Re: Open Terrain

*Far in the hills of Ord Mantell, miles away from the outermost edge of the junkyard of Ord Mantell, Tanner sat near the fireplace in his cabin, where he had originally staged the coup of Mark, during the Liberation of Ord Mantell. He sighed as he warmed his hands. It was deep winter, and ice was common in the northern regions, where he had decided to build the bloody thing. He cursed his bad luck at coming here so late in the year, but he had grown tired of Droids...well...the ones that killed people just to show their power...He knew that not every droid was bad or even 'evil.'
He sighed deeply, cooking a nice juicy Bantha steak over the stove. As the power cell shot energy through the stove, the metal pan sizzled, and the smoke rose to his nostrils.
At least everything about his lonely hideaway was bad. The food was good, and he had a nice surplus. He had long prepared for an extended stay here....With two deep freezers full of food, he could stay here a while without being detected.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Tanner donned his overcoat and scarf and walked outside of his cabin, keeping his hands in his pockets so they would not freeze. Snow had fallen last night, and he could see the red in it, metaphorically speaking. People had died during the night, but it hardly mattered. He was cut off, one man. He could do nothing. He had no way to communicate with the outside world. The droids would kill him if they saw him, after threatening them after they killed a child.
He could not even begin to think about what the people thought of him...
Tanner walked silently around his cabin, using the force to dust the snow off of the roof, one of the only exercises he had left to do around here. Sure there were other things, but those could wait. He wanted to go to the Scrapyard, but that was monitored by the droids, the precious scrap metal in it being used to make more of their ilk.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Tanner slammed his fist down on the table where he sat. His conscious had been bothering him for weeks now, at his abandonment of his people. He should not let this stand. He should fight! He sighed. He was only one person, and had no army this time, no ragtag group of rebels to go up against the droids. There he sat, thinking...
After an hour or so, Tanner nearly smacked himself for being so stupid. He could not believe he had not thought of it before. Was he so blinded by anger at his enemies that he forgot he had an ally!? He stood up, taking his leave of the cabin, and heading towards the Scrapyard.*

*The Utnapishtim flew downwards toward the planet's surface, but remained skyward as Garwig continued to pilot it. Checking the various systems and scanners in the cockpit, Garwig saw that the scrapyard was a few miles away. After setting it in the right direction, Garwig had his HWK-290 head towards the scrapyard.*

*The MMP continues to mine the depths of Ord Mantell. The mine is inspected and repairs are made as needed and a new coat of polymer is applied to keep the droids and other machinery from corroding. The workers are given a four day weekend in honor of the late Lord Cygnus.*

Re: Open Terrain

*A MMine MMP sits quiet and unmoving, except for the occasional cargo shuttle. Unobserved beneath the MMP the mine continues as it has for years now. Droids delving deep beneath the surface for raw materials to be smelted and poured into ingots, while the mando crew keeps things running smoothly by shoring up weak tunnels, planning new tunnels, and collapsing old ones.*

Re: Open Terrain

*The Foreman of MMine's MMP looks over the mine's records and sees that the vein beneath the MMP is being depleted and orders the filling of all unused tunnels and shafts. The droids continue to pull ore from the shrinking vein. The Foreman begins scouring the Ord Mantell's geological data for potential new mine sites and sends a team to gather samples from some of the more promising sites.*

Re: Open Terrain

*The last of the tunnels and shafts are filled in and the drones packed the last of the ore into storage. The Foreman sealed the MMP and started up it's repulsor engines and checked to make sure that all the staff were on board. Having found a suitable place to relocate the MMP to, and now that the little ore that remained here wasn't worth he energy necessary to retrieve it, it was time to move to a new location. The MMP rose to 400m above the surface from whence it floated to it's new location. Once it had arrived the MMP settled down onto the surface again and the Foreman took several Vode to scout the immediate surroundings while the drones began digging out the new mine.*
