Re: Open Orbit
But that was for later, and with that lat message sent, Niht strode to his starfighter and piloted it out of Carnage and to the aft section of the ship where Nox-4 was laboring to forge his new sword.
When he arrived, Niht could see that the process was moving along nicely. The two day folding process had given the unrefined metal a great deal of strength, and the vast infusions of Force energy Niht had personally channeled into it had gone a long way to making this into quite possibly the most lethal weapon in existence.
Niht took his place next to the laboring HRD and began the whole process of imbuing even more of the Dark Side into the weapon. But this time, along with the Force, he was adding several additional alchemical steps as well as whispering harsh spells. The dust of a Corusca gem was scattered over the forming blade, followed by several potions of various colors and viscosity. The smoke that bellowed off of the white-hot metal would have killed anyone breathing it, but it was the arks of twisted, dark energy that shot out that was a true concern for the armored Sith Lord. One such bolt of energy flickered out like a living rope and barely missed striking Niht. Instead the wild energy caressed one of the cortosis armguards - slicing it in half.
Regardless of the dangers, or perhaps because of them, Niht pushed on - pouring the Dark Side of the Force into the metal and using all the skills he possessed to craft this blade...
Time had no meaning for the Sith Lord - there was only the task at hand.
