One day after return from Ryloth

*Nidawi's diplomatic trip to Ryloth to meet with the Head Clan that serves as the planet's government was successful in that, already a member of the Galactic Republic by virtue of the fact they had belonged to the GCCS, the Head Clan had agreed, under certain conditions, to remain so.

The tall, athletically built Selonian had no problem agreeing to the conditions the Head Clan insisted on - consisting primarily of the Republic agreeing that the Sesk'vati, the equivalent of other world's military and police forces combined, be allowed to remain free from interference from any forces that the Republic deemed necessary to ensure Ryloth's defense. As the Sesk'vati have no presence in orbit, Nidawi believes that the Republic can see to that for them, sending only a force large enough to man the defenses that will be in orbit with only a small force that could, if needed, bolster the Sesk'vati forces on the ground in the event that it ever became necessary. After preparing a report that includes her suggestions for the orbital defense forces, Nidawi had sent it to the appropriate channels in the Republic before turning her attention to what news from her homeworld she may have missed while absent from it.*

*Nidawi leaps nimbly over the glaive, angling her torso backwards to carry her away from Cho Hee as, while thrusting the end of her own glaive out horizontally in her outstretched right hand towards her legislative director's mid section, she expresses her own opinions and suggests a possible legislative revision that might resolve the issue.*

*The three, after debating the revision while Nidawi and Cho Hee continue to spar and well into the luncheon they break for afterwards, work throughout the day and most of the night to address as many of the concerns and requests that have been brought to the senator's attention as possible . . . at which point Cho Hee takes her leave, which leaves Nidawi at the mercy of Maira, who refuses to leave until she and Nidawi hash out some outstanding operational matters within Nidawi's office.*

*Nidawi sighs as - after a lengthy meeting with her chief of staff and legislative director it had been concluded that complying with the TDF and Galactic Republic's request to allow the Galactic Republic to assume command of the TDF forces serving as Talus' orbital defenses was the best decision - she finally is able to sit down and enjoy a peaceful moment of solitude and quiet.*

*The personnel serving aboard the ships in Talus' orbit, by and large, will remain the same, Nidawi understands, only their uniforms changing significantly, and the fleet itself becoming the Galactic Republic Ninth Core Battlegroup. Some of the fleet is, at present, away on assignments in the Core Worlds and Outer Rim, Nidawi knows, meaning that the official change will go into effect once they have returned and can be notified by their commanding officers.*

*Nidawi, smiling indulgently as she takes the datapad and examines yet another floor plan for a suite in the 500 Republica residential tower, and, after a moment, says,* "It looks just as acceptable as the other eight you showed me. Find the least expensive one available with three rooms and we'll use it for when we're on Coruscant."
