Re: Fel Crew

Two things.

1. I just remembered, I'm standing INSIDE the Loronar again, having followed Fel and Oz up to look at the UA, meaning I may or may not be within hearing distance of 'Rana and Logan's conversation about artifacts. I need another link to the ship schematics to figure things out, but last I checked, colonialchrome was down or something.

2. Seros MIGHT be inclined to help Dante out. Not sure..but if Jace asked for his assistance, Seros wouldn't think twice.

Consider the desperate-and-slightly-flashback-oriented cry for a medic as an open invitation. I think it's about time Jace and Seros meet. I've been wondering what the reactions will be when they find out that the other is Force sensitive ( I mean, Jace already knows. But Seros doesn't, yet.)

Re: Fel Crew

Sounds good, Jace.

Was there any particular direction you and Dante were planning to go with this little crisis, before I start posting in?

Also, not sure if what I'll be posting is..medic-worthy, as I personally have little to no experience in the medical field. Input from Dante on which course I should take would be peachy keen. Best thing I can think of right now is hook up an IV, but beyond that, I'm clueless. (..leave it to me to write a doctor/anatomy expert and not know how to handle blood poisoning. >_>)

Re: Fel Crew

No worries. The way I have things written, and this SHOULD correct itself. Just get me to the medbay, get me hooked up to a bacta feed - and I'll take care of the rest. You can also get all the dye and disguise elements off; I intend to rid my disguise now that Strahl has seen me.

*Waves to all*

Hey luv, I sure have left a note or something when I up and disappeared again but I didn't so let appolize for that one. As for my health issues they have been taken care of. It turn out what was closing my air ways wasn't asma like that thought was just giving me more meds on top of the ones that I was taking but my blood pressure med itself was causing me to slowly not breath. I will be full back in a few week, as have one more health issue to take care of with surgry then should be good as new.

If someone could please tell me where you all been writing so I could start to read up when I have the change I would love it.

Re: Fel Crew

Okay... been doing some thinking, based on the big GC discussion from a coupla nights ago. (apologies that not all were involved... but for this crew, it was as close to full participation as is ever possible.)

The main thrust of the conversation stemmed from Lor and myself: I have been feeling increasingly guilty about the fact that we turned tail and left Wade, after escaping Coruscant. True, there were those who saw him taken. There were those who thought him dead and gone. Point is, Fel doesn't believe it. Not because the Force is telling me so, or due to any scientific method of calculating the odds. No, for Galdaart, it's a combination of playing a hunch, the duty and bond of brotherhood (carried over from his time in the Imperial Navy) that won't allow him to leave a downed man behind, and simple stubbornness that refuses to believe Wade is dead until he sees it with his own eyes (and might have something to do with Dazac.)

So, the thing is, I didn't listen to Galdaart's needs as a PC. I ignored what Fel would obviously do (go after Wade) in the interest of new players, and a new SL. (namely, Dante, Seros, and Daniel, and the 'artifact' SL which I think was the brain-child of both Daniel and Dante... and the peripheral PC's that have come on as the plot unfolds: Sky, Faith and the Noghri, Kaali, Oz.) I was especially conscious of handing over the SL reins because in the past, 90% of what our crew has done has been of my design (Ord Mantell, our first trip to the 'Run, anything to do with Kaarn or Darkwell, Malora's kidnapping, the fight with Rend, the trip to Kessel... it goes on.) I started to feel (maybe wrongly?) that some were tiring of my steering the plots of our adventure. So I ignored the obvious course.

But the thought that was at the back of my mind, like an itch I couldn't scratch, was independently echoed by Lor. That woke me to the reality that we should never have left Wade. I NEVER ignore Fel's goals. Because 99% of the time, what he wants serves the crew and the SL. So, I'm having a change of heart and mind.

I'm going after Wade.

Now, at this point, (and heck, even as soon as we were in Coruscant orbit) I have no idea where to look for him. But Galen does. So in essence, we're going after Galen, to go after Wade. I'm not going to plan it all out, because that's not my style.

Suffice it to say that: we will finish repairs. We will finish what's going on on Skip One, and Kaali will have a chance to find Seros (either following the Bronze Star when she lifts off, or accompanying Liya back to the Independence, or another option I haven't thought of or am not privy to.)

We will shed dead weight. Sam & Myranda and the Millenium Eagle will (as long as it's approved by Oz) stay behind with the Independence. I cannot take the time, nor should my crew, of writing for, and including PC's who are inactive. It isn't fair. So though I don't want them gone permanently, I only want them around if the PC's themselves are actively writing. So for now, I'd prefer they stay behind.

Now. As for the 'artifact' SL. Let me be clear. I was, and continue to be quite happy to write as I have been writing. With Dante and Daniel driving the plot forward ('cause it isn't my plot!) I have more time for self-reflective posts, and posts about Wrench, which all-too-often I can't do, because I'm moving us forward. i know this might change things with some who are writing with us just for the sake of this SL. I don't want that, but I also can't dictate that you stay while we gallivant off to rescue a man who may or may not already be dead.

Does this mean I'm breaking my deal with Dante? I guess it depends on perspective. In Fel's eyes, it's just a delay. He has every intention of making good his promise of tracking down that artifact. I would be HAPPY to have you all remain aboard. But that is your decision. The reality is, this crew doesn't do anything in half measures. Going off to get Wade back likely means three months IRL away from the 'artifact' plot. Because there are lots of us, and it takes time to allow for everyone to post.

I don't have all the answers. Liya has a side plot lined up. Dante might seek retribution for Fel breaking his word. There are a thousand possibilities I haven't thought of.

All I can tell you is what I'm gonna do.

Weigh in, folks.

-Fel

Re: Fel Crew

With regards to you steering the plots, you're the captain. It's your prerogative to have the final say. When we're being employed by another entity (such as Dante) it's still your ship and crew and therefore your call, even if you let the employer dictate the goals and the plot for a while.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that anyone who has an OOC problem with you acting like the captain doesn't really belong on the crew. In character problems are a whole different thing though... because let's be honest, nobody gets along ALL the time.

With regards to the rest, I can't really disagree. Though my own plans and situation have changed a bit since that discussion in GC, and I'll likely be heading back to Nar Shaddaa fairly soon (from hoth, where I ended up in order to throw off bounty hunters Galen sent to either test me or retrieve me. it didn't work). This doesn't really affect your immediate plans, but I thought I'd let you know.

Re: Fel Crew

Honestly? It's your ship - and your team. As far as I'm concerned, it's your right to exercise your wishes.

IC, Dante's been hurt pretty bad. And I've been struggling for a way to get him healed in time to go after Strahl. This actually plays well into my own hands - Dante's too weak to defend himself, and has also had his identity blown; he's open, exposed, and ripe for killing. As far as Dante's concerned, his first instinct is to vanish, lay low, regather his strength, and then strike hard. If you approach Dante with your intent to go find your missing crewman, Dante would probably ask if he can stay aboard - there's not much better than an erratic smuggling ship jumping around the galaxy to keep evil at bay.

Once his strength is back, and once Wade is recovered (however that plays out) Dante would probably enlist your help once again to track down the artifact.

Re: Fel Crew

I literally don't care where we go or what we do (most of the time) as long as I'm taking names and kicking choobies with the crew and my homies. With that said, consider me along for whatever ride we choose to go on.

Just a suggestion for Myranda and Sam, we could always just have them be pilots of the Red Cred. They'd watch over the ship up in orbit while we fly down to planets in the Bronze Star and the UA and complete our objectives. Just an alternative option if people were opposed to leaving them. As I said before, I'm neutral and will be along with the crew with whatever choice they make. I'm not opposed to having our Ageless Couple stay aboard the Independence, as we've adopted many awesome players onto our ship. Free's up space I suppose.

As for Dante's plan, I'd put my vote to have him stay. Jace will want to have his old friend close to insure his safety, and to keep an eye on him.

Re: Fel Crew

I suppose that means my input is wanted as well? To echo sentiments made earlier, you're the captain so you're supposed to drive the story while the rest of us follow. Sure other things come up but I believe it is you that has the final say.

IC, Daniel won't be overly excited to go rushing back toward the Jekk, he'll be terrified actually but if he knows that there is a man left behind that may have been captured by those things then he couldn't in good conscience stand back and let him possibly die or worse. I suppose in Daniel's mind he would want someone to save him if the roles were reversed and perhaps he may feel a bit of guilt, in his mind knowing that if efforts weren't so concentrated on protecting him that this might not have happened at all.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Daniel will be along for the ride, and who knows, maybe even his smarts will be put to good use.

Re: Fel Crew

I'm game. While Wade put down what I think is essentially the most fair and ethical response, this will give Seros more time to exercise his key points and 'growing pains' as a character. He'll feel responsible, too..being that Wade was the one who offered his escape route.

I'll bring Serin in once we've reached a decent locale where a swoop chase is feasible without freezing our collective asses off.

As I see that Neph wasn't talked about at all. Once she founds out that going after Wade or at less to look for him she be with it. Seeing it was Wade the once she new on board the best. Thought him like a brother. I will be working on a tinkering post sometime the next couple of days. To kind of feel in what she been doing to help speed the repairs around. If anything is different just let me know either her or a PM if have any idea on that.

Re: Fel Crew

It would probably be best if you avoided tinkering on the UA, since Oz's people are in the middle of hauling it out of he loronar and into his workshop, but the loronar itself is fair game.

Re: Fel Crew

That all sounds fair, Fel. My plans don't have a specific timetable, and most of it probably needs to wait for Dante to heal up, anyway. I'll just have to wait and see where it goes. The information I'm about to recover from the encrypted datacard will probably interest both Dante and Seros a great deal, and give them a reason to stick around.

Kaali: I've had some kind of sinus infection slowing me down, but I'll try to post tonight.
