Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Cuyan heard the voice calling and recognized it from their last meeting. His brother Brynden. He rose and walked out of the shrine, approaching his brother and what looked like a farghul woman beside him. He and Brynden bore no resemblance to each other. Brynden was ruddy, fair haired, stocky with eyes like whiskey, whereas Cuyan was an inch shorter and twenty pounds lighter, with pale skin, lustrous black hair and eyes like chipped jade. Brynden was handsome in a traditional human way, while Cuy had high cheekbones and almond shaped eyes, looking far more like the son of a taung and a human. He noticed that Brynden had drawn his gun and he smirked.*

"Su'cuy vod'ika. Mighty unkind of you to draw on me without a reason. Put it up, I haven't come to fight you."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Ashla's eyebrow rose as she watched Cuyan, having never seen him before. There were strong resemblances to Reyn, and the brothers' manner of speech was different, but that was where it ended. He was interesting, moving with the lethal predatory grace of a born soldier, and Ashla didn't tak her eyes off him as she separated from Bryn, moving to stand next to him in a fighter's half-crouch but resting her tail gently on his leg to keep him calm.*

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Brynden's face was grim, there was anger in his features. Anger of twenty years of betrayal by the man in front of him. Brynden didn't move to put his gun away, and barely noticed the touch of his wife's tail.*
"Why are you here Cuyan? Haven't you done enough over the past twenty years?"

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Cuyan noticed that Bryn did not put his gun away and he shrugged, lighting a cigarette.*
"Times change Bryn, people change with them. You should know that by know. I hear you're the chieftain now. That's a big change for you. Why is it impossible for me but reality for you?"
*Cuyan took a long pull on his cigarette, and smiled through a black beard.*
"I just came to pay my respects little brother. Put the gun away."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Brynden put his gun away and started removing his armor from the waist up. He needed this, he needed to clear the air between himself and the older brother he had once worshipped.*
"You cannot expect me to just believe you Cuyan. You have never been worthy of my trust. You abandoned me, our father, and more importantly our clan. We're gonna settle this, I am going to make you hurt. Put your fists up Ha'rangir, I am through talking."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Cuyan rolled his eyes and began stripping his own armor off, revealing a lean almost sickly pale body. covered in scars. Trained eyes would recognize which were battle scars and which were from various surgeries. He bore a long beskad scar, a reminder of his last meeting with his brother, where Brynden bore a similar one from him. In a few moments he was stripped to the waist and rolling his shoulders.*
"I didn't come here for this Brynden. Don't force me to fight you."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Brynden snarled and without a word swung a right hook at his older brother. Cuy threw his head back to avoid the hook but Bryn was sneaky, throwing a body blow slightly after the hook and landing it squarely on his solar plexus. Cuy doubled over and launched an open palm strike to the side of Brynden's head knocking him back slightly to give some breathing space. Brynden came back with a left that Cuy blocked with his right forearm as he launched a left handed jab that Brynden likewise blocked, but Cuy had followed with a kick to the chest that sent him sprawling. Cuy stepped back to ready himself for another flurry. Bryn was up quickly and in a fury launched himself at his brother, his eyes filled with an alarming fury.*

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Cuyan was surprised by the ferocity of the tackle but compensated, falling and placing his feet on brynden's hips and grabbing his arms to flip him over and roll back to straddle him. Cuyan caught him with several open hand strikes, his cybernetically enhanced strength overcoming his brother's ability to fend him off. Brynden threw a wild punch up at Cuy, but he bobbed back, grunting as brynden delivered one to his kidney. He caught the arm that had swung for his head and punched down at Brynden's solar plexus, raising his hips enough to force brynden onto his stomach and lock him in a neck and arm hold. His first instinct was to twist just so, but he caught himself, just barely. He wasn't that man anymore, his earlier self would have killed his brother now, but he had changed.*
"Brynden, ner'vod. I told you, I don't wish to fight. I came home to try to help my people. I have been wrong for twenty years, I want to do right. You remember this move. Our father taught it to us. You know as well as I do that I could kill you here, I will not. I don't know what other proof to offer you that I have changed. You know as well as I do, you do not want the position you have. I will be chieftain, and you will be free to live the life you want. I have bested you in combat, by tradition the right is mine."

*Ashla had been unable to intervene during the fight, for fear of hitting Bryn, but as Cuyan pinned her lover, she growled warningly, moving close enough to be able to deliver a stunning strike to the head with the weighted tail ring. The short fur on her arms and shoulders was bristling protectively, the feral light in her eyes as she growled again, the sound deep and forbidding.*

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Brynden was beaten and he knew it. He heard Ashla growl and he began to panic. He loved his lioness, but she was in all probability outmatched against his brother, who had somehow gotten smaller but stronger than he had been before. The fact that Cuy didn't kill him was telling. Brynden looked at his wife, and all she had endured as the wife of a chieftain just to be with him. If Cuy was serious, this could be an opportunity for Brynden to make it all up to her, to be the man she deserved, to give her a normal life away from all of this.*
"I....yield....You've won Cuyan. I cede leadership to you. May our father forgive me."
*Cuyan released him and he stood up painfully.*
"I may one day forgive you Cuyan, but I will never forget."

*As Bryn got to his feet slowly, Ashla was at his side in a quick movement, supporting him gently with her tail curling around his waist, still eyeing Cuyan distrustfully, the deep growl still reverberating through her body.* "Is that it?"

*Cuyan nodded and began to gather his belongings.*
"Aye. You both are welcome to continue to live here just as you have been. I am not looking to cause harm. I am not that man anymore. I hope that I may be granted the opportunity to know you again, Brynden. We were close once. Of course, should you wish to leave, I will not restrain you either."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Brynden scowled at his brother. For him to come here after all that has transpired between them, all the things he had done and act as if they were still the brothers they had been. Brynden turned away leaning on Ashla as he began to limp off with her, speaking without looking at him.*
"I am going back to my house. I don't know what will happen next, but you will leave me alone until I do, or by Kad one of us will die."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

After dropping Kiera off at school, Athyna made her way to the shrine to pay her respects and tidy up the place a bit - adding some of the fresh flowers that Parja was so fond of in life and bringing along some freshly bottled booze to drink in honor of Reyn. She'd felt another presence around the tomb before entering, though whoever it was didn't seem to be Force sensitive. Drawing the Force around herself, she stepped inside and was greeted by the sight of a man, not much taller than herself, standing and facing the shrine with his back to her. Not sure what he wanted, or was doing, she kept her distance and leaned a shoulder against the door frame as she spoke.

"May I help you with something, vod?"

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

*Cuyan had not yet rearmored after his fight with his brother, and was deep in thought when he heard a female voice behind him. He turned and smiled weakly, there was a familiarity about her. She looked like his mother, whom he had hated for so many years for her abandonment of him. She had her build, though Ailyn had been harder her lines, and those same whiskey eyes as Brynden. However, unlike Bryn's dirty blonde, she bore straight and lustrous ebon hair, similar to his, though in its length much closer to his father's. She could only be Athyna, there was no better explanation.*

"Hello little sister."

Re: Kad'yaim-Shrine of Kad Ha'rangir

"C-Cuyan?"

Straightening up, she narrowed her eyes slightly when he spoke. She knew she had another brother, besides Brynden, and remembered her mother talking about Cuyan on rare occasions, but she never expected to actually meet him one day...especially given the fact that he'd renounced Reyn, and the family, ages ago.

She looked him up and down, taking in his dark hair, much like her own, his green eyes, his lean and somewhat pale appearance. His features held a look of humaness, and a hint something else. He had some of Reyns features, she realized. She wasn't sure why he chose now to make an appearance, but she figured it must be because of their fathers death. News like that traveled fast in the galaxy, especially if your father was once Mand'alor, and one of the greatest Mandalorian warriors in his day. Taking a step forward, but still keeping her distance, she met his gaze, her voice held an even friendly tone that belied her surprise, and somewhat nervousness, at seeing him.

"What are you doing here on Lehon, brother?"
