Re: Hangar and Garage

*Upon realizing that this man was a Jedi Master, Bix took a short step back and offered a short bow out of politeness, then stood erect once more as he explained the reasoning why he was here: To meet with Aerandir├óÔé¼ÔÇØthat Bix knew├óÔé¼ÔÇØand to "check on the situation at each Academy." Bix couldn't help but be curious about this, but, well, if it was a helpful gesture, then it was welcome. Bix nodded to the man before he spoke.*

*What Bix didn't bother to point out was that Aerandir detested to be addressed as "Master Aerandir," "Master Calmcacil," or "Master" anything when not in a formal setting, unless Bix's simple use of nothing more than Aerandir's first name was a good clue of this. Bix didn't presume to know whether the man was ready to immediately follow him, so Bix only turned his left leg towards the exit, but not the rest of his body; Bix didn't like to rush others.*

Re: Hangar and Garage

Revan noticed the use of only the first name. He nodded to Bix and started to follow. He thought about the first name for a bit and then realized that maybe Aerandir was like him and didn't like the title. Revan smiled. He only used it for introducing himself. Other than that, it made him feel old. 'Funny how when we are young, we want titles, but when we get older, they don't appeal to us anymore.'

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Upon seeing Revan nod and begin to follow, Bix returned the nod and turned away, starting to exit the hangar for the Academy itself. Hopefully Aerandir wasn't too busy, wherever he was, but usually Bix knew when Aerandir and busy, and last time he checked... the man wasn't. Of course, things could change in a matter of minutes, but hopefully they hadn't. "The man's had enough troubles already," he thought with a very soft chuckle as he exited the hangar...*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*The shuttle lands in the hangar from orbit and the wings fold up against the ship. The ramp is lowered but for a moment no one left the ship. Psallo was still trying to reconcile his student. She was so stubborn some times, like with the Echani and the Diathim. Even still, and for the same reason he had told her back on Coruscant, he could not harm her. Some times that drove him mad.... but some times he was glad for the restraint on his hunger.*

She will grow up....And her power will only magnify....After that she could become a threat to the whole galaxy, like Anakin Skywalker became....I'm doing the universe a grate service. Do you not understand that?

But she's only a little girl....I'm fine with what ever you do Master but hunting children?

She still didn't like thinking about it. She looked at him wit ha crisp expression, a biting nature behind her voice.

And you're forcing me to play along with it.

If you could but feel the power rolling off of the girl Aurora....If you could long for it as I do...If you could understand the destructive potential! ...

*His musical voice had reached a crescendo that he quickly tempered before he let his Zeal get the better of him. He stood from his chair and turned toward the ship's exit, motioning for her to follow him. Once she was in front of him He walked down the ramp behind her, a large hand on the slender Rattataki's shoulder.*

Just know I don't like this... What ever your noble feelings are Master.

She spat bitterly, but a few seconds before becoming visible to anyone in the hangar. After she began down the ramp, she put on a rather convening expression of curious nature. Indeed she had never been here, and all she had to do to fain this feeling was press the thoughts of the child from her mind...this she did very well, and very well she glanced around with her clear blue eyes.

Re: Hangar and Garage

*John was returning from the field, having decided to, for once, go for a run. And so he had taken to the large pasture of Belkadan, sprinting, covering the distances between the Academy, the Control Bunker, and Kodeiv quickly. He was, after all, a Spartan, and Spartans ran fast. Very fast. But now he was finished, and actually felt like he had accomplished something in exercise, and was on his way back to the Academy through the hangar's large entrance. And that's when he saw it: A large, very large creature, robed in black, but his skin was golden... Humanoid, but had a dark mane and horns. And his hands had talons and his feet were clawed. From this distance, John could tell that the being was at least as tall as John himself was, and likely a few inches taller. It was... an odd creature. All of these features were tools of intimidation, but its appearance was... beautiful. This was odd to John, but John was a practical man; his thoughts were on the dangerous appendages.

The being was accompanied by a woman who looked smaller than she was compared to the being's height. This woman was hairless, dressed in casual clothing, and John couldn't help but wonder if there was something to be investigated here... Immediately, he opened his personal line to Cortana, and spoke.*

:: Cortana, eyes on in the hangar. You'll know what I'm talking about. What is that? ::
*There was a brief silence as John waited for the AI's response, and when it finally came through, John didn't like the answer.*

*Surprising answer, in John's opinion. Here they had been in this galaxy for so long and yet they hadn't even discovered all the species yet. It was both amazing and disconcerting, but John had only one response.*
:: Whatever it is, I don't like it. ::
*John started to walk towards the wall of the hangar, stepping out of plain sight, but he kept his eyes on the creature behind solid amber faceplate as Cortana responded.*

*John didn't even need the suggestion; he had planned on it already. Hopefully whomever met with this creature would know what they were doing; hopefully if there was a threat, this thing wouldn't cause too much damage before John would have to end it. And John was good at ending things... He had a very large resume in that regard.*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Once again, Bix McDouglas was called upon to be the official greeter of the Jedi Academy of Belkadan. A job he honestly didn't mind, but if that became the only thing he was good for, well, he would just have to make sure he left a high standard for the next guy in line to reach. Which might be slightly difficult, considering how often his eight-year-old sister Shells tagged along.

And so the two appeared now, the only news Bix knew is that someone was interested in the Academy, a student the reports said, but the first thing Bix noticed to his right was the form of the Master Chief in the hangar, to which Bix smiled and waved at, calling out to the man in a friendly greeting, though not necessarily inviting him to come over for a conversation.*

*Shells shot a glance in that direction and shrugged, offering a wave as did her brother before looking forward and sighing again. Bix knew these routines were boring, but it was a good way to keep her out of trouble. Who knew? One day she might start learning how to be polite with visitors if she ever followed his example. Bix, in the meantime, simply carried on, knowing that the Chief and Bix weren't exactly familiar with each other yet, and so did not expect the Chief to join him.

However, what Bix saw almost made him stop in his tracks: At the foot of the ship he was heading for was a very tall creature, golden-skinned, with horns and claws, but with a rather beautiful appearance. It was accompanied by a smaller woman, though hairless, but Bix never saw anything like the larger thing before. It was disorienting, and his eyes widened beneath the sunglasses. Shells, while similarly surprised, recovered more quickly, however, and as the two approached the newcomers, she already had her opening remarks ready.*

*The last comment was aimed at the woman, of course, but that didn't spare Bix a grimace and a quick grip on the child's shoulder. He looked at both creatures apologetically├óÔé¼ÔÇØsomething of a small feat, considering their height differences├óÔé¼ÔÇØand cleared his throat before speaking.*

*Shells didn't seem to take any admonishment from Bix's grip, and his defense was rather weak, but she kept her eyes trained upon the larger being. It was something she had never seen before, and she had meant her words about it looking "cool." But maybe that was an understatement; this thing was fairly beautiful to behold. Not that Shells was much into boys or anything, but she couldn't take her eyes off of him.*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*A soft, melodious chuckle rippled from Psallo's tall yet oddly elegant form as he looked down at the young child. For a moment he scanned her with his deep almost slitted blue eyes. No, She was not the one he was looking for. He smiled at her, revealing his toothy grin and spoke in response, his voice sounding far more than pleasant to the ear.*

Why my child, I am something rarely seen anymore, rarer than the fabled Angels of the galaxy. I'm a musician.

*After this rather vague response he looked over toward Bix and nodded with the same smile, though a bit more reserved than before when he had been looking at Shells.*

It's quite alright. I'm Psallo Kyrie, and this here is my student Aurora Vail. I must confess that I'm not considered a Jedi, and there are some things she wishes to learn that I simply cannot teach her. I thought that perhaps you could.

*He put his hand once more on Aurora's shoulder and squeezed it gently, adding emphasis who he was speaking of, even though it was obvious.*

Aurora blinked as the young child addressed her. She looked down at her and tilted her head for a moment. Well she supposed rarely her people left her homeworld so... it might make sense as to why the child had never seen any of her species before. And ...she was a child after all. She sighed slightly and mustered a smile.

Well um...Shells? yes, Shells, I'm a Rattataki....we normally don't have hair.

She said, and then biting her lip as Psallo spoke of her and put his hand on her shoulder. Every child in Aurora's mind was a target now... and she was just waiting on the one her Master was looking for to innocently come into view and him to devour her. She wasn't looking forward to it.

To occupy her mind she looked over at where Bix was and smiled sheepishly, playing the part of a slightly shy student perfectly. Her eyes drifted however and she spotted the man ....the rather tall man in armor at the other side of the room looking at them, though there was no expression, his face was hidden. Something struck her numb at the sight of him, but she didn't know why and quickly turned her eyes away to look back at Bix.

Re: Hangar and Garage

*John heard someone call his name and the tall, green-armored man looked in the direction of the source of the sound, only to find Bix and his sister├óÔé¼ÔÇØShells, John thought she was called. Bix was waving at him and then continued moving forward, towards the strange creature and its companion. John knew what Bix was doing; the two men were not all too familiar with each other and did not expect a conversation. John normally would have just nodded to him and continued on. But it was a perfect opportunity to get closer to the creature, and so, instead of nod and move away, John nodded and decided to angle towards Bix.

He approached the scene just in time, staying behind Bix a few feet and in plain sight, keeping the two strangers in his own HUD view. His movements, despite his large figure and weight of his armor, were near-silent. He had heard the creature speak thanks to his advanced hearing, something about his species being incredibly rare, more rare than angels, though he wasn't sure "musician" was the actual species name. Then he named himself "Psallo Kyrie" and his accomplice "Aurora Vail." They were not Jedi, apparently, but were interested in its arts. Sounded suspicious to John. The creature's voice may have been melodious and pleasant, but John was analytical: His focus was on the words, not the sound of the voice. John had seen too many beautiful things turn on him already; he wasn't about to let another do the same.

At this distance, he could tell that the woman was pale, which he thought at first was merely in comparison to the creature's own tone, but she was, in fact, rather pale. And he was searching them for threats, but he kept his body still; if one had not seen him move earlier, they would think him a statue, arms to his sides, head lowered slightly, face hidden beneath a cold amber faceplate...*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*It was strange enough seeing this creature's appearance up close and almost being mesmerized by it, but when it spoke... It was like nothing they had ever heard before. Like it was more music than words. It created something of a dreamy look in Shells's eyes and an interested one in Bix's, but the creature's words were not lost on Bix, but when Aurora spoke, a sound that was almost harsh in comparison to the voice they had just heard, they seemed to snap out of the trance as Shells looked up at Aurora to give her answer.*

*Perhaps as more of a subconscious reaction than intentional, Shells raised her right hand and swept back some of her shoulder-length black hair. Bix frowned at this and sighed, shaking his head, but instead of admonishing the child, he only spoke to Psallo.*

*He gestured with his hand to follow, then turned inwardly towards Shells so that he could be sure she would turn as well. Which she did, but not without throwing a glance over her shoulder. As they turned, however, they were surprised to see that the Chief was standing just behind them, and Bix even jumped a bit before smiling, albeit a bit nervously; he hadn't expected the Chief to come this way at all, after all.*

*For a moment, Bix thought he sounded like he was rambling, or at least assuming incorrectly that the reason the Chief was here at all was to speak with him. Bix quickly shrugged this off however and continued onwards, leading his new charges towards wherever Aerandir may be at the moment...*

*Psallo looked over at the large armored figure for a brief moment. He wasn't sure, but the force warned him about this one. The force told him that... he would see this man again some how, and the next meeting would not be pretty. He payed no mind to this at the moment. For now he just followed Bix, and the young child along with Aurora.*

Aurora was a bit more uneasy around the larger man. She looked up at him briefly in passing but didn't make an expression, and didn't seam to want to look at him more than she had to. She did manage to smirk at the child though as she followed Psallo and the others quietly.

*John remained where he stood, though it was clear John was focusing on Bix, judging by how the visor had turned to look upon the man as he spoke. He heard the words, and it was almost humorous what the man had just said in regards to John being there, but there was no time for humor. John nodded to him and he stepped to the side, allowing the pair to pass. John turned his head to follow the two as they walked, the faceplate perhaps intimidating. He did not like this being one bit so far... Something about its appearance and its story just didn't add up to the Spartan. But somehow, John did not choose to follow them. John had to manage things his own way. Immediately he headed to a different part of the Academy... One where he could be sure he was properly armed...*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Xantos walked into the hangar bay and headed for his shuttle, he wasn't quite sure what could have gone wrong on the ship, Yamato had kept the message short, but from what he understood pirates were trying to take it, and Yamato thought it was a good idea to capture them first. It could be a good idea to see if more were coming, or if it was just a small group attack, but one thing for sure. Xantos was gonna take these pirates and their ship orbiting the planet, if the pirates wouldn't convert to his crew, he was gonna take them to a prison in kodeiv. He climbed up the ramp of one of his shuttles and hit the button on the wall, the ramp closed as he sat into the pilots seat, he started up the ship and strapped himself into the seat. He checked everything real quick and launched the ship out of the bay heading for orbit, and eventually for The Fallen Soul.*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Psallo finally made it into the hangar. It took quite a lot of willpower not to just collapse right there, but he had to get to his ship and he had to get out of this hangar. He dropped the unconscious form of Aurora quite unceremoniously to the floor and worked with the force to open his ship and lower the ramp. It was difficult to focus this much on anything with pain screaming through his body. His will to escape focused for him, and he allowed the ramp to lower.

It was taking longer than he had of wanted and he turned from the ship to make sure he wasn't too closely followed. His eyes trained themselves on the Spartan's quickly moving form and he knew that any more time spent here would just be more bullets stuck in his body, which was riddled with broken bones and bullet holes already. He didn't think he could afford anymore.

Bending down he attempted to lift Aurora from the ground again, while he was backing up the Ramp of his ship. It was hard to lift anything with one broken wrist, and dislocated shoulder. He'd have to put the ship on auto to get off this rock and to another remote area to heal himself. For now, there was the task of getting his wayward apprentice on board, and getting himself on board himself.....alive*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Steady, steady pace. Tailing Psallo, whose speed was difficult to keep up with even in his injured form, especially for a Spartan. He would have unloaded his clip were it not for the woman in the beast's arms. But he had to keep a level head and just try to keep up; Psallo would lose ground trying to get into his ship for sure. And as he ran across the grounds and into the hangar, he was right: Psallo had had to dump her on the ground before trying to tend to his ship, trying to get the ramp open.

Perfect.

John ran up until Psallo was within range of his assault rifle. He then slowed and stopped in a crouch, raising his assault rifle and aiming both with his eyes and with the reticle on his HUD. As he attempted to lean over and take the woman again, John offered up a three-round burst of bullets directly towards the center of Psallo's frame. Even in this state, in this darkness and with quick reflexes needed, John delivered; if any of the bullets pinged off again, they would be sent in directions away from the woman, just as John had calculated even from this distance.*

Let her go.
*The rounds fired had spurred the attention of the few tech crew at their posts at this late hour, and several of them looked around worriedly, some even attempting to contact Academy security. John cared not; his only focus was on Psallo releasing the woman. Unfortunately, there was now a good chance Psallo could get away. ... if he could somehow fly that ship of his. But he wanted to be certain that the creature that claimed itself a demon would remember a true Demon. Yeah, if Psallo had to live, John would be more than satisfied if he got away with the Spartan's image in his mind's eye, haunting him, constantly reminding him of his mortality... That would be a more fitting punishment than death for this creature...*

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Pain. More of it. Psallo heard the sounds of the bullets coming for him, and he moved as quickly as he could out of the way, Even still, one ripped across his back, pinging off his hide and leaving a mark that trickled blood. He had to leave. He had to leave now. He looked down at his Apprentice and sneered. He'd be back for her.... Oh yes, he would be back.

Looking over at Jhon, He growled and released his pain and anger in the form of a force push, but this one was aimed at a crate to Jhon's left, against a wall. The thing would fly toward the Spartan, hopefully giving the Demon enough time to get onto his ship. Once there he mentally pressed the needed buttons to allow the ramp to lift and snap closed. He crawled to the controls, and put the ship on auto and the thing began to rise off the ground and make it's way out of the hangar.*

The Rattataki's form flinched slightly and she cracked open her eyes. The first thing she heard was was a ship taking off, but the first thing she saw was the tall opposing form of Jhon standing there, weapon in hand. A light cry of fear came through her parted lips and she turned, groaning in pain as she did so.

The ship was gone.

And she was left alone with this person who she thought would try and harm her, standing right there. She looked back up at Jhon with fear stricken eyes and attempted to slink away from him, but each movement she made caused her to become dizzy. She lifted a hand to her head and winced.

Blood.

She closed her eyes, huddling her frame against a crate and hoping he'd leave, or walk away, praying he'd not gun her down right then and there for her alliance. She didn't think words would help....she felt abandoned. alone.. and afraid.

Re: Hangar and Garage

*Psallo managed to avoid getting hit by all the shots, but one bullet did manage to tear open a mark in the beast's hide, and that was good enough for John. He remained in his crouch, sights trained, even as Psallo growled at him and seemed to focus his gaze upon something. John knew that look already; had learned to identify that look. It was the look of a Force-user about to exert its focus upon some object. John quickly turned to look where the creature was focusing, and immediately saw the crate coming in John's direction. In a quick flash of movement, John stood and dived to the left, simultaneously rolling out of the path of the crate and closer towards the ship. But then he heard the hiss of the ramp and turned quickly, but Psallo was already up the ramp. But the woman was still on the ground; at least John had completed that objective.

John aimed his rifle towards the ship's side and fired off a few rounds on the side of the hull, not caring what effect it would or wouldn't do; he just wanted to leave some other mark to fulfill himself in some way. He looked at the rounds counter, which had dropped from 32 rounds to 18. But that was it. The ship was away. The monster had gotten to Morgan. And he had escaped. John couldn't find solace at all in the fact that he had at least stopped the beast from getting through Morgan further. He would have rather have fully protected her. Whether or not she survived├óÔé¼ÔÇØ and who was he to kid himself? He had seen plenty of comrades die before him. Had watched them accept their fate. Samuel. Johnson. "Send me out... with a bang." But Morgan wasn't like that. She was a child, ambushed in one of the greatest stages of her life. The last thing on her mind would be acceptance of death. Whether or not she survived, John had failed.

And he looked to the woman. He had saved her from Psallo's wrath. That at least was a success. But she was just a stranger to him. She may have potentially saved Morgan's life, but she wasn't Morgan. And yet, John couldn't help but feel grateful. But she seemed fearful of him. Rightfully so, perhaps. He had to rectify that, even as a team of security agents and even a Jedi appeared in the hangar, obviously to investigate what was happening. The Jedi approached him, but John waved him down.*

It's too late now. He got away.
*The Jedi stopped. Then, suddenly, nodded. He recognized the figure, and knew that his word was trustworthy. But he couldn't help but feel curiously. However, John had no time for him. He looked away from the Jedi and towards the woman, and started to approach her. He triggered the safety on his rifle reached up with his right arm, reattaching the gun to his back. He approached slowly, trying to appear as harmless as a behemoth like him could. Then he looked down upon her through his amber faceplate.*
Relax. You're safe now. Let's get you some medical attention.
*He crouched down slightly├óÔé¼ÔÇØhe was a large being├óÔé¼ÔÇØand extended a hand for her to take. Of course, John was much more concerned about finding Morgan and making sure she was getting the medical attention that she needed, whether or not she would survive. He had to hold out that hope. But he had to keep it together and keep his priorities straight. And his priority as a soldier was to make sure the wounded were tended to. This woman was wounded. And if he could get her to the medical wing, he would be able to check on Morgan's status as well.*

Re: Hangar and Garage

Her eyes widened as he approached her and knelt down. His hand extended and she shied away from it timidly. Looking at him with her clear blue orbs she shook her head. She couldn't dream of taking thees people's hospitality after what she'd done. She didn't trust this being either. For all she knew, he could grab her, and snap her in two, just like a twig. He reminded her of her Master, large...threatening.

Could he be just as deceptive?

She didn't want to risk it. She turned her eyes to the Hangar's exit and then flicked them back to Jhon. Slowly, like leaving a bear's sights, she backed away from him, almost like a frightened deer. As soon as she was a few feet away from him she turned and ran. Standing upright too fast made her stumble quite horribly, but she managed to make it to the hangar exit. She paused, clutching at the wall and hunching over, lowering her head and fighting to keep her balance. Then she was off again, darting out of sight behind the open hangar exit.

Once she was out of sight, she found a place, hidden from the Academy, behind a tree, facing away from it. Sliding down the tree she closed her eyes, and allowed tears to well up within them. Her head throbbed, blood coated her cheek and now was smeared by the tears. She didn't care. She'd been betrayed, abandoned, and now she was sure that man would be after her to kill her. Right now...she didn't know what to think anymore.... and so she stopped thinking.

And the light whispered to her...

Re: Hangar and Garage

*John watched her carefully as he attempted to lend her aid. He wasn't sure what she'd think; he'd just rescued her from Psallo, after all, but she had been briefly unconscious for most of that, so maybe she didn't realize it. Plus, he remembered how she had seemed uneasy around him when he had seen her and Psallo up close for the first time just earlier this same day. Maybe she didn't trust him then and still didn't. Maybe she was just afraid of him. John, after all, was a tall mass of green armor and expressionless helmet. An intimidating figure; practically a myth even in his own dimension. It was a visage meant to strike fear into the enemies of humanity and inspire morale in those the Spartans protected. But in this dimension, there was no SPARTAN program. He was unknown to all. So in all honesty, he could not blame the woman for wanting to retreat from him.

Which she did. Scrambling away and turning and fleeing the hangar. John stood to his feet, though slowly, and watched her leave. Where was she running to? And why? She was afraid of him, that much was painfully clear, but was it deeper than that? Maybe a moral issue? She seemed hesitant when Psallo confronted her, to the point Psallo had to incapacitate her. And if she had alerted Ambar to Psallo's threat, perhaps morality was the core issue. It had to be. That would mean that she was no longer a threat. He just hoped she wouldn't keep herself secluded; she obviously needed medical aid. Not immediate aid, but still. But there was someone else who required medical aid. And John intended to see that person right away. He glanced around at the security crew and nodded, but before they could attempt to question him further, he was away, darting back to the Academy, not listening to their questions of information. Psallo was gone, that was that, but John would be playing the role of Demon once again as his visage would no doubt haunt Psallo and constantly remind him of his mortality, despite his claims of invincibility. John now only cared about Morgan. And he would be there to see the little warrior soon.*

*Aerandir hurried to catch up with John, then overtook him so that he could lead the way to the hangar and to a proper ship. As usual, there was a Lamba-class shuttle Aerandir had in mind, and he approached the ship quickly. He headed beneath it and entered the code to open the ramp. Once it hissed and lowered, Aerandir ran up the ramp, where he would wait just long enough to make sure John had no issues with carrying the tank up. Then he would point out a good spot for the tank to rest while he ran ahead to the cockpit, getting the ship ready for launch by powering up the engines and waiting for everyone to become settled. There wasn't much time to waste. And so he simply sat there, opening a comm line to the cargo area, waiting for John's verdict before he would take off.*
