Re: Draykon Crew

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's any IC way for you to know that the Fel Crew is in the Run. I suppose someone might have seen the Millennium Eagle and drawn conclusions?

She's got a point. Even we didn't know where we were going until we were headed there, and we didn't tell anyone else. And YT-1300's like the millenium eagle aren't exactly a rare smuggler ship.

Whoever this Nucks chick was said you guys were there, I don't have any reason to not to believe her so I just took what she said at face value.

Nothing I can do about it, she could have been lying but its not like you guys have never been there so IC it makes sense to air on the side of caution.

Re: Draykon Crew

At the very least you could have asked her about her info OOC to make sure it was legit.

Re: Draykon Crew

Wade does it really matter that much? She could have seen Liya the same as she saw me. No one knew I was going there either because we decided while we were on the ship where we were going, yet there was someone waiting for me all the same, I didn't ask questions, I just rolled with it.

Re: Draykon Crew

Yes. It does. If any random stranger can just walk up to you with info about something that they have no possible way of knowing about, then what's the point of trying to maintain a decent story IC? Where's the logical progression of events and information? It makes the entire storyline questionable and disjointed, and no fun to read or be a part of. So yes, it does matter enough to shoot them a PM and say "Hey, I was just wondering how your character found out this really super secret information that no one knows about."

Re: Draykon Crew

Dude, literally the worst thing that can happen is that I get shot by this chick, which has nothing to do with you, stop being so uptight and let it go, write it off as she was Sithspit to get a reaction from me and she just happened to be right. I didn't ask her how she got the info on me or how she knew I was going to be on the Run because I don't really care, at all actually. I just roll with the flow because that is fun for me. I don't have this all pressing need to be absolutely perfect to have fun, if someone wants to get the drop on me then sweet, it's something interesting for me to try and write myself out of.

Re: Draykon Crew

Regardless of what you think about me and my need to be perfect, shouldn't you, as a councilor, at least care a little bit about the GMing aspect? If a brand new writer to the site had their character approach Ade and claim to know all about his history in the organization, would you just roll with whatever they said or try and work with them to make the story legitimate? This has nothing to do with whether or not someone has the upper hand or can get the drop on you (or me, for that matter).

The fact that a councilor is letting that kind of GMing (if it is indeed GMing) slide gives her an excuse to do the same thing again later, and given that she claims to have information on the fel crew, it very well COULD have something to do with me.

Re: Draykon Crew

I never said you had a need to be perfect, no need to get defensive about it, I was just stating that if people have a one up on me it doesn't bother me because it gives me an interesting twist to write out that I didn't plan for.

It's possible that someone could have that kind of information, I mean I wrote several references to where I left younglings alive, it could be one of them. There's also plenty time in the organization that isn't completely accounted for, it's completely plausible that someone could know me from then, so yes, I would just roll with it because that's what I do, and I think that's why people come to write with me, they have freedom to do what they want to do. If that means that Adrien dies at some point down the road because of that, so be it, I have a backup character primed and ready to go, but never let it be said that my door closed to anyone looking for RP.

Re: Draykon Crew

You don't think it's possible that a pirate, or a bounty hunter, or anyone else with ties to the underworld, could conceivably stake out the 'Run, and know what the crew looks like? I mean -- you're famous. (more or less.) Even if there was no previous IC info that the crew was going there, it makes sense that at SOME point, smuggling crew would show up at the Smugglers' Run. That's what a stake-out is for.

And I recognized Liya, and Ade, and Connie... or maybe I have dossiers from my employer?

Why don't you wait and see?
