sort of things they'd be faced with on Taanab.*

Re: Open Orbit

BA watched as the men left the cockpit and she sat back down in her pilots chair. Looking to the screen she saw all systems were engaged and they were set for hyperspace. Tweaking a few things she set their course and hit the button that would send them hurtling through space to Tannab. Sitting back after she did she let out a long sigh and took her dagger out of her boot and used it to clean her nails while the white streaks of stars flashed by out the window.

Re: Open Orbit

*Dropping from hyperspace, the Bes'uliik Fighter Dha'verd pulled into Tython's upper orbit and began scanning for coordinates to possible civilized zones. In the pilots seat, Kelborn was looking over the dashboard just as Adenn, who sat behind him facing away from the planet they were currently flying towards, was just starting to replay the message from the Huntmaster for the fifty-billionth time since they had left from Coruscant.*

Ade, would you mind shutting that damn thing off? We're here.

*Kelborn let out a scoff. Adenn was right, jumping along the ancient hyperlane to Tython was rather treacherous, as was every lane into the Deep Core. Suddenly the consul on the dashboard began beeping, having located a small settlement within a dried out valley. Locking in the coordinates, Kelborn said.*

Time to get serious Ade.

*Kelborn set his jaw and resisted the urge to punch the younger warrior, for it had been well over 6 months since Kelborn had decided that being the Clan leader of Bralor was far too...boring to hold up, especially since the only members who came to their farm were Sol and Adenn...Shaking the thought from his mind for now, Kelborn focused on the controls as he took the fighter into Tython's atmosphere.*

Re: Open Orbit

*Exiting the planets atmosphere, Kelborn formed up beside Adenn's Pursuer, which had halted in orbit so he could take care of Milo. As he waited, Kelborn began calculating the jumps needed to get out of the Deep Core safely.*

*On the Pursuer, Adenn set the Pursuer to begin making orbit around Tython before pulling off his helmet, setting it in the pilots chair as he headed out to the infirmary where Milo waited, currently passed out from the sedative. One the way up from orbit, Adenn had done a quick bit of research to discover what chemicals were needed to put a subject into a chemically induced coma. Searching through the cabinets and looking over the chemicals in there, he was genuinely surprised to find that all he needed was here. Filling 1 syringe with the chemicals to put him down, he filled the other with the chemicals needed to wake him up again. Then, those set aside carefully in a cabinet, Adenn began hooking Milo up to proper monitors, and completely strapped down his legs, arms, chest and head to the bed so no repeats of his attempted escape would occur. Then, getting out the tools needed to pull the slugs from Milo's arm and legs, Adenn got to work.*

Re: Open Orbit

*Milo oblivious to what was happening was strapped down to the table and popped full of chemicals. It was a very lucky thing that the men had all the required to fix him up, thus when they went to pull the bullets they found only two. The ones in his knees were taken out and carefully bound but it would months if ever before he would ever walk. His arms though, the shatter gun shot right through them and left puncture marks on both ends of the arm but they were wrapped up as well.

In his mind he could see though, the syringe added to him had actually put him into the state of anesthesia awareness. He could see, hear and feel everything done to him yet try as he might he could not move. Not due to the straps mind you but because the fluids given to his body had at least done that much for him.*

Re: Open Orbit

*It took Adenn a little over an hour to dig out the bullets, stitch the wounds, and dress them with bacta patches to speed the healing process. Then, with the important job done, Adenn drew the syringe to put Milo into a chemically induced coma and injected it into his IV tube. As the chemicals pumped into Milo's system, Adenn grinned in relief as he set the syringe aside and headed to the cockpit. Flopping back into his seat, he let out a deep sigh as he let the stress wash outta his system before activating the comm to Kelborn.*

:: Good to hear Ade. I'm transmitting the jumping calculations to your ship now, feel free to jump ahead of me as I prep the message to the Huntmaster. Meet you in orbit above Coruscant. ::

*As the two ships powered up once again, Kelborn's fighter remained in orbit a bit longer as the Pursuer headed off to the jump point and entered hyperspace. A few minutes later, Kelborn moved his fighter into position as well, transmitted the message to the Huntmaster, then jumped into hyperspace as well.*
