Basic Force Powers Training Center

*Juno walks into the training room, she was still mad about her training being interupted by Kaidens Darkside trouble. She didn't like it as her father had killed her mother. She saw Kaiden and tried to smile but it didn't come.

She turns and heads out again going back to see master Py'ek. She wanted to finish what she started. And hopefully if she was alone she would get more done.*

*Snapping out of her meditation Meryn looks up, and smiles. The Jedi master was made to teach, she always wanted to, and now it was her turn once again...*Greetings Padawan*Stands up then bows*My name is Master Nelente, and I am charged with making sure padawans understand the use of the force, before they are ready to progress to their Apprenticeship. So, have you learned to control your use of force yet? Or will this be the first time?

*Kaiden pondered the question for some time, rolling it around with a mental stick, looking at all possible answers that would lead to a more sophisticated answer.*

"I have been trained, I know the force."

"Ahhh, care to enlighten me?*Points to a set up of three Metal balls. The one in the middle is a light wooden ball, wrapped to look like the other two balls. The one on the right was a heavy Durrasteel ball, and the left held a light metal copper ball, painted to appear the same. The test was to see if the boy was one who was mind over matter, not assessing the situation, which would mean he would lift all of them equily. Or he could be in touch with the force around him, this would cause him to struggle with the heavier while the wooden ball jumps up into the air.*"Simply lift them up for me, and then set them back down..." *She was intrigued, and really wanted to see this...*

*Kaiden turned, facing the three balls that were lined up across the room. He leaned his head to the left, cracking it. Then he did the same for the right. He looked around the room one time before attempting the exercise. It was rather plain, with a small cabinet that held objects to lift or pull. Returning his gaze upon the three balls, he summoned the force to his body. Calling it, asking for assistance in controlling the three small balls of various metals. The force gathered around his hands, particularly his right hand.

Kaiden raised his right hand, keeping the palm face up to the roof. He surrounded the smallest ball, the one of wood with the force and commanded it to lift. The ball raised up, slowly rising to about 2 meters in the air where it hovered there, waiting for more instruction.*

*Kaiden thought a minuete, why would he pick just one up. Setting the small ball down on the table, he drew the force around him, concentrating on lifting all three balls at once. The three small balls all lifted slowly at first, rising off the table by the force he controlled. He kept his arm outstretched as the force flowed through it, out of his open hand and into the three balls. He glanced over quickly, checking to see if the Jedi Master was actually paying attention or not.

He kept the three balls hovering into the air waiting for approval or disapproval.*

*She smiled... this was a strong one...*Go ahead and put them down for me...*waiting to make sure he put them down she smiled...*now which one was wood?

*Kaiden smiled, he like being praised. It made him push harder to become a great Jedi. He thought about the question for a moment.. Which one was wood. The three balls were visualized inside his mind.. Each one lined up perfectly.. He saw himself lift the balls up with the force, the middle one had lifted a half-second before the other two.

Kaiden pointed with his right hand, extending the pointer finger to the ball in the middle.*

"That one Master Nelente."

*Kaiden rushed out of the Center, grabbing his cloak as he ran. He needed to be there when it happened, he needed to. He rushed out, making his way quickly not even stopping for his stuff in his room...*

*Shrugs her shoulders and settles down onto a meditation mat...*"Why do they always run out on my classes?"*Enjoying her peace and quiet however, the Jedi Master focuses on the balls as well, feeling for their weight in the force, and with her minds eye, rotating them around within the cabinite. She loved the use of TK, but not as much as the joy in a young padawan's face when they first lift that ball, or when they successfully augment their speed... that was true joy, the joy of the learner.*

*Olon walks in. As he does, he notices and looks at the female Jedi (Master Nelente).*

"Hello, my name is Olon Arrak."

*He bows.*

"I am here to learn, if you wouldn't mind teaching."

*Returning the bow, the Hapan Master smiles and spreads her arms to encompass the currently unoccupied training room, which she has just finished restoring a semblance of order to after her last class, on the combat applications of telekinesis.* "Welcome, Olon. I am Master Nelente. And *she smiles warmly, hopping atop her desk and crossing her legs beneath her* I always have time to teach. Is there anything in particular you would like to focus on?"

*He thinks about it. His TK is good, as far as he could tell. He needed to work on the aspect of Control. While his meditations kept his mental self in check, he had had trouble with powers such as Force Speed.*

"Anything you would like to teach from the aspect of Control. I believe that is where I am the most inexperienced. Especially with abilities such as Force Speed. My mental control is something I work on everyday. I have yet to focus this onto my body."

*Meryn nods,* "Mental control is an important, vital part of any application of the Force, so *she smiles* the fact that you have devoted a great deal of effort into cultivating it will serve you well. *hops from her desk and brushes her blonde hair back from her forehead* Force Augmentation is, primarily, a matter of inviting the Force in, and then working with It to enhance one's own abilities. The difficulty, or potential challenge, lies in the necessity to divide one's focus. *holds up her right hand* On one hand, you need to be actively seeking to focus the Force in aiding you, *holds up her left hand* while on the other you need to be concentrating on the actual task at hand. *tilting her head to the side as she drops her hands, she smiles* Add in filtering the distractions of your surroundings, the possible stresses that a situation requiring the augmentation gives rise to, or even being engaged in battle . . . well *she laughs*you can see how challenging it can become. But *she holds up a finger* practice, of course, can bring that challenge to manageable levels. Do you have any questions before we begin?"

*After thinking for a while, Olon doesn't find a question to ask.*

*Shakes his head.*

"No."

***Tricky walks into the room. She seems delighted to seem someone,since it's been a while.***

Hello!**smiles and observes the peope in the room**

"Very well then," *Meryn says with a smile, waving her arm for the Ithorian to follow her towards the center of the spacious classroom where a reasonably large area has been left open, then nodding a welcome to the newcomer.* "You mentioned speed as an area you would like to focus on, so that seems a likely place to begin. We'll start with simple motions, reaching out to grab *she bites her thumb as she casts a glance around the room for a likely object, then grins as she raises her hand and calls a silver orb, no larger than a small fruit, to her palm* this." *Stepping back, she tosses the orb up and down as she says, her voice gradually slowing and becoming almost hypnotic as she paces,* "Start by reaching out to sense the Force around you. Feel It's currents surrounding you, washing between you and me, you and the orb. Then, open yourself to It, *Meryn tosses the orb up and telekinetically manuevers it to within arm's reach of Olon* allow It to wash through you, ask It to lend It's strength, It's power to you, to add it to your own. When you can feel it suffuse your being, reach out as quickly as you can for the orb."

*Kaiden walked into the room, his cloak trailing behind him. Upon entering the room, he shrugged out of the green training robes he had been issued and stepped forward. He bowed to the Jedi Master and spoke, his voice light..*

"Excuse me for my absence Master, I.. I was called away on a family matter."

*He hated lying to her, to everyone.. But the real reason he had been away from the academy for 4 days needed to be kept secret. No one must know, no one ever find out.. Kaiden formed a mental shield around the memories.. around the images that flickered in and out of focus in his mind. Keep them safe, protect everyone.. he thought,*

*Meryn, her attention focused on the orb she is telekinetically controlling, fails to note the slight hesitance in his otherwise light tone, and looks over to Kaiden with a smile, then shakes her head, a look of concern shading her features as she sends through the Force,* << There is no need to apologize, Kaiden. If matters required your attention, then, of course, you must see to them. I trust that all is well? >>

*As she speaks, the silver orb, it's mirror like reflective surface glinting in the rooms lights, bobs and weaves erratically, dancing in and out of reach of the Ithorian.* "Gather the Force to you, Olon, feel it coursing through you. Allow it to augment your reflexes, to strengthen the muscles of your arm, to increase the efficiency with which it operates. It will lend you the speed you require to capture the orb if you trust It to, if you trust your ability to act in concert with the Force."

*Kaiden clasped his hands in front him, smiling to her. This was always easy with him, making it seem as though his personal life was what some deemed "Ok". He simply nodded and responded to the message through the force, keeping a tight hold on the barrier holding back the images of his memories.*<< Yes Master, everything is great. I just had a run-in with a long-lost family member of mine. We caught up on some things and talked mainly. >>

*He paused momentarily, searching for something else to add upon the web of lies he was building. Shaking the thought from his mind, he decided that, that was enough for now.*<< Do you wish for me to continue my previous lesson? Or do you have something else for me. >>
