Avatar TV series

This is not about James Cameron's Avatar, but instead about Avatar: The Last Airbender (Also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang) and Avatar: The Legend of Korra tv series.

I'm merely curious to know who follows it, and open up a discussion on what people's opinions or ideas about it can produce.

I follow it as well. I don't know which series I like better. The original was more light hearted, brighter and a lot more expansive in it's world and adventure. I also appreciate the parallel stories and characters.
The new series is darker grittier and much more action packed, but it sacrifices an expansive world and character developments. The series also plans on being short, only two seasons

No spoilers. I haven't even seen the first episode lol

Yeah, I do feel that with it being practically isolated to one city does make it a bit constrictive. I'd wanted to see what the Fire Nation, Northern Water Tribe and Ba Sing Se now look like... But alas, we cannot.

The older series followed a kid and his companions: this new series follows a teenager/adult and her companions so of course the show would be a bit darker. Because of the time gap it leaves a lot of spoilers to come in the future, and while they've released a few spoilers the items they have released have asked a whole lot MORE questions. I look forward to watching it and hope they complete four books this time, and not three and a half.

Yeah, that kind of threw me off that did. When did book three technically finish? After the Day of Black Sun? Or after Aang beat Ozai?

loved the Avatar the last airbender and im loving this new tv series. though i thought Kora would be alittle bit more stronger as an avatar,

Who out of all the aired episodes (Aang and Korra series') would you say is the most BA character and why?

Of the Aang series', my personal BA character would have to be Appa. Yeah the sandbenders captured him, but hell, do not mess with a giant furry flying bison!

From the Korra series, for now I'm gonna have to say Amon.

I followed/follow both.
Im not liking Korra series as much as I did Aang's. Although Korra seems good in its own right, I just have a preference for Aang's series. Though the flash backs that Korra gets is awesome, its nice to know what happened after the series finished.

Any ideas on who Amon is?

I have seen one episode of Korra and I say that Amon is the guy on the council from the Northern Water Benders who headed the task force to capture Amon.

Going to to second that. Iroh was always my favorite.

I regret not getting too deeply in to the Legend of Korra yet...mostly it's a lack of time issue...what little I've seen, though, is pretty awesome.

I shall Kirus its on only once a week for what i can find though.

Anyone know when the next season is coming out?

I haven't seen all of Korra yet, but I'm still going to have to go with Iroh as the most BA.
