Re: Madame Gyselle's Tasticake Palace
*I do not like being scolded, but it seems thus was how it was going to be. I look at Ayala and feign a smile at her, though I feel as though she would find it more fear inspiring than reassuring. My eyes meet back with Corr once more and I feel the presence he portrays. I feel like I should respect this man, but something inside me resists. Something deep inside me feels unstable by this man's generosity, and I sense that I am going to be robbed of something by the end.*
I can see you have no lie in your eyes, Corr Vhett. You are being far kinder than most, and if I am to trust you, it would be good for you to understand I believe when things are too good to be true, they always are. I accept your hospitality though, I welcome it even. Living has rarely been kind to me, perhaps even a moment of relaxation will do me good. I thank you both, I will be here when you call for me.
*I nod toward Gyselle and Corr politely and bid them farewell for now. I raise my arm for Ayala to grab hold of and to lead me to my chambers that have been offered. She was not something one would call unattractive and the notion was not lost on my mind, nor my other carnal desires. I let a slight half smile fall across my face as I look forward to a nice long shower, and looking at the pretty girl in front of me, it won't be alone.*
