*The sky fell this day in Salis D'aar.
From the heavens came so many ships streaking down that even droids were having trouble tracking them. Alongside them were Mecha-war hawks, firing missiles are any anti-air batteries, those few that were even there. After taking out the anti-air they moved on towards disabling the civilian shuttles attempting to flee. Any that would not go back down were shot down. And those few that escaped the Hawks would be annihilated by the fleet in orbit above.
Marauder clones began pouring into the city from the South and West. Platoons were moving into buildings like ants crawling over a dead carcass. Flashes of blue were competing with the planet's star to light the city. While the clones would have preferred to just cut the enemy down, they instead used stun rounds to insure less casualties. The Mecha-war Hounds and Mecha-war Marauder's, the giant droid version of the clone, began moving North immediately, to cut off or cut down and escape attempt. More transports began unloading additional clone soldiers from the East, effectively cutting off this route.
Mecha-war beasts, ten thousand attached to this army, began raining down from their transports. Instead of unloading from the ground, the jet packs on their backs allowed for much more mobility. Using this to their advantage they began landing on the roofs, preventing a rooftop escape. They utilized their sound systems to full effect blasting any nearby victim with high decibel and high frequency noise, enough so that it would cause a human's ears to bleed. Once a roof top had been established they began pushing the civilians back down, into the awaiting marauder clones. A stun round to the back and a pair of tie-wraps later, the subdued captive would be laid out in the street to await pickup. As the advanced teams were making major headway into the city, the secondary teams were loading the captives into trucks for processing. The tertiary teams were just now striking.
The third group of soldiers were specialized teams. Only numbering ten groups of fifty, these teams were hitting Salis D'aar's banks, vaults, major corporations and other large financial centers. These teams were intent on stealing as much money as possible through bank transfers and thefts. Using extreme caution and care, the teams would take alive, then force their captives to empty said vaults, transfer credit lines and hand over keys to safes. With the city crumbling around them, these people were being forced to suck the financial life out of the planet's holdings. In a backwater planet, this might account for tens or hundreds of thousands. In a major planet like Bakura, this could mean billions.
The last group of soldiers were made up of fifteen thousand men. With weapons strapped to their backs and a casual demeanor, they stuck out like a sore thumb in a battle field. But like the tertiary teams they had an important job to do. They were the pillagers of the army, going through house by house, building by building, block by block, stealing anything of value. Safes, weapons, vehicles, anything worth something was being taken. Shops were being ransacked, stores were being raided and businesses were being completely robbed. These spoils of way would either be sold off on the black market, or they would be used for the war effort. Nothing would be wasted.*
