Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Greetings RPers of Rhommamool,

It has come to my attention that no one has posted on this planet in roughly 2 weeks, or at least that will be the case if no one has posted by tomorrow. So I was wondering if your RP team had abandoned the planet or not. If you have, the NOE would like to swoop in a claim the world. If you haven't, perhaps you would be interested in a treaty that myself(NOE) and Sith'ari Grizz(Grand Sith Imperium) are working on that would essentially work towards the common good of all the Sith who call the Expansion Region home.

Good to see you Sel. We've got about an 11 hour wait for them to respond before we can move forwards.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Save it for when we go ground side. Right now all we need to do is worry about the claim and whether or not it will be challenged. If it is, I've got a peace treaty for them to sign since preferably I don't want to have to babysit another planet and they are already Sith anyways.

But failure to reply or accept the treaty results in cracking down hard. Minus Osarian, it will be a pretty straight line of Sith controlled Expansion Region planets. RO has Iktotch, ISO has Gyndine. M'haeli, Nkllon, Shili, and Vandelhelm are NOE. And Kinyen and Tynna are GSI...who are also signing a treaty with us right now. All in all it is looking pretty good as far as Sith control of the region is concerned. It's a bad day to be a Jedi.

Edit: Lol, edited before I finished my message :P

Didnt want to "OOO OOPS I forgot they were there" when its time to invade... IF lol...

and nice on the regional controll... We should still try to keep taking the Western rim though.... I dont believe there is such a great majority of power holdings in the W rim like the Eye.

Sweet. How about we mop this up this weekend and follow through by striking whatever target is next on the list?

Are these Jedi targets?

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Lets take them now then. I have a heavy in orbit around Tynna, and a starfighter stationed in orbit here....but the rest of my fleet is free to play. I was saving it for backup just in case we needed to duke it out here, but I can still send a starfighter squadron or two.

We still have three hours to go. Once the time expires, we'll organize how we're moving in. I want to take the station if no one objects, I don't really care how the rest of the world gets conquered.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Pillage my station will you!?! lol just bugging you =). No in all seriousness I respect the fact that you went about this the way you did. I know of a few people that probably wouldn't have done it so nicely. I respect that in fellow RPers. I myself would like to think I am and have been a fairly respectable RPer. I mean I hardly ever leave Rhomm which is kinda sad, but still. Hopefully most of the original Osarian crew could say they would RP with me again at some point. I know I can say, personally, that even though our 1.0 Universe Operation: CRIMSON SKIES kinda went south from what we planned, I'd RP with each and every fellow RPer from the Original O-Team.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Meh, it happens.

I can't even begin to think of the number of RP's I've been in that have fallen through because there was either a lack of interest or real life stuff got in the way. If you are ever looking for RP, I'm sure we could hook you up.

I remember the Crimson Skies usergroup on Facebook. My last character(Endor) was working for Jamie Green's character at the time on Tynna. I never ended up getting involved but I still remember seeing that and thinking about what it was.

Part of what has always interested me was the FPA in orbit. Technically that is something that could only be used for Closed RP scenario's, but I think it's still cool that Rhommamool has the equivalent to the Death Star waiting in their orbit. Back in 1.0. when we were called the Council of the Eye, we were the group that owned the Death Star.

I miss that thing. As the JvS Sith Mafia of sorts, the NOE likes big intimidating killing machines. I plan on building a giant station in Tynna's orbit since I'm one of the worlds moderators. It will be closed RP as well but I can already imagine what kind of stories could be cooked up revolving around it.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Similar to the Death Star, yes. As powerful as....depends. It all depends on how the FPA is used. In a purely offensive role, it serves as a refit/repair station for up to four medium class vessels, seven or eight small class vessels and two heavy/large class vessels. And as a in the offensive role, it serves almost as a fleet in and of itself. The four ASC (Anti-Ship Cannons) are extremely powerful against any sort of Capital Class Vessels. The AS Cannons use do not use new and modern technology to break apart energy shields, instead it relies on slug propelled technology and sheer kinetic force to smash into the shields of a ship and wear it down. This, in turn proves to be a better solution to easily breaking through shields. It applies brute force onto the shield, causing it to overload faster. Then, depending on how modified the shields have been, the remaining kinetic force behind it should usually cause the ASC round punch straight through the ship, leaving a jagged, gaping hole. And if the ASC isn't enough then the Ion, Turbolaser, Plasma, Pulse Laser and any other type of turret there is in the SW universe is left for you to contend with, as well as the FPA's fighter support. So it's very valuable...but as you have stated it is only for closed Plots and if anyone actually decided to take the planet. Then you have to deal with that and the Firestar Orbital Defense Platforms. So taking Rhommamool, when every one is on would be a challenge. Don't you agree?

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

It certainly sounds as though it would be. At the same time however, it also sounds like one heck of an entertaining Role Play Scenario.

I find that the best RP's I've been involved in are when the odds are stacked against your character and you're put in a circumstance you might not be entirely comfortable with. For instance, recently my character was involved in a crash landing on Shili that left him gravely wounded. Not more than a few minutes after, a Dark Sider of exceptional ability attacked him due to a case of mistaken identity. Wounded and weak, it seemed clear that Dragus was not the superior fighter in this case. However, as luck would have it he came out on top, murdered the Dark Sider, and made it through the scenario even though biological weapons were dropped on the entire area.

I was under the impression that death was a certainty, but then, time has shown the longevity this particular character seems to posses. What you just described sounds rather exciting as far as a new RP prospect is concerned. If the challenge is too easy, it's boring. Or so I have found.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

I agree. Which is why I have been bored writing on Rhommamool. It's just between me a few other Character Profiles I have and a few NPC's. This internal struggle is something I put in to fill in the gap until Kalen came back on again so we could RP together. But to no avail. I am still stuck in this massive RP Void. But part of me is afraid of losing Rhommamool. It has been Sav's, Kalen's and Amaris' home for so long, something that is a great achievement of a small group of extraordinarily great writers managed to accomplish, uphold and maintain. We had/still kind of have a certain, specific style of writing. I want to bring in more RP Scenarios and more RPers that will hopefully adhere to The R-Team style. People who will uphold traditions, set an example and write extraordinary plots and story lines without succumbing to the scourge of Out Of Character Comments on the board and who will not abuse being an experienced/novice RPer with special privileges. Some of the RPers nowadays abuse certain rights and regulations of this RPing forum like a small mischievous boy who found his father's somewhat well hidden .22. But um no such luck. I have been stuck in the void of well and RPing void. I want to remain tied to the Triumvirate and want Rhommamool to flourish....but I don't know how much longer I can do this. Hopefully part of a side plot with Iridonia will pan out and bring in more prospects. But other then that....I don't know how much longer Rhomm will remain under Triumvirate control.

Re: IC disputes Settled OOC

Now see, what if I could avail such a concern and make sure that Rhommamool remains under the Tyrian Triumvirates control, even if that only means you at the time?

It was the Rhommamool's approach to RPing that originally gave me the idea for forming Tynna's creative writing team that eventually earned us a platinum level rating(the highest rating level). I saw how you and your team collaborated even though IC your characters might have been working against each other. It was something I hadn't seen up until that point, and it was that team work that went beyond IC desires that set me to work on increasing the rating levels of the planets I RPed on.

So I suppose I feel that I owe Rhommamool something because of that. Lol, that might be the beer talking right now, but it could be that I appreciate the ideals your group held as well. That said....lets talk about what we can do for each other IC.

Right now this is what the Expansion Region looks like.

Contruum = Imperial Alliance
Dorin = The New Republic
Gyndine = Imperial Sith Alliance
Iktotch = The Ronove Order
Kinyen = Grand Sith Imperium
M'haeli = The New Order of the Eye
Nkllon = The New Order of the Eye
Osarian = Osarian Jedi Enclave
Rhommamool = The Tyrian Triumvirate
Shili = The New Order of the Eye
Tynna = Grand Sith Imperium
Vandelhelm = The New Order of the Eye

Now obviously my group extends further than this region and all together I think we hold about twenty planets of our own, but for myself personally, the Expansion Region has really been the only thing I've been concerned about. I control other important cannon locations like Ylesia and Onderon/Dxun as well, but again, that isn't what I'm focusing on right now.

IC Grizz just agreed to a treaty between the NOE and GSI which means that we control half the planet in the region(6 of 12). Behind the scenes we've joined a Sith Council that will add several other major Sith groups to a unified assembly. Besides that, the Ronove Order and NOE have been very good friends since back in 1.0....so technically all but Osarian and Dorin are Sith territories. And if all goes according to plan Dorin won't be a problem anymore either.

Anywho, the point of all this is that I'd like to work out a deal(maybe the treaty my NPC mentioned) where we are all working together. Grizz and the GSI already agreed to it, and even if you can't offer much because its just you right now, it is still better than nothing. Chances are nothing would be asked of you and it would be the NOE dealing with any trouble should any ever arise(which is unlikely).

Ignoring the bigger deal behind the works, we'd have a joint agreement between just the New Order of the Eye, Grand Sith Imperium, and Tyrian Triumvirate to stand strong in our Sith dominion over the Expansion Region. From Kinyen down to Vandelhelm we'd have seven planets in between us that we know are ours.

I'm not obligated to do or offer any of this, but it would seem stupid on my part to not at least make an attempt. I would prefer Rhommamool to remain in your hands and I think between us that shouldn't be even the slightest problem.

This is actually entering into a big IC goal. Dragus and Grizz, two very powerful and well connected Sith Lords, both ultimately want to see a Sith controlled region. If you could free up Savage at all, we'd love to work something out with you IC. It might help you get over your current RP slump.
