*Construction on the gargantuan structure adjacent to the Fortress has been completed. Treasury officials supervise as the workers clean up the remaining debrie from the job as well as the dismantelling of the supply depot and the storing of the exess materials within the fortress to serve as spare parts and a small inventory.*

*With the shield generator complete, the 1st division of the 1st IA Legion moves in to position. Two regiments are placed on frontline (see below), while the last is placed in the fortress itself.

The frontline is the Bunker/tunnel systems outside the fortress, safeeguarding the only way to approach Tawntoon. Through out it are dozens upon dozens of bunkers, all connected by the tunnel system, inside each are a pair of E-Web Repeating Blaster turrets and a stockpile of extra weapons. Closer to the fortress, many serve as mortar emplacements, each having four versatile mortars.*

*Transports land on the Fortress and they put a DSS-02 shield generator on inside the fortress and it covers the entirety of it..*

OOC: Vehicles have been officially transfered under my command by Kage Acheron for use as PLANETARY FORCES, check with Kage to confirm. I realise I can't use all of them so I will classify them and scale them back to fit the rules.*

*Part of the new additions to the Planetary Defense Forces move out to help defend Nunurra. Moving to defend Nunurra are; 300 MZ-8 Mobile Pulse Cannons (Heavy) and 500 Missile Attack Launchers (Light). The 600 Canderous-class assault tanks (Medium) move to the hidden location where Malum's Juggernaughts are, undetected. The 500 TIE Defenders (Light) move to where Malum's three Acclamator's are undetected as well.*

*Since 50 Missile Attack Launchers were not in use, they were moved with 2,000 Stormtroopers to defend the Fortress. The order comes from Darth Malum to power up the surface-to-orbit defenses. The fortress' shield activates until power is fully charged for the weapons.*

OOC: OK, the Interplanetary Ion Cannon is not used against planets like it is in Canon. It was only built because of its power.*

*With the cannons fully charged, the shield drops letting the 2 V-180 Anti-orbital ion cannons and the Interplanetary ion cannon fire a quartet of shots into space. The shield then returns to position, the 2 lesser ion cannons rotating to cover while they and their 'big brother' recharge.*

*Since those cannons were primed to fire upward into space at various angles, an attack from the side would be enough to keep the Fleet from succumbing to any heavy ion fire. The Fleet had seen the installation from somewhere right above the cannons and had veered off course to avoid being hit, but had gone far to the right of the Fortress as they came in. Now, Alphei was having the Fleet even out with only four hundred meters between the ground and the bottoms of the ships.

The ion cannons were now directly in front of them with the shields protecting them. Of course, they had gotten into a position where the Ion Cannons could not swivel far enough to the side to hit the Fleet. Alphei, with the Sabaoth Destroyer leading point on the tight diamond formation of the Fleet, was charging every weapon they had to attack that shield and then take down the cannons from the base.*








*Alphei nodded and continued watching as his Fleet closed in on the ground based cannon fortress. Once it fell, the battle above would definitely swing in favor of the invading Mandalorians. He steepled his fingers in anticipation for the most crucial point of the entire battle.*

*They had reach optimal range where the ion cannons were in perfect range for the attack. The ships spread out to all get clean shots at the enemy shields. When everyone was in range, the massive amounts of turrets and guns opened fire on the shields encompassing the Fortress. It had to fall within this battle. And while being hammered, lowering the shields for more bursts just allowed enemy shots to penatrate the defenses.*

OOC: lol, for some reason, this has been the third time I've used my Fleet for ground based attacks. You could say I am getting good at it.*

*Alphei watches as the shields flicker slightly from the attack. He makes sure the Battle Dragons' Triple Ion Cannons were in effect and firing strong, seeing as the faster these shields fall, the faster the battle gets easier for the Mandolorians above. Alphei shook his head and watched as the sky lit up with blasterfire from the battle. It was oddly soothing...but the booming of the cannons all around him snapped him back to reality that at any moment, a PDF could turn out from the fortress and hit them from 400 meters below. Realizing this, Alpheio turns to his closest officer.*

*Alphei wonders why nothin is happenign past those shields. He had nearly gotten 20% of the shields down, but that didn't fix anything just yet. At least something would be happening inside those shields in the ways of defenses. The ion cannons were totally still. Alphei didn't like it. He turned back to the closest Deck Ensign.*









*Alphei rested his chin on his fist and watched the shields contiue flickering before him. Whatever was happening, it wasn't good. Then, he noticed the ion cannons and thought about how they had to open up only one space to admit the blast before returning the shields. He turned to a second officer.*





*Alphei waited with an anxious air about him. The officer had the answer.*











*Alphei turned back to the frontal view. He watched as their cannosn began focusing on the specfic 12 meter area of the shields that was predicted to open for an ion attack.*
