Re: Open Orbit

*With their moment of rest finally over, the ships in orbit had moved away from the homeworld of the sith. Their Ion trails acting in accordance with standard maneuvers when departing a star system. To those that would come before the trail had gone cold, it would look as if this fleet had merely made a swift stop above the world. As Lord Khar had made mention, deception was the first line of defense for the Empire. Turning off and heading out of the system, a single shuttle was belched from the underbelly of the leading Nebula. As the formation had slipped into the azure tunnel of hyperspace, the shuttle descended down to the planet below. Those trapped inside the shuttle's husk like form, eagerly awaited to return home and enjoy the spoils that had taken for themselves.*

*Deception was the greatest weapon the Sith could ever have. With the arrival of fresh blood, bold proclamations such as this were commonplace. To the rest of the Galaxy, this Empire did not exist. There was no Imperial palace, there was no Emperor. Korriban was only a world of ruins and forgotten echos.

So as Kaldera had brazenly proclaimed his attentions over all available channels, hands were set in motion. Sensor flares appeared on his terminal, indicating several warships powering up their weapons and targeting his fighter. His communications were isolated before much of the damage was done, but to whomever was listening before hand, they simply knew that another fighter had come into the system and proclaimed it's IFF transponder and affiliation.

A single transmission was sent to his fighter, playing out almost instantly over his starfighter's comms.*

:: Divert your course to Dreshdae. There you will await your Sith brethern. ::

*Before he could respond, the channel was closed and the sensor flares remained. The Sith would be willing to kill their own to keep their secret, it was imperative that they remain in the shadows before they struck. The damage to the Jedi would be irreparable, and thus ensuring Sith Dominion over the galaxy.*

Re: Open Orbit

Within the fleet, a lone man stood on the helm of one of the ships of Darth Laele's fleet. He wore a deep red robe with black trim along the bottom. The scarlet robes covered him from head to toe, glimmering with tiny hidden gems. He heard the words spoken over the private comm channel he shared with Laele. He smiled to himself, leaning back and closing his eyes for a moment. Revelling in the moment before he pressed the button on the comm, accessing the same private channel. He returned words.

:: Ch'ah vuct'san ch'ah ch'acan'b ttecitt'suvrehn g'esbun. ::

The ships had been there for quite a while, Laele's fleet not really doing anything at the moment. Lord Discidium nodded to himself before leaving the command of the helm to another Sith officer and wandering into his quarters. Once inside, he got on his knees and sat on them, closing his eyes and entering a state of dark meditation. Letting the Dark Side fuel him, guide him. Show him where to go, what to do.

The Force was strong with him. That was why Kyyx had chosen him as one of her generals. That was why she had come back to rescue him. That was why he had returned.

[color=#00BF40:3upqofto]*Strikeforce Nemesis Triton had a good history. Been in dosens of major battles, never lost any (well, one, but those reports are classified). Never lost a capitolship (well, besides maybe two, but those reports are classified). It was first the part of the 17th fleet of the Eye, but since... erm... budget and natural laws and such came into more action, this is what remains of a fleet wich housed over 30 SSD-s and hundreds of stardestroyers.
Strikeforce NEMESIS TRITON was feared by both jedi and sith, even some mandalorians that has encountered them. It was there when the Grand Sith Empire fell, it was in the first lines of attack at Alderaan, Coruscant (twice), Anobis, Yavin, Defence of Kashyyk, the Corellian Campaign, it was the reason for the near total destruction of the Mon Calamari shipyards, and the list goes on.

It is a very effective tool in the hands of Seleevan Khar, commanded by one of his truest servants and best of friends, if a sith can have one, Telli Savalas and his command crew aboard the Ceasar.

The first line came in in a U formation. Middle was the King Arthur, a ship that was captured by Seleevan Khar himself using a ruse to get the legendary "Crete" onboard. It was originally a Republic Navy flagship of Camelot Fleet. Now, it is the decoy flagship of the Nemesis Triton. Most would start fireing at the biggest ship, since that should house the admiral of fleet, and his command staff. If you kill that, chaos may ensue amongst the other ship captains and with the fall of leadership, the fleet falls too. That is why the Ceasar is the flagship, and every time an order is sent, it goes through the King Arthur, and from there its sent out to all the ships, even the Ceasar.
A cunning way to raise your command crews lifespan.

The King Arthur was in the middle, and a couple kilometers on either side, he had three Victory II SD-s positioned over eachother. On portside of the King, Battlegroup Centurion (numbers going from up and down), and on starboard of the Arthur, Battlegroup Prefex.

About 10 kilometers behind the Vanguard line (Victory II-s and the Arthur), a simple line of four Victory I Class Star Destroyers jumped out of hyperspace, the line is as follows, facing the planet from left to right: Ceasar (flagship), Octavian, Marcus, Gaius.

All Ships started to charge and activate shields, weapons, started gathering sensory data of the Orbit, and the Vic-I-s started launching fighters.

The fleet jumped out right over the Palace, about two posts (at full speed) from the edge of the gravity Well.*[/color:3upqofto]

[comlink:3upqofto]This is the first fleet of the Empire, Strike Force NEMESIS TRITON, the Navy Ministers own personal fleet. I am Admiral Telli Savalas. Any refusal of this order, commanded by the Minister of Naval matters himself will be met with ruthless and effective force.[/comlink:3upqofto]

*The Koray passed through orbit and kept clear of the task force over the imperial palace. The pilot brought the ship to the edge of the gravity well, as fast as he could, they were going to be late, it looked like, to their own meeting and that would be very bad PR. The communications officer, tight-beamed a single Hyperwave transmission to their destination, after confirming that no ships within sensor range could intercept it, and then plotted a round about course to the same location.*

Re: Open Orbit

Restless.

Lord Discidium was growing restless, aboard the ship that, though it was large in mass, still felt claustrophobic to the Nagai-Chiss hybrid. It still felt like the walls were closing in around him and the place up at the helm was shrinking around him. All around, the soldiers could feel his restlessness. Could feel the fact that Riski was beginning to lose his refined control. Yet, even so, even as his red eyes flared and his lips curved into a scowl, he still kept waiting. How long, exactly, was he going to wait and just sit there? Who knew. The soldiers themselves had no idea what his directives from Laele were. Only Discidium had any idea of them.

And he would keep it that way. His rough fingers traced the edge of the command chair's armrests, his eyes glazed over in thought. Thought of this Empire and everything that had befallen him in order to be here. Listening to others commands was never the thing he did. He always took control by himself, took orders into his own hands. But not this time. This time he had to stick to it.

Even as the birds of prey sent out by the Fleet Commander circled around, waiting for one of the other ships to even power up their drives and move. But, as it was, Riski didn't care what was on the Fleet Minister's mind. He might have been a part of this Empire in name but not in spirit.

Time was ticking and it did him no good just to stand there and wait. He clenched his fist, setting it down against the armrest of his chair. His robes glittered once more as he moved and hissed, still full of this restlessness.

Re: Open Orbit

Time had run out.

His patience had worn thin.

It was no longer time to waste.

Discidium was patientless.

And so he worked. His eyes flashed as he came across the first poor officer to come in his way and a hand came up to grip his neck and snapping it. The officers around him yelled and ran at the Sith Lord. Crazy, they thought. He'd gone crazy. THe shining gems reflected the light from the helm as he walked through, drawing a staff from beneath his robes and igniting it.

The slaughter began. One of the men tried to get to the comm to signal for help but he was cut down in cold blood. Eyes flashed. He wished he still had his scimitar. He'd have to find more of his knives to start cutting on people because frankly, blood was the funnest part of killing.

Another soldier down. Shooting erupted in the hallway of the ship. Riski was moving towards the ship's core. He reached the engine room and began to play around with some things. Some very vital things. He smirked, making it so the ship would not be able to be stopped. The engine would blow and the ship itself would slowly destroy itself as time progressed.

The captain who had replaced the officer at the helm saw emergency lights flashing. His eyes widened and he slammed on the comm, sending out a distress signal.

:: Mayday, mayday, this is the frigate En'casksit requesting assistance. Someone has sabotaged the engines and we are going down. Repeat, mayday, mayday. We are losing engine power. We are going -. ::

The man couldn't even finish his sentence as he looked down to see a red blade poking out from between his ribs. Riski sneered and kicked him aside. All the men were dead now and the distress signal had been sent. For all those who were watching knew, the ship was going down and was going to die.

He strapped in and prepared for the ride, guiding the ship with the Force. It took a lot of exertion but he soon had the dropping ship focused for exactly where he needed to go.

The darker side of the planet. It began to pick up speed as it went down, loosing momentum as the loss of all the engines as well as a few other elements that corrected the ship's balance in space dropped from it. It hit the gravity well quicker than anticipated and RIski lurched in his seat as they hit atmo.

Crashing down towards the surface. He grinned crazily. He truly.

Flirted with death.

He had come here to spy the Sith forces, instead he was now leaving with one of them. An odd creature no doubt.

*Slipping into the realm of reality from the azure tunnel of hyperspace, a single cargo hauler entered Korriban's airspace. It's origin point was unknown, taken merely as travelers amidst the stars. The cargo hauler was small, an insignificant gray speck among the darkness of the void. When the sensor probe of the system had garnered it's signal, the pilot had sent the ships transponder codes and hoped that he would get safe passage to the surface. After a lengthy discussion and admission to the system's security protocols, the small hauler descended to the surface and veered off towards the barren wastes of the tomb world. As Ahriman had desired, the palace would be trapped and nothing of the Emperor's memory would remain should trespassers come to pilfer the seat of his grand empire. Though his agents had already done their duty, wiping the entirety of the palace and leaving only a stylized Hydra, their lord and master had deemed that taking the extra step of caution was suitable. For only with secrets, does darkness flourish..*

Re: Open Orbit

*Couple hours after the coup was done, Seleevan entered the bridge.

There are still some strings to be cut. Everything went as planned, beautifully. The droids responded, the sith responded, most of the sith were killed, and those who were left followed his trail of breadcrums to the thombs. Perfect... just two slight misscalculations.
The emperor was not there.
Laele had died.

He was hoping to have her by his side, her military power with his. Even if this new sith empire was more like a brotherhood, it would still be nice to have the overwhelming military power on his side of the fence. And it was shame. Laele was a beautifull woman, and she could have gotten somewhere.
He closed that chapter, decided to reopen it with a bottle of wine or two later. Strings to cut.

The Chiss fleet.

He walked into the bridge of the Ceasar. The bridge was in the heart of the capitalship structure, not in the bridge tower like most ships has. This was to protect the brains of the ship. Seleevan had seen too many bridge towers blow to know this little change needed to be done.
Siding him at once was Admiral Telli Savalas, a bald, tall and stirdy man he had known for many years.*

"Report."

-Admiral Telli Savalas-
"My lord, the chiss fleet has not moved an inch. Other then that, we have had ships leaving the planet, most of them look like personal or civilian ships. We have not stopped any, as per your orders."

"Good. Do you know the chiss admiral, or wich ship is the main one?"

-Savalas-
"No sir, we had never had contact before today. I do not know chiss configurations either, I could not say."

"That is why its good that you have the former Naval Minister of the Sith Empire as your commander. See that ship there?"

*He pointed at the holotable in the middle of the bridge, set before a large Command Throne that was built exactly for seleevans purpouses. Size, that is. He sat down, and pointed at a Chiss capitolship.*

"That, is a Krenvoss Class Dreadnought. I like it. Remember the King Arthur? I dont think they do."

-Salavas-
"I see where you are going with it, Sir. What about the rest of the ships? They will turn on us the moment they get a hint of what is happening."

"Exterminatus."

-Salavas-
"Yes sir. I will work out an attack plan."

"Dont do it too fast though. I will try to talk to their commander. All I need, is that one ship. Rest, I dont care about. I might convince him to release it into my care, and then I let him leave."

-Salavas-
"My Lord, would you let him leave?"

"Yes, I will. And I will set whomever they yap to about the Sith empire on a wild goose chase."

-Salavas-
"Yes sir."

*A hour later everything was ready for the Operation. The fleet didnt come closer, they did not need to, if this was combat, they would have jumped strait onto the Chiss fleet, when it comes to effective weapons range. The crete was headed for the Krenvoss.*

:: This is the naval minister of the sith Empire. I demand an audience with the Commanding Officer of the Chiss fleet. ::

*No admiral or ensing can say nay to the Naval Minister of the Sith Empire, whom was a powerfull Sith himself. Soon, the two were meeting, and discussions began. The Admiral was informed of his lords demise, and her last wishes. That is, The fleet returns to csilla, dissembles its weaponry, and the crew gets to do with them what they want. The sith empire is no more, if it ever was, just an other tale of Sith rising as fast as they then fall. Of course, the Flagship would stay to defend korriban though, as the legacy of Sith Lord Laele, to protect the thombworld that has become hers.
Some negotiating and the such, and the deal was done. Not the best ones sel has ever seen, he kinda had to order the slaughter of every man and woman in the room to convince the admiral about the OTHER way this could go. Nobody wants to secrefice their lives for a dead woman, and no future.
Sel hired some of the command staff as "outside consultants", giving them lordship on Vortex with estates and privilidges, a fat paycheck, and that was that.

Taking the ship with, the fleet left Korriban, as had the Chiss fleet.

Korriban was now again only ruled by the dead.*

Re: Open Orbit

*Gravity bent and buckled as an invisible hand reached towards the planet, pulling a sleek coral craft out of the extra dimensional realm of darkspace and deposited it in the system, rapidly decelerating from light speed travel. Within the glossy black coral crust of the organic vessel, the Intendant mulled over the tactical information seared into his mind, sifting through the endless myriad of data the tall-yor fed him. Sensor nodes didn't detect the presence of the Freedom's Hope or Non-Com's VCX-700, meaning that the Yuuzhan Vong was the first to arrive. Scowling, he leaned back in the hau polyp seat and rattled his fingers against the arm of the living chair, eliciting the click-clack of his curved fingernails on slick bone. He didn't bother turning on the oggzil beacon, there was no point until the others arrived. Instead he reclined and enjoyed the brief bit of silence, ignoring the occasional drip drop from elsewhere in the ship as moisture circulated.*

*The casually drifted, dovin basals relaxing in their basal combs. That was until something of note caught his eye. The sensor nodes were picking up residue from a recent hyperspace jump, significant enough to be sizable.* *A fleet most likely, having come and gone, though only Yuuzhan knows why or where. Unlike the massive ion engines that bled energy into the void, the propulsion system of the Intendant's craft left little in the way of determinable material. It didn't leave an ion trail or possess an ion signature, let alone an electronic signature. Spectral it did have, but only while the oggzil was active. A necessity for communicating with infidel craft. There was nothing magnetic or metallic, just meat, rock, and crust. The way the dovin basals warped gravity was an indicator, though the ship was so small it wouldn't have left a noticeable mark.* *A natural stealth ship, somewhat intentional.*

*Come on you slow pokes, he thought. The meters running and the clocks ticking. Time is money, and more stereotypical sayings...*

Re: Open Orbit

*With significantly less subtlety than the Bleeding Orifice, the VCX-700 bearing the name Bes'bavar, the Clan Or'dinii symbol emblazoned on it's hull to either side of the cockpit, dropped out of hyperspace with a flash of excess energy being bled off. The ship scanned its surroundings and found things strangely vacant, as it had come expecting to find at least a few ships in orbit as a token defense if nothing else. NCO wasn't entirely certain how to react to the utter lack of an appropriate reception for himself and company. Belatedly, he began recording what little bit his sensors did pick up. hoping to be able to use the information latter to try and find the location(s) of origin for any enemy forces, arriving in the ensuing battle. He vaguely wondered if there would be a battle, and decided to make sure that a battle happened one way or another, even that only meant slagging the world below and sacking the dark temples.

The had it's shields up, which made it easy enough for most scans to pick up, and the weapons were on standby, just waiting for a target to bring them to life. NCO began to consider things carefully, his emotions still raged, but now there was a central calm, more lethal than the torrential forces of his emotions. It was a malevolent force, one that could wait for generations to see the full fruition of its designs. It sought the death of all Force users, for what distinction was there between Jetiise and Dar'jetiise? They both manipulated the people and abused their substantial powers, one was just more likely to put a bright facade on the front of it, while the the other was more honest in its dealings showing the galaxy its filth whilst grinding all opposition into oblivion. The Force was a blight on the galaxy, corrupting beings that might otherwise have been good souls, into greedy pawns of ambitious and deceitful lords.

NCO brought his attentions back to the situation at hand, as he decided to await the arrival of his compatriots, though he wondered who Nem had recruited to assist them on this venture. In any case he would be glad of the extra back up, and hopped they new how to handle themselves against the Dar'Jetiise in battle.*

Re: Open Orbit

*The Hope burst into the blackness of real space leaving behind the tumbling turny blue stuff of hyperspace behind. Its old hull gleamed in the darkness like a beacon of hope, light and everything good in the otherwise accursed place. On the bridge Xeonon stood looking out at the planet below them, Nem wasnt kidding about the worlds power. Already he could feel a coolness flow into his blood and bones, of course this could also be the pre mission jitters. Turning around he nodded at those around him.* No backing out now guys and girls.
