Re: Assembly Lines

*Plates were lowered into place after the frame had been completed. The internal "clockwork", as it were, was a bit more of a sophisticated process. There was nothing smooth about the design, with many sharp right angles and points.* *If one was standing within the freighter sized vessel during a collision, the possibility of striking one of those edges and sustaining injury was fairly high. Unfortunately that was exactly how the Sith Clone desired it, despite the personal risk involved. There was something about remaining inside a piloted death trap that presented a certain sense of satisfaction. Likely the sadist nature of the Famine Lord played a part in this consideration.* *Black metallic paint and Reflec were used to paint the exterior, warping light and slowing the progress of sensors.* *Capital ship based sensors would no doubt still be able to pierce the hull, though anything smaller than a frigate would likely have difficulty performing the same sort of penetration.* *Just like the warship and carrier this particular design was destined to be stored upon, the interior was for the most part unlit. Only within the cockpit was there complete lighting, doubly so considering all the console screens. The rest of the ship was shrouded in midnight.* *It was reminiscent of Umbara, bearing an ethereal seemingly eternal twilight.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*Everything about the ships interior was hard and uncomfortable. The seats used for the cockpit were made for a tough form fitting material that felt more like a slab of rock than a cushioned chair. There was a small, very minuscule stateroom that contained a bed and closet, yet to be filled with the wardrobe of the foul one. Assuming one could see the walls through the veil of darkness that shrouded the interior, they would note that the design was very plain. Dull grey walls lined the inner corridors, unadorned by even the slightest garnish. It seemed a very clear militaristic aesthetic, though considering this ship was to serve more as a personal transport for the Famine Lord, the expectations of others would be quite surprised. Finally, the stygium cloaking device stripped from the Traitors Blade was installed within the tiny transport, completing the specifications of the Sith Clone. Unbeknown to Dragus was the new weapons layout that separated this craft further from the stock model. Twin laser canon turrets were replaced by a wider and less advised series of weapons. On each spear tipped wing were four individual laser cannons, duel linked. Two on the underside and two on top. The warhead launchers were removed, and in the rear of the craft a seismic charge launcher was installed.* *What this meant was that as opposed to the turrets that could fire in a wide variety of directions, the ship could now only fire in a forwards direction, albeit, with a greater deal of amassed power. It could not longer fire behind it, though it would now be able to deploy a charge capable of taking out practically any starfighter foolish enough to approach it from behind. Void-7's were no joke.* *It would take another week to calibrate the weapon systems completely, though fortunately at this point the hardware was all installed properly. Software was a bit more tricky to get just right, especially given all the experimental systems used to modify the ship.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*Finally, after a months worth and more of construction, the transport "Thirst" was completed. The finished product was moved to the hangar bay where a flight team would see that it reached the "Eye's Cradle". For the workers who had labored many long hours on the space faring vessel, this was a time for celebration. Champagne and finger foods were distributed amongst the workers, all part of a small banquet held to show the Famine Lord's appreciation for those that had toiled for his benefit. Of course, a half an hour in to the festivities, guests began to notice something rather unusual. A fair amount of the celebrating workers had dropped to the floor. Their eyes rolled back, their chests stopped beating, and their skin grew cold and oily. Death, as though the Eye had turned its malicious sights on the hard working laborers. In truth it was but another scheme of the cruel and wicked Sith Clone, a man who valued secrecy to such an extent that he would poison those that had a hand in building his prized possession. They died, each and every one of them, leaving no trace of what went into the transport save what was left on the facilities hard drive. A virus made short work of that potential leak, corrupting every shred of data beyond repair.* *As the saying went, "Be with the Eye". Such was the blessed fate of these unsuspecting few.* *A team consisting of two Shadow Stormtroopers boarded the constructed transport shortly after the bodies in the assembly line area were removed, then proceeded to take it out of the hangar bay and enter hyperspace once clear of the local asteroid field.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*Using diagrams and junk that he Twin Sun Transport Service acquired from their buddies at Telgorn...* *Thanks by the way.* *...the facility began to piece together a slightly modified . Most of the pieces would be made inside the Twin Sun Station, but considering that the Telgorn station was nearly as big, it would need to be put together outside in space.*

*What did this mean? Well I am glad you asked. It sure makes me feel important.*

*It means that all the little Woks aboard got to don cute little space suits.* *Imagine if you will, Ewoks...in space!* *Completion of the platform was scheduled to take place in, er, a while.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*As the TSTS was busy punching out another station, several repeat orders came in. Instead of one station, they needed to build three. Well, you can imagine how much of a strain that sort of thing will put on a Wok. Needless to say the little furry guys had to work overtime, like serious, they be busting their backs for real now. Estimated time for the other two platforms...sometime after the first one is done.*

*Chop chop my little furry flock.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*While the majority of the workers busied themselves with the construction of the three stations, a select group of dedicated Woks were chosen for a side project. Schematics were uploaded to the companies database, similar to a model of ship they had gotten their furry paws on before, but a great deal smaller. Several gasps sounded from the mouths of the witnessing few as they looked on the design.* *It was either madness of genius that had a hand in designing what they beheld, though without knowing the designer they couldn't truly say which. Black hulled, large solar sails, with a heavy nautical theme in the design. It was something far from ordinary, and they were going to build it.* *The crew selected began to make a list of the materials they would need. It was an uncomplicated list with the access to certain unique items they possessed, but it was still necessary to stockpile the appropriate parts before beginning assembly. One corner of the factory floor was cleared, enough so that the entire design could be constructed inside under the veil of secrecy.*

Re: Assembly Lines

*Twin masts were raised, dismally dark in hue and consisting of havod alloy with titanium bracing. The skeletal frame of the ship began to take form, like some sort of twisted evil mockery of the Fairwind. One could liken it to the Galleon-class Gunship, save of course for the extreme difference in size. Three times smaller than an original Galleon, this modified replica was more akin to the classic model on which both ships were drawn.* *The nautical theme was hardly unique, what with tof vessels being similarly shaped. The Merriweather was another classic example.* *Similar in shape and design though they were, in decor they were galaxies apart. This new vessel was as black as the void it would soon be sailing through, made from structurally more supportive material, and would have a very different style of teeth. For now all that had been formed was the shell, a set of ribs that formed the frame but were not yet supported by reinforced plates. All the more sophisticated mumbo jumbo would be added in time, though even in its infantile stage, it was breathtaking. Word spread of the semblance the ship shared with the Lack of Faith II, minus of course the ornate nature of the other craft, and unlikely to be crewed by a team of meter tall furry sentient species. In other areas of the factory's assembly housing, twin engines could be seen being assembled. They would be the next section added after the frame was secure. All the while the facility continued its efforts on the other orders it had received, regardless of how dull their appearance was in contrast to the striking vessel.*

Re: Assembly Lines

[action:ekki0g2u]And take over they did. Ewoks scrambled over the ship, prodding and poking the hull, inspecting it with guages and all sorts of strange mechanical devices that this narrator doesn't know the name of. So for the sake of it, let's call them who-habblits and zim-sangers. A work order was given to the foreman in charge, who happened to be none other than the most famous Ewok pilot in the entire galaxy...Skip Blurberry. The famed TSTS pilot eyed the blueprints, turning them over several times, holding a furry thumb up to them, then eventually scrunching them up in a ball and tossing it over his shoulder.[/action:ekki0g2u]

[narration:ekki0g2u]It's not like he could read anyways.[/narration:ekki0g2u] [action:ekki0g2u]Gathering his Woks, Skip began to issue various orders and assign tasks. The flock was quick to respond, tearing off hull plates, ripping out circuitry, and vacuuming up any hair they left on the inside.[/action:ekki0g2u] [narration:ekki0g2u]It was summer after all. They tended to shed just a little in the warmer months. Yes, I realize they are in space currently. But you know what? Suck it.[/narration:ekki0g2u] [action:ekki0g2u]Derringer's Folly was tricked out, and man...no, wait. I mean, and [b:ekki0g2u]Mayon[/b:ekki0g2u], was it awesome. The only thing it was missing was a racing stripe and maybe a spoiler on the back end.[/action:ekki0g2u]

[action:ekki0g2u]It wasn't supposed to have a playstation in the trunk, but they put one in anyways. Maybe the owner might feel like stopping on some galaxy wide journey, toss on the old space suit, and play a couple rounds of WWE Raw vs Smackdown on his down time.[/action:ekki0g2u] [narration:ekki0g2u]Hey, it could happen.[/narration:ekki0g2u] [action:ekki0g2u]Um, what else? Autoturrets, check. Hyperdrive, tweak the engines, bla bla bla bla. Hmmm, let's take another look.[/action:ekki0g2u]

Boarding Measures: One ventral mounted Hull-cutting ring[/url:ekki0g2u], flanked on either side by a set of Magna lock[/url:ekki0g2u] Docking clamps[/url:ekki0g2u]. One turreted G47 tractor beam generator[/url:ekki0g2u], situated on the ventral surface, a meter behind the hull cutting ring (Tractor beam cannot be used in conjunction with weapons, due to power requirements.). It should be noted the hull cutting ring also serves as the ships air lock, and has an initial set of durasteel bulkheads, with a secondary set of blastdoors - magnetically sealable - as the portal to the ship.

Anti-boarding measures: Entire ship has multiple bulkheads that can be Magnetically sealed[/url:ekki0g2u], with Shock-filament's[/url:ekki0g2u] embedded in the entirety of the floor - with the exception of the cockpit. The airlock is made out of heavy fortified durasteel, and is equipped with twin inset Automated sentry guns[/url:ekki0g2u].

Crew: One
Passengers: 4
Troops: 20
Cargo Capacity: 35
Consumables: One month

A Note on the modifications: Ok, so the Banshee[/url:ekki0g2u] was upgraded to twin quad laser cannons, and twin light laser cannons, with NO diminishment in metric tonnage. Where as the Gilded Lily[/url:ekki0g2u] was kept in stock configuration, but was downgraded from eight passengers to four, with an increase form thirty five metric tons to seventy five metric tons. This equates to ten metric tons per person. So what I've done, is I've sacrificed forty metric tons to make room for all of these modifications, as well as the enhanced belly / airlock modifications. I believe this is fair, due to the increase in armament on the Banshee without sacrificing of tonnage.[/quote:ekki0g2u]

[narration:ekki0g2u]Holy poop on a bun! That thing is pretty pimpin'. I wish I was rocking one of those.[/narration:ekki0g2u] [action:ekki0g2u]So that stuff above, that's what they did. Like all of it. When the Woks completed their work, the ship was moved to the hangar bay where the Scrap Collector awaited to escort it out-of-system.[/action:ekki0g2u]

*Possibly as a freak accident... or possibly a result of left over influence from xenophobic programs installed when the now forgotten Adeptus Mechanicus cult had a presence on this station, the bulkhead hatch to the mens room on Assembly deck C slams shut and locks itself every time one of the furry little workers approaches it. However, after the Xeno's move on in search of a more co-operative place to relieve themselves, the hatch re-opens.*

Re: Open Orbit

*A gravitational fluctuation signaled the arrival of an approaching vessel. Small and nimble, the coral craft emerged from the corridors of darkspace, allowing its dovin basals to rapidly decelerate it from light speed as it entered the system. With its glossy black hull the organic vessel was practically invisible against the starry backdrop; however, the ship intentionally gave off the equivalent of a radar ping.* *As the sole occupant was piloting his personal vessel instead of the Praetorite marauder forces, he didn't want anyone to think he was here for trouble* *Manipulating the villip choir, the Intendant flipped on the oggzil, allowing the Yuuzhan Vong communications technology to interact on all the normal electronic infidel frequencies. In other words, he could be contacted via the typical hailing channels.*

*Through the symbiotic link of his cognition hood, Nem's mind absorbed the data collected by the Orifice's sensor nodes. There were several other ships in the system. Judging by the ion emissions he was picking up, they had recently arrived as well. It was just as the yorik-vec slowly glided towards the asteroid field that the explosions began.*

"Harla's tits!" *Cursed Nem, mentally manipulating the flight controls of his ship in order to avoid being struck by exploded debris. He spun the nimble craft around, putting some distance between himself and the rest of the exploding structures. The Intendant then began to broadcast on all channels, hoping to get the ear of whoever was in the system.*

:: Oye! You bloody well trying to kill me? If you are going to start blowing things up, set up some warning beacons. One of those blasts nearly clipped my hull. Yorik-coral doesn't grow on trees, you know. :: *He paused.* :: Well, actually it does. It grows on just about anything. But that's not important. Who is in charge around here? I want to speak to your manager. ::
