Re: Valley of the Dark Lords

"Noooooo!"

"With the thread of the crimes
of your own design
I bind your evil
Three times seven times.

I bind you from Behind
I bind you from Before
I bind you from the Left
I bind you from the Right
I bind you by Day
And I bind you by Night.

I bind you from Below
I bind you from Above
That you may ever know
The laws of Life and Love.

I bind you with your own
Dark conscience Within
And so let this magic
Unfold
And spin....

Goddess of darkest night
Send our troubles all to flight
Burn them in thy sacred fires
And replace them with our hearts' desires!

Empower them
Empower us
Be foretold each others trust
Chaos to Chaos
Dust to Dust
Let us create a more enduring lust.
"

Re: Valley of the Dark Lords

Staring into the great void one sometimes wonders what lays just ahead, ones thoughts wander erratically through past and future alike. This was but a normal aspect in Kandar├óÔé¼Ôäós whole life, constantly tormented by his past that haunted him to this very day. It had become a part of him, some might even say that horror wrought upon his kind had but all consumed his soul. It was with a heavy mind that he sat down in his vessel├óÔé¼Ôäós cockpit, his eyes fixated on the transparisteel window just ahead. An air of uncertainty was felt in the air, knowing full well what his fate might be once his ship jumped out of hyperspace. Travelling to Korriban was not the smartest move he had ever made, but the promise of credits was all too enticing to pass out.

The job was simple, to gather information about Sith forces back on Korriban and head back to Nar Shaddaa. Synn figured that the Hutt Cartel would just sell the information to the highest bidder, not that he actually cared what they did with it. He just cared about his own survival, and knowing Sith from legend, he would have a lot to care about. Suddenly the ship shuddered, almost as if it was cold. Without much thought the mercenary started going through the panels in the cockpit, fully knowing that a mistake now would be costly. That was why he hadn├óÔé¼Ôäót jumped out of hyperspace next to Korriban, instead opting to stay at the edge of the system.

What a wondrous sight that it was, a lone planet out into the distance, nothing but a speckle in the cockpit window. It was interesting to see how the asteroid belts surrounded its location, Korriban and its seven moons. There were no blips on the radar indicating the presence of ships, but Kandar had to be extra careful. His vessel traversed the system slowly, almost as if it was a prowling feline hunting in the jungle. Attention towards the sounds made by the ship├óÔé¼Ôäós radar, but his eyes completely absorbed by the scene before him. For those asteroid belts greatly worried the lone mercenary, being such perfect places to hide ships and long range scanners.

But there seemed to be nothing there, except those two orbital space stations around the planet. It was a tad weird to see such poor naval defences stationed around Korriban, but it didn├óÔé¼Ôäót matter. His work was not complete. Feinting the attention of those two space stations was no easy feat, but with care and patience it was done. The planet was not heavily guarded, but Kandar had no reason to believe a scan of the planet was a good idea. He would have to go down to the surface and make his own reconnaissance.

For some reason Synn was drawn to the Valley of the Dark Lords location, almost as if something beckoned from within. A confused, yet inquisitive look was plastered on his face as he descended upon it. With weapon in hand he pressed the button to lower the ramp, and even as it descended he was already going outside. The wind brought sand and hot air to his face, those gravely grains of dust marring his beard and hair. But he did not falter, the darkness in his soul now guided his steps.

The moment he saw that dark figure in the horizon, his mind froze. He had always heard of the ghosts that haunted the planet of Korriban, and for a split second he actually assumed it to be one. But the rational side of his brain quickly took over, sending him into an alerted state. With weapon drawn and raised towards the figure looming in the distance, he carefully approached. His feet lightly touched the ground beneath, trying to make as little sound as they could. It was a good thing that the wind was picking up, swirling and swishing through the atmosphere. It brought chills down the mercenary├óÔé¼Ôäós spine.

├óÔé¼┼ôI just don├óÔé¼Ôäót understand what a Sith is doing out here all alone. Your partners don├óÔé¼Ôäót like to play with you or something? Come on...You can talk to me...├óÔé¼┬Ø

Re: Valley of the Dark Lords

Oh my apologies but were you needing that at all? Now that we have that out of the way perhaps we can continue our little conversation like civilized men. If you would like to know what I am doing out here was researching the ancient tombs of old sith Lords trying to find what ever knowledge I can on the darkside. As for my partners they had other things to be doing at this time and so i was left behind. Now tell me what brings a traveler like you out here to Korriban or even the valley of the dark lords are you searching for ancient knowledge as I am or was there something else you wished to gain from coming out here?

├óÔé¼┼ôTombs? This is a graveyard?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhy would I want to learn about your ancient knowledge, Sith? That├óÔé¼Ôäós for fallen Jedi, I know nothing of your sick religion.├óÔé¼┬Ø A ├óÔé¼┼ôWhy are we even talking partner? I thought you Sith killed first and asked questions later... This is not how I pictured my first time... People these days know nothing about romance...├óÔé¼┬Ø

Re: Valley of the Dark Lords

I can see it on your face and hear it in your words you don't seem to know much about the sith at all. Let me be the first to educate you on what I really am. First off as you see we are on Korriban ancient home of the sith who back in ancient times was a race of sentient beings that basically thrived off of the darkside of the force like most creatures on this planet. The sith as they were once known are basically no more having become basically extinct but their teachings live on all that they had learned about the darkside. This is where I come in the sith of today is nothing more than a collection of many species who practice the use of the darkside of the force. Yes it is true as you had stated most sith were known for killing first and asking questions later but that was them just following the basic fundamentals of the darkside.

You see what is known as the darkside of the force is really just another way to harness the mystical energy that is known as the force. Yes most people who use the darkside to become vastly corrupted by this power and so as you know us begin mass killings an conquests to take over the galaxy. Of course some sith had been very contempt with just gaining personal power in other words just gaining more knowledge of the force and becoming stronger through that. These sith are usually never as well known as the great conquerors are but they are usually just as powerful and so that my friend is what I truly am a darksider a sith.

├óÔé¼┼ôOk...├óÔé¼┬Ø ├óÔé¼┼ôI still don├óÔé¼Ôäót understand how that would affect me, but sure.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôThis is all well and good partner, but what the heck do you want from me? You wouldn├óÔé¼Ôäót be lecturing me unless you wanted something, would you?├óÔé¼┬Ø

Re: Valley of the Dark Lords

How this effects you well I sense an amount of force sensitivity in you and so you to are capable of wielding this power that I have. Therefore one day you will have to make a choice and so with this knowledge I give you the ability to make a better choice that suits you. For now why I am even talking to you is because as I said I am stranded here and you have a ship and I am in need of one and just don't feel like taking yours from you.

You can call me Specter or Darth Specter if you really want to get all formal with the titles and everything. Also I may not have much to pay for your...kindness but I can offer to share my knowledge with you on the force and its many mysteries. As for where I am going I do believe my friends had gone to Dromuund Kaas though I am in no hurry to get there I just mostly wanted to get off this rock.

"Scanners?"

=Roarchen Alpha=
"Nothing sir."

"No life at all. Strange. Was there not a cult before?"

=Roarchen Alpha=
"Not a damn thing. We have the location of the tomb, sir. Perhaps they cleared it, and went inside?"

"A possibility. Drop the speeder. I'll handle this alone."

=Roarchen Alpha=
"Understood. Deploying speeders now. We'll take care of anything that heads your way."

"Sith. Strong ones."

"I thought as much. I could not sense them with the force either."

"I agree. The question is who brought that kind of power here. It was not so when last I visited."

"Necromancy."

"Better idea?"

"She looked close enough to human, Roarshen."

"I want you out here. I need over watch on that opening while I tear the answers from their souls."

"In battle here I proved you weak,
your meager frame will provide the answers I seek.
From the river to hell I pull you from,
opens your eyes and answer me now."

"Who sent you?"

"Caldera of the Sword."

"Phantasmagoria? The ghost blade?"

"BLAIVE! I summon thee and the blade you possess! Answer the call of your master!"

~You left me here.....now take me back.....~

"So be it."
