*While Anzat's sky was covered in an omnipresent aurora, most of the Anzati lived on rocky mountains that jutted up from the mists: life was sustainable below the mists, but little grew there. The planet had red bamboo and twisted trees and snow in the winter.

The spaceports were on floating platforms above the mist, and were the only places offworlders were safe, so that trade could be conducted.*
