*Veran is still pacing, trying to decide whether it is best to notify the headmasters on Corellia about what has happened with Aeran now or wait and hope that he comes back of his own accord before she needs to do so, when she hears the knocking at the door.

*Even though she knows its illogical to think that Aeran would be returning already, much less knocking on the door, Veran, still dressed for her morning run, jogs to the door hopefully all the same. Opening it and then looking down at the sheriffs she had met, Veran tries to keep her sense of disappointment out of her tone and expression as she manages a smile and says,* "Marisol and Crevor, right? *Motioning for them to come inside, Veran steps back as, assuming this is another social call and steeling herself for enduring it, she asks,* What brings the two of you here this morning?"*

**Accepting the list from Mairsile, Veran begins to look at it but looks back at the Bimm when she says that they are also here about something she and Aeran might be able to help with. Arching an eyebrow inquisitively, Veran listens to the summary that the sheriff gives, wondering if she should feel bad that it actually lifts her spirits to have something to do that will be a way to keep her mind off the situation with Aeran and something to make her feel useful after the initially uneventful start to her stay here on Bimmisaarai.

Nodding when Mairsile has finished speaking, Veran says,* "That's why I'm here. To help keep the peace. Of course I'm in. Where is the crew now? I might be able to get something out of them."*

*Veran doesn't need to think too long before answering, "Probably best to question them aboard the ship," since she is pretty sure that the Bimms probably don't even have anywhere to hold prisoners and it will be more convenient to have them in Republic custody given that they will probably be transported elsewhere to be tried for their crimes.

*Since she is still dressed in her running clothes, Veran excuses herself for a moment to change into her Jedi attire and, after quickly doing so, returns and then suggests,* "Why don't we take my ship up to the Republic vessel? Do we need to contact them to let them know to expect us, or have you already done that?"*

**Nodding, Veran says,* "Sounds good," *and continues on to and then through the spaceport to where her HWK-290 is docked and boards it with the Bimms.*

Once in the cockpit after finding her LE-series repair droid, which will be acting as the pilot since Veran is not yet fully flight trained, Veran asks Mairsile to give the droid the comm frequency to contact the Republic ship where the smugglers are being held and, once they have received their flight plan, has the droid take them up and into .*
