Re: Open Terrain

*Having missed his second attempt to kill the phantasm, he was struck by an energy that threw him in the air. There a loud splintering crash as he burst through the ceiling and fell back down, landing painfully in front of the creature.

Snapping out of his rage state, he looked up at the phantom's form, confused.

I hurt, you're fine, and the house's wrecked more than it already was.............. That sucks.

He went limp as he fell unconscious, unable to sustain himself anymore.*

Which is exactly why you must refine control and place it over blind lust. Find me again when you feel called to.

*Waking up several hours later the boy dragged himself across the floor, too weak to stand on his own. Working his way to the wall, he grabbed hold of a window and pulled himself up, leaning against the wall to avoid falling.

Slowly making his way to the door, he repeated the words the apparition had said before he'd passed out.

Refine control over the blood lust. Control, must learn control. Control the blood lust and become stronger, refine my control.

Stumbling out of the house, he took a few steps before falling to the ground and loosing consciousness again.*

Re: Open Terrain

*The Fury-class drops low to the ground tearing up dust as it races past. I sit at the controls of my starfighter and begin slowing it down. A presence, a dark one at that, has draw my eye. Its power I can sense is strong but has been severly weakened, something has drained it of most of its life. I know this is an opportunity I can not afford to pass up. I came to assimilate warriors to my cause but perhaps one powerful one could be of more use. I hit my controls and change course. Breaking below the sound barrier I draw closer. Seconds past before I stop the fighter and land softly. I can sense him near, yes, as my cockpit opens I can smell him. Using my keen sense of smell I find him laying in the dirt. Kneeling I grab his shoulder and speak in an almost fatherly tone.*
What has happened to you?

Re: Open Terrain

*Coming awake at a touch, the half-dead Iridonian jerked in fear, sure that his parents had come to punish him for some slight mistake he'd made during his last training session, settling down as he heard a calm, but unfamiliar, voice. As his breathing slowed and his mind calmed, memories of the days events began to reassemble within his head causing him to laugh.*

I'm finally free of them!

*Forcing himself to sober enough to answer the question posed by the soothing voice, the young tried his best to explain without admitting to something he could be killed for. Admittedly lying was not his strong suit, but deception was also a part of battle, and so he could use it when needed.*

My family is all dead, I awoke tonight to find them so. After going through the house and finding all corpses, I was attacked by an invisible......... thing that called himself a sith, I was out classed. He left me here to either live or die on my own.

*Falling silent the slight man did his best to stay conscious.*

Re: Open Terrain

*I listen to the boy, the story is similar to mine. I lost my family to the brutality of the Jedi. The sith were a brutal organization but if this man's family was Jedi, then they deserved to die. I pull a small bacta tank off my belt and pass it to the Zabrak. My voice is less fatherly now and has taken a more emotionless tone. I smirk cruelly under my mask as I speak.*
Drink this, it shall help you recover. Tell me, what is your name?
*I carry three lightsabers on my belt, but only one would have been revealed from under my cloak when I reached for the bacta. My muscular build probably overshadowing Terron, though my height is notably shorter than most at only 170 centimeters.*

Re: Open Terrain

*His now weak arms struggling to take the flask like thing, Terron had to fight not to spill any as he brought it to his lips to draw deeply, taking as much as he could into his body at once. As the liquid flowed down his throat he noticed something hanging from the strange mans belt.

Curious, he swallowed and removed the tank from his lips, breathing deeply the boy answered hoping he wouldn't be found out.

Terron, my name is......sir.

Licking his lips the Irridonian looked back at the strange thing hanging from the mans belt.*

What is that? I've never seen anything like it.......

*Terron, I say it over and over in my mind. Interesting. I reach behind my back and pull out a lightsaber, a much simpler hilt. I pass it to Terron, and take hold of his shoulder. I stand up, lifting the boy up onto his feet.*
It is a lightsaber, have you never heard of such a instrument. One of death?

*Taking the lightsaber in his hands, the boy was dragged up onto his feet too absorbed in studying the strange new weapon. Looking up as the man spoke, the young Irridonian shook his head, curious as to the weapons nature.

Instruments of death I know, this I've never heard of. How does it work?*A cruel smile lit his features,* How does it kill?*

Re: Open Terrain

*I study the boys intent to learn, and his a suspicion of his blood lust has been revealed. I realise I may have found something better than any army, an apprentice. I take hold of the lightsaber Terron is holding and slide his hand up with my other one. I move his thumb over the ignition button and point it sideways from me.*
Much like a sword, but unlike a sword it has many advantages that they do not have.
*I force Terron's thumb to slide up and ignite the lightsaber. A yellow beam of plasma explodes out the end. With my right hand holding the lightsaber I know Terron can't strike out at me, my superior strength would make sure of that.*
How does it kill? Rather simply it disintergrates all it touches like such.
*I twist the lightsaber around in a sort of swing, Terron would be whipped around violently but not enough to make him lose balance. The lightsaber slices through a stone and the molten edge slides off the top and hits the ground with a thump.*
If you follow me, you too could create your own. A lightsaber is the symbol of the force user, Jedi and Sith alike, and you have the ability to be a great one.

Re: Open Terrain

*Watching as his hand is moved around by the person who'd saved him, Terron was captivated by the mans words. This lightsaber was like a sword, but had advantages over one? He almost couldn't comprehend the idea, that is until it was activated and the yellow glow burst from the hilt. His thoughts were consumed by this new weapon, and the man who introduced him to it.

Turning with the man as he was spun around the young was amazed to see the "blade" not slice, but melt a stone in two. The implications of such a weapon filled his mind, until the man told him he could quite possibly have his own lightsaber.

Looking up at the man before him, he nodded his head, voicing a question at the same time.*

Yes, I will follow you.....but are you a Sith like the one I met earlier, or a...... Jedi?

*Though one had nearly killed him, he hoped that this was one of the Sith his brother had mentioned, if it was he was surely on the path they had intended to go together. With the added bonus of being rid of the weak little prince of the house, too bad he hadn't killed him along with the rest of his family.

And that was something else, if this man was Sith, he probably wouldn't have to keep lying about how his family dies.*

Re: Open Terrain

*I am almost disgusted at the boy for even suggesting I am a Jedi but I forgive his ignorance, for now. I am not hard and only brutal when I have something to gain. Sic vis pacem, para bellum; If you want peace, prepare for war. I live by it, but most wars are won before they even start. Look at Palpatine. That being said, I release the lightsaber and step back.*
The Jedi are weak, their minds clouded by doctrine they misinterpret, even at times on purpose. Yes, in a way, yes, I am a Sith. Most wouldnt call me a Sith at all, but in reality I am more Sith than them all. Everything must be used for the purpose of moving forward. I can smell death lingering here, which makes me wonder, did you love your family?

Re: Open Terrain

*Watching as the man steps back, Terron moves the blade experimentally checking the weight and heft. Smiling as his beliefs were confirmed, he knew nothing of the Jedi but what he knew of the Sith said he'd like them........ and he liked the man standing before him. Considering his answer, the boy crouched facing a large rock, holding the lightsaber pointed behind him.

Moving swiftly, the youth launched himself at the rock, kicking himself up over it after a few steps. Arching through the air he lashed out at the outcropping, the lightsabers blade flashing as it bit into the boulder again and again. Twisting around he landed back in a crouch, the blade pointed off to his side. Standing and moving back to the possible Sith, he ignored the sound the ten pieces of rock made as they fell from their original position.

I hoped I was right about you being a Sith, but I don't know enough of the Jedi to tell the difference, yet. No, I hold no love for my family...... otherwise I might not have killed them. Sorry I lied before, couldn't be sure how you'd act, thought you might have tried to turn me in or something.

Thumbing the activation switch, he turned the blade off and held it out to his new master.*

If you are more Sith than them all, then I'll just have to become greater than you...... Master.

Re: Open Terrain

*I smirk as he shows me his skill with the unknown blade. The Iridonian warrior culture has prepared him to use any weapon available and with skill. I use the force to pull my lightsaber to me deactivating it mid-flight. I reach under my cloak and replace it on my lower back. I have my first apprentice, and it's time for the first lesson.*
Why would you not love your family? Brutality isn't always hate but also love. Love is passion and passion is what drives us onward. Passion for power, the passion for knowledge in which to achieve this, and passion for wisdom in which to direct your power. It is wiser to use every emotion, even love which is one of the most powerful. Love is so easily able to he lead to anger and hate. The rage within allows a greater access to the darkside. I believe it's time to leave for a place called Malachor V. I discover the place of the darkside in coursanti Jedi texts, and is a known planet of the darkside. Follow me there, find a way, if you pilot do it. Consider it a test of your willingness to gain power.
*I turn away from Terron and head toward my starfighter. I force jump and land on the cockpit, slipping purposely I slide into the seat designed to fit and be comfortable for the Noghri. I take in the air around me before looking at Terron once more. If he didn't speak I would close the cockpit, start the engines and take off. Pushing the engines to their limit I would break the atmosphere with an explosion of air.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Listening to his new master, he wondered if he had ever loved his family........ Nope. The torture and humiliation they put him through had killed any possibility of love for them. Hearing his master speak of some world known as Malachor V, the young bowed his head in ascent at the order to find his own way. Standing as his lord leapt into his ship, Terron said the all he had to of his family and love.*

Love may be useful and I may feel it one day, but those I slaughtered this night beat and tortured me daily. Not to teach or show me I was wrong, they did it because they enjoyed it. And my brother, the only family I didn't kill, left me for dead.

*He stepped back and bowed,*

I will see you on Malachor V, My Lord.

*Turning as his masters ship took off he went to see if his brother had taken the ship as they had planned, his bag of blades back where it belonged on his back.*

Cutlass - Outside Malidris

*The yorik-vec currently serving as an arc for Uzas and Saariza zoomed over the harsh landscape of the planet. Desert winds buffeted the living ship with acidic sand, causing some partial staining and erosion of its outer shell. Nothing that wouldn't be fixed with a continued diet of minerals, which the ship could feast upon once it set down. As the parked Carrack-class light cruiser came into view, the Intendant pointed out the main view spider with a clawed finger, attempting to draw his companions attention to the pirate ship currently serving as the Bloodrage pirates mobile headquarters.*

"That must be it." *He scowled.* "Just the sight of it offends my senses. How Nem could stand to be aboard such a thing for an extended period of time is beyond my understanding. The very thought sickens me."

*Like most Yuuzhan Vong, Uzas felt a deep and powerful prejudice against anything artificial. Whether it was the religious zeal bred into him from his earliest years, or perhaps something more biological, the Intendant hated mechanical machines. Their very existence was a slight against the Yun'o.* *He muttered a prayer to Yun-Harla while he prepared the gunship for descent.*

*Dovin basals eased the vessel down onto the sand, roughly two hundred feet from where the Cutlass was parked. The pirate ship was positioned between the yorik-vec and the city, hopefully keeping them out of easy sight from the city.* *They didn't have reason to hide, but it paid to be careful.* *Once the ship was settled, Uzas removed his cognition hood and rose from his seat. He strode to the back of the ship, punching a numbered sequence into the Qahsa pad on the wall and then stepping back as a hatch-sphinter expanded, revealing the desert landscape outside. Looking around quickly, the Intendant spotted a robeskin cloak on the nearby wall. He plucked it free and tossed it to Saariza.*

"Cover up."

Re: Open Terrain

*Saariza scowled as the craft came into sight, not looking forward to having to stay on it any more than Uzas.* "It is an abomination and proof of the infidel's inferiority; I am ashamed that I once relied on such blasphemies..." *Taking the robeskin, the shaped Nagai donned the clothing and followed Uzas out onto the barren terrain of Iridonia. As the harsh wind hit her she reconsidered her plans to finally unfurl her wings after so long, deciding instead to do so once they escaped the buffeting gales outside of the city. Following the Intendant, she surveyed their surroundings as she forced herself to stand tall and upright against the fierce gusts, thrown sand mildly abrading her exposed bits of skin as she walked.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Uzas raised a hand to his face, trying to squint through the blown sand and bright sunlight. Just as Saariza, he too was feeling equal discomfort in regards to the environment, though he would never express so out loud.* *The Yuuzhan Vong were a hard people who learned to embrace pain rather than shun it. What was a mild discomfort compared to that? Still, it was irritating.* *He motioned for his companion to follow him as he crossed the space between their ship and the Cutlass. As they drew near, he spotted a group of approaching figures in the distance. There were four of them: one thin and tall, another averaged height and muscular, and the other two short and stocky. It wasn't until they came within a hundred yards that Uzas was able to make them out for what they really were.*

*Yuuzhan Vong! Nem must have met the shaper he was supposed to contact on Iridonia. The other two figures were clearly slayers, possessing similar bodily traits to that of the shaped nagai, though different in their own right for having once been actual Yuuzhan Vong.* *Uzas extended an arm, pointing towards the approach group of four with a long clawed index finger.*

"That's them. The one on the left is the master shaper I spoke of, and the other is Nem Yin, head of my domain. The two slayers must belong to the shaper."

*He paused, considering heading out to meet them and introduce Saariza, then thought better of it. Turning around to face the woman, he flashed her a knowing grin and shrugged his shoulders.*

"My jobs done. Introduce yourself, do as they say, and you may find your place among our kind. I'm heading back to Tur Yenagh." *He bowed his head.* "May the Yun'o smile upon you, Saariza Storo."

*And with that Uzas left the woman where she was and headed back to his ship.*

Open Terrain/Malidris: Outskirts

*The Jate'kara flies into view of the Carrack-class Light Cruiser known as the Cutlass. He circles the Jate'kara around the Cutlass to get at better look of the vessel below he brings his ship in front of the massive vessel where the cargo bay doors are located. The doors slowly began to open within the Cutlass and the Jate'kara flies inside the vessel. Upon entering the Cutlass, it was already filled with other small ships which probably belong to other members of the crew. Kraval sees a small area within the ship's hull where he can set his ship down and immediately does so. Once the vessel sets down, Kraval powers his ship down and goes to grab his gear. He goes to double check his gear and looks over at his beskad. He knew that part of raid on the depot was to take hostages but something drove Kraval to grab his most trusted blade for this task. He went over to grab his beskad and place it onto the back of his armor. He then put on the backpack that carried the charges then grab his A280 blaster rifle. He still had his Dissauder KD-30 and Mandalorian heavy blaster on himself sent he arrived to Iridonia. He exited the Jate'kara then made his way to the boarding ramp of the Cutlass to let himself out and walked towards the main gates of Malidris.*
