OK I have put down the wrong number of ships. I meant 5 not 6. Just a little rectification.

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

Just to clarify -- and I know that my appearance and manoeuvres are liable to raise a few eyebrows, so I wanted to state it here first -- my ships were called by Arhiia's (who received the distress call before Jamming took place) whilst her ships were enroute to the system. So I can legitimately be here.

The E-Wing was a Scout that has since retreated, and took note of the Sith-Class Cruiser's position before it did so and transmitted it - once out of range of the jamming - to the rest of the fleet, parked in a -- which is why the Immobilizer (called the Dimensional Transcendent, if anyone was wondering) was able to jump in in roughly the right spot so quickly. It then used it's Gravity Well Generators to create a funnel through which the Mraz -- which has been programmed to over-step it's emergency cut-off slightly, until the Gravity well reached a certain strength -- would be guided into exactly the right spot. It's a big enough ship that it doesn't need to be THAT precise a manoeuvre... anywhere within 10km of it's intended final stopping point and it'll still have part of it's main hull underneath the Sith-Class Cruiser.

As for the tactic, if you'll check my previous post on Ord Mantel, the Mraz aimed it's weapons up and it's Tractor Beam generators down prior to jumping in. Because it was expecting to be underneath the Sith Cruiser, in order to fire on it, and because it was expecting to have to try and catch additional landing-craft full of forces. The Escape Pods weren't what they expected, but they'll do as targets!

And before that trick is questioned; The that Executor and Imperial class ships carry have an effective range of 220km. Anobis is not terribly unlike Earth -- yes, there are differences, but not many - and is around 100kms to 120kms thick. Which means that I technically have a hundred kilometres to play with from the edge of the Atmosphere... I've been generous by allowing any of the Escape-Pods to be out of range. I should be able to pluck them straight off the surface, if you went with straight maths and distances, but I've assumed some interference from the atmosphere and the like...

Just pre-emptively explaining everything here so I don't get a tonne of crap sent my way. There's no GMing or PGing in play. It's all got a very simple explanation.

I did my research.

Question: Can a single cruiser slip planet side? Or would that be out of the question?

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

Question: Can we please keep OOC chatter off of the boards? Keep it in a PM or put it here. Just a reminder, people.

I'll answer that for you Davus.. It all depends upon the Size of the Ship.. I mean my Victory II's would most likely be the biggest ships we have that could have enough to slip onto the Surface and make it out alive before the gravity of the planet literally made the ship become one with the planets crust.. However that's my take on it.. and I haven't had my coffee yet.. So if I'm wrong.. please excuse this answer

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

Just to make it known -- Brimstone, you have no way of knowing that that is Dav's fleet. The Fleets may be mine OOC, but IC, AND THIS IS ONLY IF YOU COULD EVEN RECOGNISE THEM AT ALL (which, other than the Mraz, is very very very unlikely), you have no way of knowing who these fleets belong to. We've never met, so you can't recognise the Force Presence, and other than one radio-comm to Arhiia's fighter from mine (A VERY short range message), my name has not been said publically.

All in all, I consider you to be stating who the fleet belongs to highly questionable. Keep the OOC knowledge out of IC, mate. It's not good RP.

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

Sorry, I meant, IC, the only identity even POSSIBLE to be attained, is that they belong to Yavin. And even that is almost impossible to know, unless they recognise, remember, and know that the Mraz is Yavin IVs. No way at all to know who the Commander is.

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

OOC: Ok well. Ive got a problem with the amount of clutter now on Anobis Orbit forum. I cant make heads or tails of any fleets due to the amount of numbers and sizes and actions. Seeing what groups have done what is virtually impossible, and I was hoping to (in OOC, of course) declare your side, and Lists your fleets here *

Then, based on that we can have damage called by the users IC and check back here for reference:

-8 fighters lost
-1 cruiser
-2 SDs

for example, followed by the retaliatory attack.

when we get decently along we'll have everyone repost with their hampered forces.

OOC: what does everyone think of this? Since I no longer have a fleet in combat (reduced to very little and combat ineffective) I will take care of all the managing here ^_^*

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

ORBITAL BATTLE

Yavin Relief Fleet
Yavin IV Jedi Praxeum Faction Command Ship

--- Executor-class Star Dreadnaught "Mraz"

2 Heavy Class Ships
--- Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer ├óÔé¼┼ôBrilliant Guardian├óÔé¼┬Ø
--- Nebula-Class Star Destroyer "Argentine"

2 Medium Class Ships
--- 1x Immobilizer 418 Interdictor Cruiser ├óÔé¼┼ôDimensional Transcendant├óÔé¼┬Ø
--- 1x MC75 Mon Calamari Cruiser "Wild Endeavour"

2 Light Class Ships
--- 2x Strike-Class Medium Cruisers "Elsinore" and "Fortinbras"

Are all in Orbit, just forming up, with minimal-moderate shield damage. Repairs and recharging is currently going on. There's a group of starfighters, about 6 squadrons, still on board some of the ships, spread across the Brilliant Guardian, the Wild Endeavour, and the Mraz. Most of these are the Personal fleet allowance, where as most of the next lot are from the Faction allowance that goes with the SSD.

'SAFAEYET' BATTLE

49 Hyperdrive Equiped Starfighters
StealthX X-Wing; 'Dragon Five' Piloted by Jedi Battlemaster Dav Man'Sell

--- 12 XJ9 X-Wing Space Superiority Starfighters; Archangel Squadron
--- 10 XJ9 X-Wing Space Superiority Starfighters; Massassi Squadron
--- 12 B-Wing/E3 Assault Starfighters; Storm Squadron
--- 12 E-Wing Series-IV Escort fighters; Echelon squadron

3 of those 10 Massassi Squadron X-Wings have some damage, and are flying wounded, but nothing too serious yet. Two have been downed. The XJ9D that Dav is flying is behind the Massassi's, who are a slight way from the tail of the Battle Dragons. The other three squadrons just swept in from above the group and blasted over 80 Torpedoes at the Battle Dragons. I'm STILL waiting for Dyvius to call damage, even though he has posted since then. Once he has, I need to call damage in response to something exploding. The B-Wings, after firing, pulled up and broke ahead of the Dragons - they are now in place immediately in front of the Battle Dragons' Hyperspace escape trajectory; the Battle Dragons either have to take the time to completely change trajectory in a major way, or they have to fly straight at my B-Wings in order to enter Hyperspace.

Re: IC disputes settled OOC

Oh boy, have I tried so hard to RP this out and not take past battles into consideration (which were done horribly). I tried to manage with the lack of writing skills of my opponent and work with him and I TRIED to show him what was PGing and what was GMing like a good Counselor would, but if people aren't going to work with me then I just plain and simple can't write with them here.

Besides I didn't sign up to RP here and be called a twi'lek even if it was IC and I don't appreciate Brimstone going around the filters either. Most of all that is what has me completely fed up and ticked off. I don't appreciate that kind of talk and am so close to filing a report...also with the added PMs.

So this is my message. I am stressed out and fed up with this, so Arhiia is just gone as of right now. This battle has turned for the worse and is just ridiculous, so see ya guys. Hope you have fun.

OOC: Force be with you Arhiia, I see where ur comin from.

Not talking to anyone directly, but lets try to maintain a nice OOC atmosphere and IC, use the IC swear language? Choobies, Kriff, Sithspit(and I guess Jedispit?) are the ones Im aware of and the only ones deemed RPable swears, unless there are others (feel free to add them) then they will be the only ones considered polite RP. Henceforth all vulgarity brought from Terran terms (wh0re, b1tch, s|ut, etc.) will be considered extremly disrespectful, rude, and rough. Not much I can do personally but ask nicely. I hate to see any RPer Void out due to such circumstances.
