How to use this Forum

A little rundown of how this works, this is for anyone who wants to plan out an RP plot, advertise their group philosophy and RP style, allow newcomers to be involved in upcoming RPs, etc, etc. Please ask any questions relating to this forum and its usage in this thread. Thank you

Well, I like it Hoge, but this isn't exactly what we had in mind. I am assuming that this is being created exclusively in place of the group, 'Free RPers Guild' as requested under 'Consult the Whills', so if I am mistaken and that group is being formed, please disregard the following.

Let me explain why a group, which is what we asked for, is better...

#1. While I do like the RP Planning section, it really doesn't address the problem of overcrowded boards and lost/bastardized threads, since part of the JvS RP board functionality was for that purpose.

#2. This isn't what we really wanted, because it still fails if it comes down to passive attitudes on behalf of the players, especially given that time can be short and we don't receive notifications of new stuff posted here.

#3. A group, like we proposed, would be superior to this. This doesn't do what we intend it to do: which was to have a group together whose members were basically agreeing to the fact that we would PM them when new scenarios were being planned. Furthermore, if they didn't like it, it was as easy as removing membership to stop the messages. With this, it's not so. We can't exactly go through and PM everyone, because they're not conveniently grouped under one heading...

With this, I really feel as though it won't solve things. The occasional few will still look here...but for the most part, I don't know that it will offer anything the JvS RP board didn't. And it still won't solve the problem of cluttered boards...moreover, with the group, all one would have to do is join and then receive instant gratification by way of personal message.

This is actually not what you guys requested and it is instead our way of sort of having a bulletin board for RP plots and such. We are still discussing your idea. This is more of a bulletin board for those who want to join another RP, whether it be as a side character, or a main character, so rather than have to go to each planet and figure out what is going on, people can come here and see that "ok, Whill Hoge and Ilium are having a soccer championship, they say that the first ten people to join are welcome, report on Tython" or "The chronicles of Whill Hoge, all spectators welcome, those who want to be a part of the story, please PM me and we will discuss details" and the ever so popular "Whill Hoge, Crisis on Tython: the homeworld of Whill Hoge is under assault by King Arthur, for those who wish to assist Hoge defend his homeworld, please PM Whill Hoge, those wanting to attack, please PM King Arthur" or maybe even " Tython, welcoming all who wish to RP with us, main characters include, Blue balls Thargor, Female(?) whill Terps, The ever hating of profanity Whill Hoge, and the ever frightening Agrajag! inquire at Tython!"

lmao funny how Hoge questions whether Terps is a female or not, you would think being a whill you would know these things.

I'm a bit new, but I would like to play out a force sensitive Human. Whoever is willing to find and train him, then I will try to bring a fun, and hopefully interesting RP to you. Don't know all the details. PM to flesh everything out.
