The Perses Project

I'm looking for a "Commander Shepard" of sorts.

What I basically want to do is gather a list of dossiers that display talents across the board to bring into my Organization under whatever guise it takes to get them to join. They will have a mission (the guise) that will allow them to gain a loyalty to my Organization, and thus a loyalty to each other to see that the mission is done. This is not to say that the mission will not be of importance, but it will serve a dual purpose.

What I'm looking for first if volunteers, and not just for the "Shepard" role but the people that he is chosen to find and recruit. I don't care how many sign up, the more the merrier. I don't care what you do in the universe or what you are, non-force, force user, droid, it doesn't matter. What my main interest is is that I create RP, and not only for my Organization but for the site as well.

You will be provided with a ship and crew to man it, weapons, droids, whatever you want really. And of course to protect my investment I will be sending an operative or two of my own.

You will be given a single mission that is the overall goal, but to achieve that mission you will likely have several other missions to complete. Be warned however, some of what I have in store may make this a one way trip for some of you (that isn't a guarantee though so I stress the "may") so if you want to make a new character then feel free to do so, but I would like everyone involved to consider this a blue light storyline regardless of your current traffic light.

In my opinion this cannot go wrong, there are positives in any direction you look at it. There is excitement in the fact that there is real danger to your character. There is also the opportunity to make a real working crew/writing team. And if all goes according to plan my Organization will either gain a very powerful group of allies or just as well we will gain a new enemy to bolster RP. I feel like this could be a very fun and positive RP experience for all those involved. And who knows, if all goes well there could be a sequel...so to speak.

Any volunteers?

Re: The Perses Project

I am interested, possibly in the role of acting as the one chosen to find and recruit those chosen to be a part of the project depending on how the overall operation would be presented to my character but definitely in being an operative if the recruiter role would not prove to be a good fit.

I would certainly like to play a Dossier if this becomes a thing.

Re: The Perses Project

If Neassa is Shepherd, I'd like to be Garrus/Thane. Neassa and I have worked together before, and I'd like to again.

Re: The Perses Project

I'm not sure who my "Shepard" is going to be yet but it is true that Neassa is my current first choice and I will work further with her to see if she is a good fit, which I think she will be. That being said, more are welcome to ask for that role but I want a clear defined leader so only one will get that distinction.

Now I would like to work with each of you to write up your own dossiers to see where we might place you and anyone is welcome to join. Remember, you are being selected for unique and beneficial talents that will prove invaluable when the final conflict arises, I would really like to hear a lot about your strengths.

I'm also looking for opposition for the crew if anyone is interested in that role.

Re: The Perses Project

The most apt and concise definition for my talents would be to simply say that I am an assassin. I am capable of infiltration via both disguise and simply avoiding detection, as well as eliminating targets both from range and in close quarters. My cybernetic enhancements are many and varied, and make me a formidable opponent even for one skilled in the use of the force. Prior to receiving those enhancements, I operated as an assassin within the limitations of a normal human body, so I am not without the ability to adapt as well.

As I said before, I would fit best in a combination of the roles of Garrus and Thane.

I can throw Kaldera in there as a sort of Miranda/Jack-esk character. He being Sith, but also Imperial/British, the mix is natural XD

Re: The Perses Project

I suppose it's about time I made my return to the galaxy after my apparent death, you can chalk me up to join in this mission. If we're going with the Mass Effect theme I suppose I'd be something along the lines of Zaeed Messani or maybe even Wrex.

Re: The Perses Project

As a Mandalorian and a bounty hunter, Neassa's skill set is a little predictable in some ways. She is, for instance, proficient with blaster pistol and rifle, edged weapons and CQC since growing up in the culture all but demands that she be. She, less predictably, possesses a natural talent for both vocal and behavioral mimicry and for acting out any role she chooses to play, lending her a somewhat chameleonic nature that she uses as needed to accomplish goals without always resorting to or relying strictly on a shoot 'em up approach. Due to the nature of bounty hunting, Neassa has also acquired some experience with/ proficiency in surveillance, infiltration and intelligence gathering/ analysis.

Re: The Perses Project

I would certainly like to play a Dossier, or perhaps one of your operatives but under the guise of a Dossier in which I can study the "crews" actions and progress as well as ensure success of the mission(s). I will most definitely be playing the Jack of all trades card here so to speak, just cause simply I am playing a more Jack related role and position. TMM I would very much like to start writing up that dossier with you, can be through PM if you like. I will be making a wiki up on my personal wiki site so I can constantly add to the Bio part since the fact I hate the bio on here has a limit, you would think after RPing on this site for 4 years, I would get used to it..lol I also have stealthing abilities.

Anyway shoot me a few PM's so we can get me spun up. I will be looking forward to hearing back from you as I have .

Re: The Perses Project

Excellent. You all have done a wonderful job here, your contributions are much appreciated and welcome. I have been looking into the mission possibilities and I have come up with some good ideas that we will discuss at length later.

For now I have some other news for you. Thanks to Captain Galdaart Fel (whether he knows it or not) I have found a website that I discovered the ship that you will be manning in this endeavor, a . With some slight changes to the deck plan that is displayed.

Lvl 1:
The Executive Suite Cabin is designated for the commanding officer to be personalized however they wish.
The Guest Cabin closest to the Exec Suite is the commanding officer's personal library, this area will consist of mission related records and a terminal where messages and reports can be received and viewed, this area is strictly for the use of the commanding officer and anyone he or she may grant authorization. The commanding officer is authorized to add personal touches to the library.
The second Guest Cabin will serve as the commanding officer's office.
The Valet Cabin will be reserved for the Yeoman, who will assist the commanding officer in the day to day. The Yeoman will also have an office outside of the Commanding officer's.
The guest cabin bathrooms will be removed and hall door to the library will be removed in favor of a door leading from office to library.

Lvl 2:
No changes

Lvl 3:
The Captain's Office/Cabin will be the Organization overseer's office and quarters.
The Exec's Cabin will become the Security Office.
The Comm's Pod will become the armory, the door will be removed, and it will be accessible through the Security Office.
The Offices will become the Brig.
The Conference Room will become the ships Main Communications Hub, the room itself will not change, its purpose will just become greater.
The Deck Chief's Office will obviously be used for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

Lvl 4:
The Chapel/Comm will still be used as a Chapel for those who are the religious sort, but it's main function will be for ship's psychologist.

Lvl 5:
Cargo bay will become a training facility that includes a shooting range, fitness room, and sparring area. This may be added to depending on preference.

Lvl 6:
There will be alternative plans for Level 6 as well.

Your choice of will be provided.

The total crew number will be 70-75 this will include the commanding officer, my overseer, dossiers, and NPCs. Positions that will be filled with an NPC until someone volunteers for the undertaking are as follows.

Yeoman
Psychologist
Cook(s)
Mechanic
Doctor
Pilot(s)/Flight Deck crew
Security Officer
Gunners
Communications Officer
Navigator

There may be more, however these are the primary roles that I will fill with NPCs when required, the remaining NPCs are for use of the crew as the proverbial "red shirts" and any of these positions may be filled by one of the Dossier positions or anyone that would like to fill the roles.

I do not expect the entire ship to be filled with PCs, that is an unrealistic expectation, however I would like as many as possible and still be able to work on a solid SL, too many and we may falter, too few and we may never leave the ground.

No, I do the same and that is actually the reason I chose this character, great voice.

Re: The Perses Project

Inferno is an Infiltrator by nature. If I had to equivalize him with a particular Mass Effect character it would have to be Thane. Breaking and entering, stealth, sabotage, theft, and hand-to-hand combat are all things he does especially well. Aided by the Force more often than not, he's always had a habit of getting into place he really shouldn't be.

I commit fully to every RP I throw myself into, so you won't need to worry about faltering enthusiasm on my part. I'll keep monitoring this topic thread for when things start really picking up.

Pretty sure I'll sign up for this, just not sure what role I'd want to fill. Currently thinking either pilot, medic or mechanic...also debating whether I create a new character, or redo Desmond Skyblazer.

Re: The Perses Project

I have no idea where I would put Kaldera....he isnt subtle about being Sith and doesnt take Orders very well for the same reason...perhaps he is a foreman commanding over some of the workers on the ship? Or, he could be an operative like Miranda if we are sticking with the Mass Effect metaphor...though...he'll also end up hating the Organization like Jack XD

I think you have a good solid crew available, if we dont fade and stick together on this just keep us in the loop so we know whats going on and what role which of us have for sure (TMM).

Re: The Perses Project

Your roles on the ship are not nearly as important as your roles in the mission and I would prefer that they not get in the way of the mission.

Kaldera: The Organization Operative(s) will be selected from the current members of the Organization.
Negue: In whatever capacity you decide, I'm sure you'll do just fine. However, you are a Jedi Shadow, it would also make sense for you or at least one of you to be involved in this mission as it pertains to something that should interest you greatly.
Everyone who has given me Dossier information: I will be writing up the actual Dossiers and you can tweak them to your liking, remember this is what the commanding officer will see and what the Organization will have on file.
