Re: Above the Planet

*I continue to inspect the system before us as Veral replies to my question, but glance at him when he mentions the advice to wear his helmet at all times.*

Well, things might get a bit interesting then, I suppose that'll be due to the renowned Falleen pheromones. Fortunately, I have ways of filtering the air I breath. Alright, well if they're expecting you, we shouldn't keep them waiting.

*I power up the sublight engines and set a course for the planet Falleen. Then I check the shields and weapons systems, the palace wasn't in lock down for nothing. Finding everything satisfactory, I rise and head back towards the the ladder and climb down it, I call back up the hatch way to Veral, before continuing down the corridor to my room.*

It'll be about an hour and half before we arrive at the palace, be ready to roll in an hour. The local populace might not be real pleased with our arrival.

*Non-Com enters his room and walks over to an aquarium running the length of one wall, and scoops some of the algae off the top of the water, and mushed it together breaking up the clumps of single celled organisms. Then he spread the moist paste over each nostril and along his lips. As it dried it would become rubbery, and stretch if he opened his mouth just enough for him to talk, though the speech would be garbled. The algae would filter the air he breathed better than most air scrubbers, though it would only work so long as the algae was alive, usually about 4 hours on temperate worlds, though regular application of water could extend their life to almost 6 hours.*

Re: Above the Planet

*Ludo's ship arrives in Orbit, waiting for Stanley to arrive. As he waits, he goes to the banquet hall and prepares a feast. He has the table served and sets five place settings. He does not wait too long however, shortly after arriving Stanley's ship comes out of hyperspace on the opposite side of the planet. Stanley begins piloting toward the ship and docks.*

Re: Above the Planet

*A green and black transport exits hyperspace, sliding into orbit. The transport's owner is a Rodian crime boss, known as Animal for his unique "decor."* *Animal nods to his pilot, a lady Rodian. She activates a beacon, a predetermined signal. She let's it pulse for four seconds, waits ten, and broadcasts is again for another four.*

*A droid leads Animal to the banquet hall. I table lay spread before the Rodian with delicacies from may worlds. The host sits at the head of the table and does not rise when they enter the room.*

Re: Above the Planet

*The highly tattooed and pierced Rodian crime lord sits down, pouring himself a stiff drink before grabbing some food. He takes a bite of the most expensive thing he recognizes, then deliberately talks with his mouth full as if to show contempt for the meal.* I'm a business man. I'm not much on banquets and small talk. Let's get to business.

Re: Above the Planet

*Ludo smiles at the Rodian's attempt at contempt. The fool always tries to make himself appear greater than he was. He always tried to get involved in things that were out of his control. Ludo did not care whether his guest enjoyed his meal. Although he had his own agenda, he always desired to be courteous and show hospitality to those who he summoned.*
IC: As you wish.*
*Suddenly the table they are eating on starts glowing with a faint blue light and soon a hologram of the entire galaxy fills the room.*
IC: Tell me, animal, can you find Iskaayuma on this map?*

*The Rodian crime boss stopped chewing as the galaxy appeared.* Of course not. I'm a merchant, not a droid.

Re: Above the Planet

*Ludo causes the map to zoom in on the planet Rodia.*IC: That is because you do not understand how to control the map, like I do. I have much wider sight than you. But that is how it should be. Not everyone is cut out to see the big picture. You must understand, the galaxy is a giant game, and everything is but a pawn in this game, even you. I, however, am one of the players. Now, do you know a certain resident of Iskaayuma named Shiar Throndec?*

Re: Above the Planet

*Animal did not care. He knew he was a pawn, but he was a pawn with pawns of his own. He didn't want the galaxy. What he wanted a smaller piece. He didn't play games. He saw no immediate profit in it.* Of course I know who she is. I know everything of money-making potential in my city.

Re: Above the Planet

*Ludo causes the map to focus on the space station in orbit around Rodia.*
IC: She has left Rodia and has taken her pet with her. Because of this, I need you to take Ms. Ikova here, *He gestures toward the girl.* and hide her on the cube. You may face a little resistance from some droids when you take the station, but it is an essential part of my plans. Furthermore, I have another mission for your men. *The image on the map changes to show the planet Chandrilla.* This is Ms. Ikova's home world. I know you have a man in the protector's brigade. I need you to order him to bring his men to Chandrilla and launch a small assault on the capitol city, in particular they need to attack the nobles. Our new ally in the senate is weak. I need to strengthen his resolve. Kill his wife and ransack his home. Do you understand?*

Re: Above the Planet

*The tatooed Rodian was surprised by the amount of information the Umbaran had, especially about his man in Protector's Brigade.* How do you...? *Animal shook his head to clear it.* You know what, it doesn't matter. What does matter is what's in it for us?

*Animal took another large gulp of expensive liquor.* What makes you think I need your help to get it?

Re: Above the Planet

IC: I never said that you did, just that I can guarantee your success. If you think you can achieve your goals without me, you are welcome to do so, but my help will make your endeavors that much easier.*
*Suddenly, the map shifts its view.*
IC: That fool, what is he thinking? He will only get himself killed.*
*He turns to animal.*
IC: Pardon me, it seems a crisis is in the making and I am needed elsewhere.*
*Ludo stands up and prepares to leave.*

Re: Above the Planet

*The decorated Rodian rolls his eyes. Empty promises and fancy words never impressed the crime lord.* Yeah, whatever. *He returned to disrespectfully eating the gourmet food.*
