Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

Okay...

*Smiles around at the nice shiny new thread.*

Thank you Ana.

Okay... Malice appearance in system notwithstanding, the Mando's will be arriving in system after Duke and Dav have done their thing. Dav must get to Yavin Station and is on his way now, and Duke must also arrive there incognito. Only then will the Mando fleet arrive. Lets say that Mal's fleet is using the bulk of the Gas Giant, as well as the electromagnetic interference, to conceal his presence. I know the Jedi would likely sense something but with all the feelings of doom flying around he should be able to remain unnoticed.

The rough order is set out above and you are expected to follow your leaders both IC and OOC. It will work beter that way.

Aside from all that your creativity is your own and fun is the paramount purpose, at least for me.

Everyone have a great one and enjoy.

Any and all of my characters, be it NPC or PC, are open for whatever RP and CAN be killed if I am out-written. There is no traffic light or restriction on any so feel free to have a crack. I only ask that you PM me if you want to go for a prolonged bit of writing and state your intentions. Again, it'd be easier this way. I'll probably write a bit of narration as to the fleet battle as it unfolds and anyone happy to do the same, from either side, get in contact with one of the writers lited at the top to suggest your ideas. It would do for someone to write a fleet action in their narration that totally runs counter to something already there, or the RPs plot as a whole.

I'd also suggest that writers list their characters intention (what role they are likely to play) and their status (whether they can be killed, injured, turned, whatever) so as to avoid problems later on. This will also double as a kind of roll call for those involved.

Cheers.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

*Raises right hand and recites just like Corr said too* I have read and understood the Mando War OOC thread ;p

I would prefer that my character survives to fight another day, but am open to the possibility that I might be written into a position from which that might not be the way things turn out.

I would like to be involved in the RP to take control of Yavin Station and the siege of the Praxeum.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

Before my induction into the Jedi ranks, I was (and still am, to a degree) a pirate. I intend to have one of my pirating ships be called into orbit at the very edge of the battle, for reasons of medium to heavy battle on a one on one basis of a handful of ships.

Is any ONE mandalorian interested in taking me up on this offer? Id rather not have a huge swarm of ships after me, this being rather a "small skirmish" theme that we're aiming for. Once the blockade is initiated, my ships will be pulling to the edge of the system, or simply leaving altogether.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

As requested: I have read and understood the Mando War OOC thread. Yavin Edition.

As for goals and intentions, looking to participate in both the attack on the station and surface. Planning to meet my demise here, but have already made arrangements with another RPer who has the honor of defeating me. If my ship survives (check my profile), anyone who finds it and wants it is free to take it, same with my armor and weapons if they survive intact.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

per request: i will detail my involvement

but yes, I have read and understood the Mando War OOC thread

Puck: the little stuffed tiger npc of mine will be attempting to steal a mandalorian communication chip from one of the shuttles landed in the hangar. I have discussed the possibility with that Finicky AI that the Admiralty controls... and the character is the only one with permission to make puck go splodey. if anyone else notices puck, the doll is trained to just drop limp if you would "quantum locking" himself

Monte: i personally will be, (at the Behest of Dav) serving as the defense of the yavin station (techno-warfare standpoint) monte's goal will be to do a complete lock down of all systems minus life support and booster controls so that the mando's are as trapped on the station as the jedi are down below (make the station an unappealing property to hold to the mandos) from there, i will admit whether i leave the system of flee the battle depends hugely on Puck's fate. but i will say this, Monte is my main and how i have been getting better, while i won't rule out the possibility of him dying, it had better be a Darn good storyline that leads to my death. otherwise, minor wounds notwithstanding, Monte WILL survive this.

Awww man, I wanted to wipe a willing participant off the board.

As for goals and intentions, I will participating in the ground defense of Yavin as a full participant. As a Senior Jedi Master and pivotal to future RP, I plan to survive the attack. But I recognize that if I get outwritten, I will accept my demise.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

Apologies for for double posting here - I was writing on my Iphone, and I posted prematurely when my internet cut out.

I have read the above, and understand the rules and plan. As for goals and intentions, I plan to RP via NPC in space (as detailed in my above post) in which I dont really care what happens to said forces. On the ground, I intend to RP with the Jedi watchmen - I will agree to bodily harm, dismemberment, torture even - but I would prefer to remain alive (unless decided upon between two parties), as my involvement with the watchmen has honestly (and quite literally) just begun.

Thats all, pardon me for the double post in this thread,

- Dante

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

I agree to have fun...
... and to the rules.

Yeah, I wouldnt want Duke to be killed, but if its awesome, go for it.
This wont apply for my NPC-s though.

I think I added syla to this RP too, but I was informed she wouldnt be in the first part though. Might try to get through the blockade later.
HER, I dont want to get killed yet... got plans for that :P

I also dislike killing chars.

going to post as soon as I know who is going to be on the ship, and what ship we are coming with... (if I get Crom'nens, or I have to commandeer an NPC vessel)

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

Oya. Read it, got the picture, playin' by the rules.

Ornik and any NPCs I bring to the party are up to be killed if you can out-write me; but if you're trying to kill me, you had better be prepared to die yourself. My main goal is to get to the ground battle and throw down with the foot-soldiers; not going to be involved with the space battle as I'd be more clutter than carnage.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

All sounds good,

In any case I'd prefer not to have Mike Die since.. well I really like to keep him around and all that. Although I'd be more than happy to provide a few NPC soldiers and maybe even a couple NPC Jedi for your killing pleasure. Anyway I will probably be involved in basic ground fighting defense stuff. Maybe protect some children or something sufficiently jedi like that. Since I'm J-TECH I might end up having to do something techie, although that depends on what is needed and all that. In any case I'm sure I'll be working with the watchmen and fighting some of those armored tank people guys.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

Read and understood. Though I'll be keeping this thread open on my browser for reference.

And I like the purply fonts. Very swag. YOLO. I'm going to kill myself now. :P

GALSAF will be maintaining their front as being sided with the Mandalorians throughout the entire operation. This will change at some point after the siege is initiated.

Our three (3) Imperial-II Class Star Destroyers and one (1) Venator Class Star Destroyer will remain in orbit to provide support for the Mandalorian vessels there.

Our four (4) battalions of GALSAF commandos will land on the surface of the planet (when able) with their supporting vehicles and provide support to Mandalorian forces able to land.

Meanwhile: My PC, Ander Tagira, will lead a team of commandos onto Yavin Station in support of the Mandalorian forces. We will maintain the guise that we are striking at objectives on the station, though Ander will be splitting off in secret to meet with Dav Man'Sell.
That is when we will work out GALSAF's secretive support of the Jedi for when the siege is laid in, though of course not knowing the outcome of the space battle, we won't be planning that directly. Mainly just going over the fact that Ander cannot continue supporting the Mandalorian cause as a result of ideological and ethical issues.

We will maintain this secretive nature as long as possible, deciding with both Jedi and Mandalorian leaders when and how GALSAF's betrayal will be revealed, and how it will be dealt with.

On Ander's death/survival: I would rather Ander not die. He has a lot left to deal with in his life, many things left unfinished.

HOWEVER: I have to say the idea of his death as a result of the unveiling of this change in loyalties, along with his ethical and moral internal conflict, as well as his desire to be a part of his culture and his history with the Jedi of Yavin 4 DOES make a VERY TEMPTING story.

We'll see, though I won't settle on anything yet.

On the deaths of GALSAF soldiers: GALSAF soldiers are ALL commando grade soldiers. They are well trained in myriad tactics, weapons and skills, and are among the best of the best in the galaxy. They are a surgical tool, precise and sharp, cutting deep when they cut at all.
I write them on a very personal level, and have nearly an entire roster drawn up for our soldiers that includes races, names, and back stories, along with detailed personality types.
I am in no way opposed to losing soldiers, that is expected. However, I do love writing their experiences out in detail, giving them the same respect of story I would any Player Character.

Anyone directly interacting with GALSAF soldiers during the battle can expect a wonderfully detailed and fleshed out experience, though I want to make clear I will expect the same.

EX: "Joe Shmoe grabbed a handful of thermal detonators and tossed them at the incoming commandos, obliterating them all."

I write these men as if they were real, because I have worked very hard to make them real. I just want them to go out with a bang. :)

P.S. This is gonna be AWESOME.

Re: Mandalorian Holy War: Yavin IV OOC Information

I shall post here for both participating PC's here, they being Valdemar Drea'gor and Zerachiel Korbin. I have read the conditions and accept them.

Valdemar Drea'gor will be participating on the Mandalorian side naturally. Mostly he will be in the initial attack on the Yavin Station, but with his hatred if force users, he will quickly be joining the fight planet side. In relation to his death, if you can kill him, Kudos to you. He is a brutal man, so don't expect anything but malicious intent. I won't be doing anything but trying to kill the Jedi scum, and I expect nothing different from the Jedi trying to kill or incapacitate me.

Zerachiel is planet side already, being a Padawan he would be considered easy pickings, but I will be writing him almost as such. He can hold his own but he doesn't have the fighting experience to be able to take down a Mandalorian in truth, won't stop him trying or dying for the Jedi cause. That being said, I don't wish for Zerachiel to die, I have plans for him that require his survival. Normally I wouldn't mind, but in this case I do.

Scratch that, Jarkiv will not survive past the station, but the offer for anyone to claim my items after death (assuming they're intact and you can manage to scavenge them) is free to take them. That would be my armor, everything listed in the weapons section, and the ship, assuming it all survives.

As for goals and intentions, I will participating in the evacuation and then the ground defense of Yavin. I would like to have Veran survive but if I am written into a position from which the only logical outcome is her death I will accept it.
