*The questions came, rapid fire, in quick succession, and it took Adi by surprise. Ice was a real firecracker, and didnt seem to hold back one bit. A lot like himself, to be sure.
It made her all the more attractive. Brains, toughness, not to mention just downright cute as all hell, Ice had a complete package going for her, and Adi was hooked in by it all.*
Whoa, Ange, one thing at a time!
*Chuckling, he began to answer her. Some of the questions were easily explained, and answered. Others, not so much....*
Well, I can answer several of those questions at once. Honoghr and I go back about ten or eleven years. The New Republic had acquired it in some sort of trade, and the place was in shambles. An empire ship crashed here, with a chemical, meant to destroy Naboo. It hit here instead. It was basically a desert with a huge polluted ocean. I got here, and, as I always do, recruited the best of the best to take care of the planet, and get it back to where it once was. Nadia was one of those scientists that came here. We kinda...hit it off. It was really a good relationship. Short, to be sure, but very good. I was always away on New Republic business, and didnt see that she got pregnant about three months after we had gotten together. Not long after that, I went to Alderaan. When I got back, she was gone.
*As the memory of that day came back to him, a look of wispy sadness took away the goofy smile that was usually present on his face. He composed himself, and continued.*
I was going to propose when I returned. I guess it wasnt meant to be. But, out of that, came Eyam`e. I just met her, when Nadia returned a few months ago. In the med bay was the first time I had ever truly met her. When I saw her the first time, she was in an isolation chamber. She had been bitten by some kind of bug, and was in a stasis. Nadia found a plant here on Honoghr that was able to save her. All due to the efforts of the planet restoration.
*That out of the way, now to the harder questions, ones that he didnt necessarily want to answer...*
And you had asked what I am a Prince of? Thats kinda hard to answer, as the royal family I am attatched to is gone, save for me. I am a Prince of House Adasca, the royal family of Arkania. I lived there until I was eleven years old, as a fairly privileged young man, taught the Jedi ways. My contact and friendship with Arhiia began there, actually. We were very good friends, and our parents actually had decided that we would marry.
Until the day the Extermination came, that is. The entire royal family was killed, including some of the Concordias. My mother put me in a stasis, locked my memory away in a crystal to make sure I didnt fall into the hands of the extremists, and put me on a transport. I ended up on Tatooine, and was taught the dark ways by a sith named Darth Amaris. That, however, I will talk about another time, as I do not wish to bore you with the trivial details. I do believe you had one more question that I have not quite answered, however.
The question of how I know Master Concordia is....complicated, to say the least. As I mentioned, as children we were betrothed. We were very close, and trained together. That is why I have such aptitude in saber. She was quite the training partner. Anyway, about a year ago, she to Honoghr, seeking to learn more bout those beautiful EMP ships that we here are so famous for. It led to a...well, lets just say it ended up with me goin to the lightside, and becoming her Padawan.
*Adieumus closed his eyes as he remembered the long journey he had to make, almost entirely on his own, and without the guidance of a Master before he spoke the next words.*
I had actually fallen in love with her. I couldnt resist, it was just perfect between us, or so I had thought. She left me to face Dace Concordia, her own uncle, due to the fact that she cant face down family in a fight, and it was a betrayal I do not know if I can ever forgive her for. I respect her, as she is my Master. She is one of the finest Jedi in the galaxy, albeit a little dark. But I do not think that the damage could ever be repaired to the trust bond needed to love...
*Re-opening his eyes, and gazing back at the woman staring intently at him as he spun his tale, Adi smiled.*
You, however, have taken my heart like no other has, ange.
*He leaned in, reaching his left hand up, and put it on the back of Ice's head, feeling the tight, braided ponytail in his fingers. He closed his eyes, and kissed her, pressing his lips softly against hers.....*
