Open Orbit

Master i could not stop the emergency signal form reaching Dantooine . they may come and attmept to stop your plan and kill you I beg of you Master do not continue this madness.

*Laughing suddenly hearing his padawans words he turns over loking pas tthe corpses filling the controll room*

"OH? them kill me i fear that the way i have the station and my devices set a system wide bomb will kill everyone in this sector you see this wil purge the false jedi and cleanse this part of the galaxy .....the blast wil burn the surface of Dantooine leaving it clean for when the destruction reaches its star......and form there dathomir will fall system after system will burn alive ....even if they get through the defense fleet they will have to approach the facility with their overly large ships with out drift charts and not firing a single shot for fear of setting everything off. then if they manage to get inside the facility they cant risk blaster fire so they will have to face battalions of droids in airless chambers jsut to rach our one section and attempt to shut the system down........these false prophets who claim they are jedi would not stand a chance under th ese conditions and if a militia comes they will blow up this part of the galaxy for me !!!! Either way they would have to reach me before the core unit reaches critical mass and detonates the force accelerated bombs all over this asteroid field..... if they thought the first two tragities were bad wiat till they get a load of this one!"

*lookign at the damned dark wedge of cold material that he knew whispered foul things into his master a sith holocron he frowned*

*A bright flash of lights could be seen some distance outside the system as the CUF Battle group, Fleet Himura, dropped out of hyperspace and began making their way to the planet's orbit. Once in orbit the ships spread out, making a web of sorts around the planet, the commanders were not sure what type of resistance measures they would encounter as they had not been to Dantooine for some time. With the fall of the PI and the disappearances of Masters Rael Starfall and Jess Holt Arden and Murdock had become concerned that the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine might be in jeopardy again and have sent this fleet and it's troopers to ensure that the planet remains free and safe.

The drop pods of soldiers were released from the ships of the fleet and descended toward the planet...*

*The fleet commander had been getting many messages from the surface, none as significant as the one from Master Brandwyn's chair...*

"The Enclave is ours gentlemen... *brief pause as he listens to another report* ... Correction, the planet is ours, Dantooine is officially part of the CUF now. Congratulations gentlemen, let's load our troops and head home."

*What he was not telling anyone was something about the troops that only he knew at the moment. All the troop commanders were remaining behind, stationed on Dantooine and assigned to the planetary defense forces. It was a way for the older soldiers to retire to a very nice and peaceful setting and still collect a full time CUF paycheck...

The shuttles arrived as quickly as they had left, and soon the remnants of fleet Himura were on their way out of the system and back to Haruun Kal, where they would rejoin the rest of their fleet as well as every other fleet in the CUF...*

*With a sickening sense of pseudomotion, a Delaya Courier slipped out of hyperspace. It bore no allegiance colours and had no weaponry, save for the on-board computer's funky personality. Inside, piloting the vessel, was Jedi Knight Sergey Bonteri. Sergey was a Jedi Knight of no exceptional skill, but had life experience to add to his competences. He had been a Jedi Knight for more than a few years, and although he had not been officially deemed as such, he considered himself a good Jedi Knight.

And he was home.*

:: "Okay, Dantooine control, is anyone there? I'm sending down my corresponder codes and request permission to dock at the enclave. Please reply." ::

*The Aviation Control on Dantooine were being very quiet, not responding to Sergey's broadcasts at all. Sergey looked out of his viewport, and so no civilian traffic heading down either. Although there was a trickle of tanker traffic. His conclusion was that the place was habited, just sparsely so and without much traffic, there was no need for a dedicated aviation authority.

Sergey drew up the planetary maps held on the database aboard his starship and selected the Enclave as his destination. Flicking autopilot on, Sergey nipped to the 'fresher and cleaned himself up a bit - there was nothing like the stink of your clothes after a long hyperspace journey.

The Delaya transport was well on its way towards the planet by the time Sergey got back.*

*Planetary control had responded via text message to the ships comm, unless someone was actively reading for it the pilot may not have noticed for some time...*

*The CR-90 Corvette, Fool's Justice, exits hyperspace above Dantooine. Yasmir didn't even have the ship attempt an orbit, just to proceed to the surface, transmitting the relevant data en route. She was not a patient woman and wanted to get things started as quickly as possible. Some have called her rash but never to her face!*

*Dantooine sat in the black canvas of space relatively peacefully. For all an important world she was, Dantooine had no neighbours that she considered enemies and while close to a major trade route, she wasn't a major trading hub. There were plently of incoming and outgoing bulk freighters with agricultural missions in mind, but there was no large stream of public visitors. A trickle of personal freighters and shuttles moved in and out of the planet's gravity well.

Not being a very rich planet, the infrastructure of Dantooine could not hold up a personal fleet and so no warships, planetary defenses or spatial deterents were present. It was a novelty to have such an open system in the tension-filled galaxy.*

"Approaching destination," *announced the ship's intercom. The voice was disembodied and mechanical, and that was because it belonged to the ship. In fact, the ship was controlled by... itself. It was a droid ship, a Ycaqt to be exact, and it belonged to Ayeniner. In the short time they had been together, Ayeniner - the psychotic astromech droid - began to get to know the droid brain that piloted the ship. It was simple; it loved to fly. Ayeniner allowed it its joy, and wheeled from his own personal quarters - a small cubbyhole in the back of the cargo hold which he had refitted as his own personal 'storage' space - and into the cargo hold proper.

Inside was the makings of an army. Droids did not need food, nor air, nor living space. This freighter could hold many a droid. Although cramped, the Ayeniner began activating the various droids around the hold. Most were refitted for battle. For battle there would be; Ayeniner-style.

And now Ayeniner had a very special add-on to his already-sufficient arsenal. The Eralam had given him a lightsaber arm, and it was time he used it. How better to test it than against Jedi?

Dantooine would be his. Then, onward to the universe!

The droid freighter came out of hyperspace seamlessly, and then went on to ping the spatial control for landing permission.*
