Re: Main Meeting Hall

This is the main meeting hall, it can also serve as a dinning hall for large groups.

*Motions to the ornately carved solid wood table, cut from a single chunk of a tree native to Kashyyyk.*

This table was imported all the way from Kashyyyk.

OOC: fights back a "thats what she said" joke.

BIC: I spare no expense for my visitors and friends. So, next up the visitor wing.

*Matar turns and exits the room heading for the wing holding the staterooms.*

*Matar quickly enters the meeting room, and dismisses a couple of wayward cleaning droids. Taking a seat at the head of the table, Matar waits for the others to arrive in response to Javelin's messages.*

*Ronan enters, his landspeeder trip from Ravelin short, sweet, and wordless. He is shown to a seat near the head of the table where a red-skinned, tatoo-covered Twi'lek sits. He takes his own seat, inserting Orelanna's datacard into a slot in the table.*

Re: Main Meeting Hall

*Admiral Loic silently admired the architecture of the palace as he, Othla and Ignus walked wordlessly to the meeting hall generously pointed out by large holographic signs on every corner. He loved the orderly and very precise work, and wished that would be reflected in the coming storm. As ranking officer, he was in front and his two 'guards' flanked him, one guilt-ridden and the other focusing on her duty of simply following orders. Finally, as they approached the meeting room, Ignus broke silence.*

"Admiral, sir. Please, Othla had nothing to do with it! It was all me. I wanted to surprise her for her birthday and treat her to a special meal on the surface, what with the rubbish the mess hall dishes out. There really is no need - "

*Ignus was stopped in his tracks as Loic turned around, eyes gentle but face stern.* "I do not believe, for one second, that one of my Stormtroopers from my training programme would be kidnapped by a zoo keeper." *He said. His voice was calm, as the admiral rarely needed to raise his voice and even less often lost his temper, but his message always got across one way or another.* "Now please, serve your punishment and come with me. We're nearly there."

*The trio entered the meeting room, which was again fabulously designed. Othla the Stormtrooper-in-training stopped at the door and put her hands behind her back in the ready-stance of officers-on-duty. Ignus continued walking until he saw that his niece had stopped, and sheepishly took up the position on the other side of the archway-door, trying to mimic the same stance but the military crispness escaped him.

Loic saluted to the red Twi'lekk already seated at the table.*
"My Lord," *he said in a low voice, and took a seat. He registered the other on the table, but had no idea who he could be. That was strange; Loic knew nearly all the officers in High Command. This looked to be a meeting full of surprises.*

Re: Main Meeting Hall

*Matar inclines his head in greeting to those at the table.*

I am happy to see you have made it. Kaiden Sereno would have also joined us but he is indisposed, performing business necessary for the return of our Empire. Your invitation to Bastion marks you as either a stalwart Imperial, or someone skilled in their field. Rebuilding the span of the Phoenix Imperium will require the best raw materials, personnel included, that we can bring to bear.

My personal assistant is already bringing what remains of my military back up to speed. And I trust you have your own resources as well. Starflare, as my man Javelin explained, I wish you to take the position of Grand Admiral. Your talent with naval tactics is well reputed.

*Matar looks to Loic.*

You were recommended by Kaiden, and I am not personally familiar with your history or aptitudes. What role do you look to play in our venture?

Re: Main Meeting Hall

*Loic listened as a Captain of a warship should to his commanding officer; intently, with respect, but not to the extent that all he focused on was his Lord's words. Loic registered his two makeshift bodyguards and felt a sense of disappointment. It was true that he and Kaiden were on speaking terms, and Loic knew what Kaiden had recommended.*

"Let the games begin," *he thought. Politics was never his favourite sport, but nevertheless he could run rings around other navy personnel in that department.*

"That role has already been cast, my Lord," *Loic cast a neutral look to the other seated at the table.* "Congratulations... Grand Admiral. I'm sure that you will bring the enemies of the Imperium down to your knees."

*Loic straightened himself. Luckily, he always thought outside the box. One of his ideas could become his salvation now.* "My Lord, I am a Captain of the Star Destroyer in orbit and have my own Stormtrooper programme. I am all about the notion of Order and Empire, and I am a great thinker."

*Loic paused, mostly for dramatic effect, but also to collate the idea he was coming up with into words. Grand Admiral he might not be, but should he have access to what he was hoping for, then he would be the major fighting force of the Imperium.*

"My Lord, I request that I go to Cloud City, on Bespin. I have good reasons for doing so, if you'd like me to explain them?" *He glanced at Starflare, that was what his Lord had called him.* "Some information may be of a... classified nature."

Re: Main Meeting Hall

*Being in the presence of Imperials was entirely different from spending time with Republic officials. The Republic danced around every issue they could find. But the Imperials? No, they cut straight to the chase.

The red-skinned Twi'lek began to talk, mentioning there was an absent fourth member of their meeting, and that he was indisposed at this time. Ronan's eyes darted around the room, taking it in. It was stark, Imperial in every way, shape and form. Matar looked to him, reaffirming what his A.I Javelin had told him back in the Onyx Dragon.*

"Thank you...Lord Regent."

*The title had to force its way off of his tongue. Referring to someone like that was difficult and foreign to him. But he knew going in that this would be an entirely different world from that he was used to. There was no one friendly to him here. He had abandoned that.

He did what he had done for the greater good. The Republic was corrupt, indecisive. And his fellow Jedi were pandering to that indecisiveness. They would see it one day though. Truthfully, it was one thing he had always admired about Palpatine's Galactic Empire. They always managed to get things done, even if it was at the hands of a grieving Sith Lord.

But things were different now. A new power was arising. One that he would put a Jedi stamp on.

He saw Matar turn to the other man in the room and basically ask him what he had in mind for himself. He eyed the man like he would any other stranger: with optimistic caution. And so he listened as the man all-out admitted to having wanted his own job. Very well. A bit of intrigue and job competition never hurt. Unless you were Sith, of course.

The man had a Star Destroyer at his disposal, presumably the other ship he saw in orbit when he arrived over Bastion what felt like days ago already. And he had a stormtrooper regiment and development program. That would prove useful in his forthcoming plans. The Galaxy needed to be shown just how wrong it was.

As the man continued, he made mention of Bespin, of Cloud City, claiming he had good reasons to go there. He looked forward to hearing them even more when the man glanced at him. He had made it sound like he wanted to hide something from Ronan, and the Jedi Investigator inside him was very intent to find out just what it was.*

*Matar turns to the recently enlisted officers.*

We are all on the same page then. Loic, you may move to Cloud City. I am interested in seeing what you are capable of.

*He turns to Ronan.*

Grand Admiral, I would like for you to move on Yaga Minor. Annex the world for the Imperium by any necessary means. Try to avoid using force if possible, the Yagai were always loyal citizens, a peaceful solution bears the best chance of success.

"Understood. I'll leave at once."

*He rose from his chair and snapped a quick salute to his new superior before retrieving Orleanna's data chip from the table and making his way back to Ravelin to his shuttle and back up to what was left of the forces loyal to him.*

Re: Main Meeting Hall

*Loic inwardly smiled. He was trustworthy; his record said so. Impeccable, and innovative. That his Lord would trust him on his say so, without a classified pre-report being sent through first to weigh the pros and the cons, spoke volumes of his Lord's trust in Loic's abilities.

Loic; one. Starflare, nil.*

"My Lord, I take my leave."

*And with that Loic stood and bowed low. His Lord was once one of the most powerful men in the Galaxy. That time would come again, and come soon. Loic would play his part. Now, he had to go to Bespin. He had business there, business with a mentor's old friend. A promise to keep.

He would search for Picas Dixon.

Loic left the hall, Ignus and his niece followed quickly behind him.*
